Mercedes’ Birthday Celebration!

On September 23, 2024, we celebrated my wife Mercedes’ birthday a day early. Her actual birthday is on September 24, but we held the party the day before to ensure all her closest friends and family could be there. The event started at 5 p.m. and was supposed to wrap up by 9 p.m., but some of our wonderful guests stayed until 2 a.m. to greet her at midnight on her actual birthday! It was an evening filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who came. Your presence made the day extra special, and we feel incredibly blessed to have shared this moment with all of you. Every one of you is dear to us, and the celebration wouldn’t have been the same without you.
*The Celebration*
Mercedes, the heart of our family, was the star of the evening. We had an intimate gathering with just our closest friends and family, and the energy was amazing from start to finish. There were kids running around, laughter in every corner, and a sense of love and togetherness that filled the air. It was a perfect reflection of how cherished Mercedes is by everyone in her life.
As a proud husband and father, I couldn’t help but capture as many of these beautiful moments on camera as I could. Watching our daughter, who’s only 2 years old, playing and seeing Mercedes surrounded by the people she loves made me realize how lucky we are to have this community.

This quote rings true for us. The party wasn’t just about Mercedes’ birthday; it was about celebrating family and the bonds we share with those who truly matter.
*The Early Celebration and the Midnight Toast*
We held the party a day early because we wanted everyone who’s important to Mercedes to be able to attend. The date didn’t matter as much as having the people who are closest to us there. The fact that some stayed until 2 a.m. to wish her a happy birthday at midnight just shows how much love and support Mercedes has.
One of the most memorable moments was gathering around at midnight to sing “Happy Birthday” as the clock struck twelve. It was spontaneous, heartfelt, and a perfect way to mark her special day.
*A Little Hiccup: The Police Came*
At around 8:40 p.m., one of our neighbors called the police on us, complaining that we were too loud. While it was frustrating to have the party interrupted, we didn’t let it ruin our night. We spoke with the officers, and afterward, we simply continued enjoying the celebration. We refused to let it get in the way of the joy and love that filled the room.

The late-night celebration, with a few close friends and family sticking around to greet her on her actual birthday, was such a beautiful way to end the night. It was a reminder of how much Mercedes is loved by those around her.
