Hi Cat, great video. I am a little confused because this one has a different process then the other couple I watched. In this one you use one of your compact Bibles (purple one), and highlighted the scripture for the day, added tip-in’s, and I’m not sure what else you wrote in the Bible. Did you write something on the tip-in’s? How do you know what topic (monthly challenge) and where to find it in your compact Bible? So, the other couple of video’s I watched you used a large Bible, and a notebook. I can’t remember what you did in your Bible, I don’t remember you opening it up (I think you called it your Turquoise Bible, although it was brown. My hearing is bad). Then you wrote the scripture and any notes you had in the separate notebook. I know it doesn’t matter if I use a notebook or a TN; it is what I am actually suppose to do in my Bible that I am somewhat confused about. Thanks for the great info!
You're getting confused because these videos are only here to give you examples of what you can do during your own bible study time or for the Scripture Writing Challenge... you can use any bible or size and the same with a notebook. You use whatever you have on hand first. Once you have a better understanding of what you're doing than you can go out and buy whatever works best for you. Never ever buy anything just because you seen it in my video. Because what works for me may not always work for you. So the only thing you need is a notebook and your bible will a single pen or a few different colors totally up to you. Scripture Writing Challenge 1st Pray ask God to open up your heart & mind so you can receive what you're about to learn 2nd read the verse for that day. 3rd write it down (word for word) 4th reread what the bible says and than reread what you wrote make sure it's correct. 5th You can Journal this verse (However you like in your bible) or you can leave it blank. Or you can just date it and underline it. 6th end it with prayer thanking God for this time with Him. Than go on with your day meditating on what you wrote Hope this helps answer your questions

I knew a preacher who would cut up cheap Bibles and glued the reference he is studying on paper in a binder. That gave him very wide margins.

I like the idea of highlighting the daily bible passage and dating it. I am going to start doing that as well.

I really like writing out 3or4 scriptures then taking notes.
I also use different translations,maybe notes or things from different translations (definitions from the Greek or Hebrew).
