@Android2137 Thats a case of what tvtropes calls "your mileage may vary" from what ive read and seen on animesuki umineko board, both Kinzo being dead AND Shkanon were figured out by the majority of the fandom by the end of Banquet. i myself havent gotten to play much before the ep 3 myth battle since by the time i got the game, the anime started so my knowledge of before that point is in the anime. also apparently ep 3 was COMPLETELY redone cuz ep1 adn 2 were considered too hard
@G0ldenButterfly If that wasn't true, then beatrice would join Battlers logic error in EP6... "personality switching" was the only way to make it possible for Kanon to "leave" his own closed room and also to "stop existing", without exitting Battler's closed room later on. If they wouldn't be considered different persons, then it would become a logic error just like in Battlers case... If Erika just told Beatrice to repeat that "kanon's body" is not in the room, it would be game over :O

For example in anime Ronove cut Beato of from telling red truth. That was a huge hint for that scene that someone was not murdered, died by accident or by suicide. Hints that Shannon and Kanon being same person though? Some red truths disprove that possibility. "6 people: Kinzo, Genji, Shannon, Kanon, Gohda, and Kumasawa are dead! " and Battler states people to mean bodies in EP6. Also Erika in EP5 saw Shannon and Kanon together.
@G0ldenButterfly well im talking about in fandom. i myself would rather make shanon the body/ psycho killer bisexual instead of some no face no name nobody we just meet for the majority of ep 7 and supposedly has a tough childhood. but hey most of it is shown with magical elements so how much are we supposed to believe happened

Calm down. :D Shannon, (SPOILER) Beatrice and Kanon had taken part of demons Furfur and Zepar's game. The winner gets happy ending in love. (in 6th game there is explained that if Shannon's romance with George works out: Kanon will leave the island. Besides some rules forbits romance with furniture. Beatrice joined this battle, because she wanted happy ending with Battler. ) so demons' abilities on crating miracle is needed. The last one standing is the winner. Simple as that. :)
@Yamiyokun That is actually what I hate about this series. I dove in expecting a solvable mystery like Higurashi. Sure the arcs were different versions of the same few days, but you could trust the info you were given because even the lies and delusions were clues to the truth. But halfway in Umineko, I discover, oh great, almost all of the arcs I just saw were basically fanfictions! Great! How was I supposed to know Shannon and Kanon were the same person? How was I to know Kinzo was dead?
@Yamiyokun Well one could argue that "Shannon" isn't actually bisexual. As Shannon and Kanon are seperate personalities. And "Shannon" has only shown romantic interest in George and Battler. It is "Kanon" who is in love with Jessica. Yes the two servants are the same physical person, but since Yasu has a major case of MPD, one could view them as two different personas entirely.
