@@chongo7723 Yeah I think they're both the most challenging from what I've heard. K2 is particularly more dangerous than Everest because it's so steep all the way up, plus it's a good bit colder and the storms are harsher. Annapurna I has one of the highest fatality rates though! But obviously none of these mountains are "easy" by any means 😆

Honestly, none of these peaks around this altitude do. They're not meant for the living. The temps, the winds, the terrain. Lack of oxygen. There aren't any animals up there for a reason.
Mountaineering can be a dangerous pursuit, in the most ideal conditions, on small mountains. With mountains like K2 it is life-threateningly dangerous just to get to base camp.
Of course Nims made it first lol. He's a fukin legend, just saw him on The Wonton Don taking Donnie and his crew to Everest Basecamp. Just getting to Basecamp is a goal in itself and also require permits.

@@keith3946 Depends on where and how I swim. 🤔 I'm a 68 yr old with naval experience... and I do swim almost every day at my local Y. A lifeguard is on duty watching the pool. The water is clean and kept on a strict maintenance schedule. The water is at about 80 degrees F. I'm healthy and a well trained swimmer. The odds of my surviving such activity are high. Most drownings happen in home pools, to very small children, who can't swim, in a pool without a lifeguard. I ameliorate my risk by being careful and using professional facilities. Mountaineering is a sport with very different odds. The probability of dying or being injured climbing mountains is much higher, in general, about 0.7... it's much higher on K2 and other 8000m+ peaks. The mountain has a tendency to make people ever so slightly incompatible with the newest life patch
A quote I saw recently.
Every dead body on Everest was once a highly motivated and driven person. So why don’t you just chill a little?
