brazilian here, i remember coming home from school and seeing this live on tv. we all hoped for a good ending, it was devastating. it shocked the country. police acted poorly and the main TV personalities who talked to the killer should have faced consequences, but they didn't and are still on air to this day, still making sensationalized content. rip eloá, you are missed

I saw this vid a while back and I'm still baffled at the incompetency of the authorities and the inhumane actions of the tv reporters.

Watching and hearing what happened really passed me off. The people on TV should have been arrested.
I definitely think that with hostage situations, people should tread with caution and try to do better in terms of trying to save the hostages.
