sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
"...Its like the Lord of the Rings out here" - I know these guys are obviously experienced and well traveled by this point but that comment really encapsulates the sheer beauty of sprawling mountain-scapes. As someone from the east coast, I grew up and spent most of my life pretty much blind to what a towering behemoth true mountains are. The Appalachian mountains have a beauty all their own, but I still remember the first time I saw what true mountains were when I first went on a cross country trek out west. There really is an almost fantasy vibe to them which throws you into that mindset of something like Lord of the Rings.
If you notice my google handle, I climbed Denali in 1996 and it remains one of the greatest experiences of my life. So glad you guys went and video’d this!!!
OMG that is the BEST !! YES where are the bushwacking scenes where you THOUGHT you would be riding only 92 miles but it turns out to be detour after detour and as Alex said, you end up riding 254 miles???
You guys have found the group, everyone is fantastic on camera, great chemistry. Keep up the great videos! I've been watching since the beginning and it has really improved, this is now peak Mediocre content! I will be tuning in for as long as you produce!
I haven't done any biking in a long time I mainly watch for the skiing videos. With that being said, this has to be one of the best videos on the channel!
I did this road as a night ride from 4pm to 4am back in 2007 on a rented mountain bike! I've never forgotten how incredible that place is, your video made me so nostalgic. Thank you so much for posting, beautiful!
Great footage. It is impossible up understand the scale of that mountain until you see it in person. Can’t wait to go back someday. A bike would be a good way to do it but I think I would need a few more days.
Everyone's fishing in August You guys need to keep doing what you live to do and keep posting videos of your adventures. AND ALSO DONT BE SCARED TO MAKE YOUR VIDEOS AN HOUR OR LONGER. every minute is breath taking
It was exciting to see this episode popping up. Those bike carriers are really cool. I think this is the first time I am seeing a whole different category of scenery. 👍👍
You are far from mediocre...thanks for the great video. I am contemplating going to ride in Denali with my little Velo Orange Mini Velo from Anchorage to Denali and ride that same road and camp out there like you fellows did. I really appreciate this video, you did an amazing job and it is of great help. Cheers.
Words can’t describe how badly I want to see and climb this mountain! Ive been going after state high points for two years now and this mountain is always on my mind. I’m so glad you guys got to see Denali!! Thanks for sharing.
Are those wolf pups at 15:30? Amazing video, I did that ride 23 years ago on a beat up gary fisher hardtail. Bus dropped me off at wonderlake and rode out. Thanks for restoking my memories.
Outstanding. Cool to see it without crowds. Got up to Denali last year, and I kept seeing people on bikes wishing I was one of them. Spent the previous week in the Wrangell-St. Elias backcountry though, so can't complain a whole lot.
I haven’t been this early! I can’t wait. EDIT: This was so awesome. I would love to see more adventures in Alaska! Maybe sometime you can climb Denali.
Great video. Brought back many memories of doing the ride in 2003 and 2005 on a road bike (mistake) & 2005 a mtn bike. It rained and snowed off and on and camped at Wonder Lake on day. Always a 2 day trip. Denali, lucky for us was always in full view.
Great video. I worked at the Park for 6 summers including a year at Eielson. The weather you had was classic summer weather. You were lucky. Some people never get to see the mountain. Overcast is best for wildlife sittings and you definitely had your share. And you beat the worst mosquitos by going in late August.
Growing up in Alaska all my life I never really appreciated the vastness and beauty that the state offers (especially the mountains) until I left. Alaska is a gem!! Keep riding guys!!
Your guys channel is something that I think will keep growing dramatically if you choose to keep it up! Love your content. Hardcore athletes with a camera! Hell yeah!
Dream team, 3 riders of the apocalypse, strike back with another awesome video! Stunning scenery, hope to get there one day! I was so worried during the video that you (and we) might not see it but luckily sometimes there is justice in this world! 👌💪🙏
URGH! I need to start riding again, dig my bike out and get it in working condition, LOL I've been a fan of your vids for a while, Keep on keeping on, Thanks for sharing,
I didn't watch mediocre amateur before now, after being an avid listener of News AF for 2 years, and I am so ashamed. I've watched 5 of these videos in the past two days. These are amazing guys, keep up the great work!
Got the notification and watched immediately. Wanted to give it a like and 447 already beat me to it, lol. I love Alaska ❣️I haven’t been there since the mid 90’s but have seriously considered retiring there and skiing Alyeska again and again and again. Love the content guys!!!
Man, what an awesome adventure. My family had plans to spend a few weeks in Alaska this summer, including staying at one of the backcountry lodges at the end of the Denali Park Road, but we of course had to cancel everything because of covid. While I'm not sure if we'll get the opportunity to plan a trip like that again, it does relieve some of that pain seeing you guys have such a unique experience at Denali. Here's to the Mediocre Amateur crew going on the adventures we can't go on, so that we can live vicariously through them. Love this channel.
I’ve watched all of your videos, such a big fan of you guys and this channel. Just have to say, the stuff you’re doing now is truly inspirational and the gang is just solid right now. Cheers to you and thanks for the content. Also, the filming and editing is top notch.
Y’all loading those bikes and gear in the truck looked like a line from 70s rock. “We were just another band out of Boston. On the road tryin to make ends meet.” The rest. Very cool. Very cold. Very beautiful.
You guys could have hand delivered the hoodie I got last week. Glad you all could experience the park road. I ride the road once every year. I had plan to run it this year but logistics were not to be
This is one of the most amazing videos you guys have done. Wow. That view of Denali is so worth the ride out there. Thanks so much for taking us along with you. 🤘👏
Wow. Thank you for taking me along on this incredible adventure. I speak bikepacking and I can only imagine what the awe seeing Denali, alone, must have felt like.
Several years back my wife and I road the bus out and back, 92.5 miles one way, and never once saw Denali. No complaints at all though, we would do it again in a second. Thank you!
So Christoph's bike is an enigma... it appears to be a Felt Doctrine 1 (XC MTB) that was converted to have drop bars? Did he build it from scratch or are Force/Rival 1x levers compatible w/ Sram MTB rear derailleurs? Love the video!
Good eye! It is indeed a Felt Doctrine hardtail with drop-bars installed. The magical wizardry of SRAM AXS wireless components makes a mullet setup with SRAM Red brake lever/shifters and X01 Eagle cassette and derailleur possible. 2.1 in xc mtb tire up front and 47c gravel tire in the rear. RockShox 100mm brain suspension fork. This is a straight copy-cat of Lael Wilcox’s bike she races in the Tour Divide ultra-endurance bike race, I just have a Felt frame instead of her Specialized Epic. I had the frame and didn’t know what to do with it until I saw her rig and thought “that’s what I’ll build!” Over-kill for the primo gravel of the Denali Park Road, but I wanted to test it out and it was a Cadillac ride for sure!
*Just got back from a Texas Hill Country Short hike.* My legs were sore, but coming down I acted like I summit'ed 3 mountains. 😂 I said out loud in a sacracistic voice to my friends " *Cleary I am not Mediocre, Nor an Amateur!* 🙄" Take Care & Safe Travels Everyone!
Some friends and I had the pleasure of seeing Denali +/- a day or two from the opposite side (the state park). We’ve been followers of yours for years now and were happy to see you all coincidentally in Alaska at the same time!
I took the bus to that mile 55 close to 2 yrs ago today. Not sure if they're always there, but there was a pair of moose antlers hanging out which made for some nice pics (obviously you hold them to your head pretending to be a bull). Gorgeous scenery, but unfortunately didn't see much wildlife aside from a moose or two and some very distant caribou and dall sheep.
Matt: “That’s amazing”
Danny: “Cool”
Christoph: “I thought it would be bigger.”
Eric Triplett THANK YOU!! 😂👍🏼👏🏼
"dude you're letting all my warm out" 🤣
That's what she said
Such an underrated channel, you guys are an inspiration!
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?
I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Gary Alden instablaster =)
I completely agree
When do you guys climb Denali? looks like some "nice" ski touring
Kinda watching during my zoom classes rn
Haha same
i used to watch during my math class all the time, but then i realized i would loose focus... so now i do it during english!
same , smh i should be paying attention...
Real question is how do you find 3 good friends willing to travel and go on adventures with?
The climbing community has plenty of nice people that love going on adventures!
I’m know right! I’m only at one friend at best.
IF someone is looking for hiking companions for Denali, hit me up. I am also open to camping in the dead of winter.
Same here. I have friends but none like adventures in the wild. Don’t think I would do a trip like this alone.
I always wonder this too! I have good friends, but only few would be willing to do something like. Let's start our own group?!
Guys, this might be my favorite MA video yet. As much as I like the mountain scrambles and skiing, this was super cool. Thank you for sharing.
Good views but I also enjoy the suffering lol
If you notice my google handle, I climbed Denali in 1996 and it remains one of the greatest experiences of my life. So glad you guys went and video’d this!!!
Denali is so so beautiful and hugeeeeeeeeeeeeee, worship the creator not the creation, great video guys.
Haven’t even watched yet, but I know this will be amazing.
I'm just surprised that 92 miles didn't turn into 254
Its an out and back right? So its 184 miles.
OMG that is the BEST !! YES where are the bushwacking scenes where you THOUGHT you would be riding only 92 miles but it turns out to be detour after detour and as Alex said, you end up riding 254 miles???
My new favorite RUclips channel - serious squad goals.
You guys have found the group, everyone is fantastic on camera, great chemistry. Keep up the great videos! I've been watching since the beginning and it has really improved, this is now peak Mediocre content! I will be tuning in for as long as you produce!
Taking that road by bike is much better than by bus - trust me!
Lived in Fairbanks for a decade....seeing this makes me homesick. Great video
Half expected you to all run up Denali in your swimming trunks before breakfast.
I haven't done any biking in a long time I mainly watch for the skiing videos. With that being said, this has to be one of the best videos on the channel!
It's beyond me how this channel doesn't have about a million more subs...
These videos are so underrated. Love to watch em all. Keep it up!
This makes me want to go to the Alaska national parks so bad! How do you guys not have a million subscribers. Most underrated channel on youtube.
So cool. My wife and I just got back from a week in Alaska yesterday. We lucked out and got sunny skies all 7 days. Glad you got to see Denali!
Catching up on your videos and this one so far my fav!! The amazing views and road for yourself and Denali priceless!!
The smile on Danny's face seeing Denali put a smile on mine. Good stuff guys!
I did this road as a night ride from 4pm to 4am back in 2007 on a rented mountain bike! I've never forgotten how incredible that place is, your video made me so nostalgic. Thank you so much for posting, beautiful!
Thanks Danny...that was like a 30 minute vacation at my desk!
Great footage. It is impossible up understand the scale of that mountain until you see it in person. Can’t wait to go back someday. A bike would be a good way to do it but I think I would need a few more days.
Thank you Danny, Matt & Christoff. This is one magnificent episode. I am so happy to have seen. CONGRATULATIONS
Everyone's fishing in August
You guys need to keep doing what you live to do and keep posting videos of your adventures. AND ALSO DONT BE SCARED TO MAKE YOUR VIDEOS AN HOUR OR LONGER. every minute is breath taking

Absolutely Gorgeous Views!!! ❤️❤️❤️⛰😊
Best video you guys have put out. The build up to the Denali view was perfect, keep doing your thing and keep inspiring
Everyone: Elephant
Matt: Elefunt
Words can’t describe how badly I want to see and climb this mountain! Ive been going after state high points for two years now and this mountain is always on my mind. I’m so glad you guys got to see Denali!! Thanks for sharing.
Denali is absolutely amazing!
You guys are amazing, thanks for the diversion of vicarious living through all of your adventures! Keep on Truckin......
Crazy beautiful! Love Matt’s bear awareness. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Having one of the worst weeks of my life, so its relieving to know that for the next 28 minutes I will be distracted.

Glorious view of Denali.
I've not ridden a bike in years, I'd grown tired of doing so, but, this video... Woooow! You guys have me researching this trip now. Well done boys!
I have been to Denali several times but now I want to bike it. I love, love, love that mountain. Thank you!!
Great video. Brought back many memories of doing the ride in 2003 and 2005 on a road bike (mistake) & 2005 a mtn bike. It rained and snowed off and on and camped at Wonder Lake on day. Always a 2 day trip. Denali, lucky for us was always in full view.

I am jealous! You guys have the best adventures.

Love to hear your training regimen. Bicycling, running, skiing are all activities using different muscle groups. Great videos!
Your guys channel is something that I think will keep growing dramatically if you choose to keep it up! Love your content. Hardcore athletes with a camera! Hell yeah!
Saw christof at REI before he left for the trip, stoked to see how it went! Video production is amazing too.
Dream team, 3 riders of the apocalypse, strike back with another awesome video! Stunning scenery, hope to get there one day! I was so worried during the video that you (and we) might not see it but luckily sometimes there is justice in this world! 👌💪🙏
WOW I didn't know Denali was so majestic from afar! Such a gorgeous ride! Matt was right!
Keep up the great work, I love watching your videos.

What an awesome adventure. So glad you guys got that view of Denali!
I would love to see the ridge traverse but just put music in place of the audio
I agree! I'd watch these guys do their version of the cheesy outdoor music video thing any day.
Got the notification and watched immediately. Wanted to give it a like and 447 already beat me to it, lol. I love Alaska ❣️I haven’t been there since the mid 90’s but have seriously considered retiring there and skiing Alyeska again and again and again. Love the content guys!!!

Great video! The landscapes on day 1 reminded me of Iceland
Thank you so much, beautiful video.
Cool video, as usual. Thanks for putting up all of this great stuff. Keep it up.
Beautiful trip, congratulations :) In 2019 I cycled from Anchorage to Wonder Lake and back to McKinley Park, it was mystical
Great stuff guys, what an epic ride! You are an inspiration! Thanks for sharing this with us!
You guys could have hand delivered the hoodie I got last week. Glad you all could experience the park road. I ride the road once every year. I had plan to run it this year but logistics were not to be
You guys are very fortunate to experience this.
Awesome guys... thanks for sharing this

Very nice vdo. Just how MASSIVE does the Majestic Mt Denali looks from that location?? Thanks👍❤
That is your very best video so far, guys! Very optimistic you will climb that big D someday ;) gl and thank you!
Just waiting for the day when you guys summit Denali in epic fashion.
I would love to do this next year 🤩
Well I know what park I am working at next. Gotta see this mountain!
Thanks for the amazing and inspiring content again Mediocre Crew. Cheers!

I love this channel! I get the same feeling like I got before a new episode of game of thrones every times there’s an upload.
Wow never been this early to your guys vedios. Keep up the amazing content
I would regret not riding the entire out and back route. You spent a year planning this ride so soak it all in!
Some friends and I had the pleasure of seeing Denali +/- a day or two from the opposite side (the state park). We’ve been followers of yours for years now and were happy to see you all coincidentally in Alaska at the same time!
Best Camp-side view of Denali . . . EVER . . .
