I TRIED TWICE TO SPIN MY DEER HAIR ON THE HOOK !!!! WHAT A FRAKIN MESS !!!! HOW THE HECK DO YOU SPIN THREAD ON THREAD WRAPS..... On bare shank yes but I can see where you have the deer hair started and it's on the portion of the hook that you tied down the Elk body hair. . I managed to tie one complete but had to scrap the next two.... The second one went a lot better. ON SLOW MOTION I noticed you graded the tail and held on to it "before" you spun your deer hair. I also spun the deer hair on the bare shank 😋 much better. Thanx for the pattern . Tight lines.
I used this fly for the first time last weekend in high altitude cold water and it worked like no other fly that day. Great pattern and great video.
