i saw them back in november for an optional choir field trip. i turned in the money for it and found out that night it was my friends birthday- i have 0 regrets going to the concert. they made me realize how much expression can elevate a choral performance- my school’s choirs are pretty good, but i’d never seen or heard singing that’s as expressive as theirs, and it also gives me hope that i won’t have to give up choir after high school.

I was tremendously moved by this when I heard it at Hill, and on seeing it again, it holds up every bit as much as I'd hoped. This deserves to be the gold standard for the TTBB setting of the piece.
