I could smell the whole percolator scene! It just took me back to our kitchen South Ga and my mom’s bridge club days. Walking in the door from school and smelling coffee and cigarettes. (My parents didn’t smoke so it’s a distinct fond memory.) These are incredible videos!!!
For me, being born in 1990 but my father in the 1950s he had a lot of things you show. The green colored appliances and countertops. My grandmother had much of these pieces in the time frame you're in, in your videos and it's such a nostalgic comfort. Also, reminds me of summers watching The Wonder Years. The names of the products are such a kick, like Cream Supreme and Cream Sachet. Love it! And presented so beautifully, Sherri. I admire your limited use of cuts. It really enhances the experience. When watching your videos, I often wonder if you have rehersal before diving in. Your thoughtful, knowledgeable presentation, the willowy way you handle the products and place them so carefully in the lovely display. I'd be takes and takes of ums and uhs and dropped sachets and what was I trying to says and spilled powders and all other sorts of mayhem but you make all the effort you put in feel effortless. Your content is a true joy to watch and to be lulled into relaxation by your dulcet tones, and soft, inviting ambience is a magnificent treat! Thank you. ❤

My ASMR tingles are triggered more by visuals than any sounds, and something about the very precise and delicate way you move your hands really does it for me. Trinkets are also one of my sure-fire go-to triggers, so this video combining your hand movements and all these lovely vintage bottles has me melting into a puddle!

I Found those canisters out and about and just about died. My mom had those in the first house I ever remember. It came back to me all at once and I scooped them up. Haha😂

I always adjust the colors during editing to give the vids a vintage feel. But this one may have felt a bit less “vintage-y” because I recorded it in my living room against a different background than usual.

Am I crazy but is this a different Avon lady? Other than a name change (Madeline, not Sherri), I also feel like this one has a different “voice”. This community of ladies is different - more upper crust- than the ones at the Tupperware party. Mary Sue’s mom gets flowers from New York, while Pamela’s mom has to sew her clothes from Jo Ann Fabrics patterns.
