    It was Alkan who gave the last movement it's name, he was fond of it, played it multiple times in public

      И использовал аллюзию на ля-бемоль-мажорный эпизод из 4 части сонаты Вебера до мажор во второй теме (также ля-бемоль мажор) своей до-минорной Токкатины ор.75 (1872)))

    Martin Krauss was right! "Claudio Arrau, the biggest piano talent since Liszt!" Absolute amazing performance! Bravo!!

    Please upload all of his sonatas, if you can't then I must request number three, it would be great to follow the sheet music with richter performance for example.

    i read an old piano method once that placed Weber's sonatas in the same grade as Beethoven's late sonatas

      I don’t know that they are that difficult, but Weber had huge hands and he made no allowances in publishing for small hands. It can get really awkward, especially in the piano concerti.

      フンメルやウェーバーの影響を受けている後輩作曲家のアルカンの作品は半ば自分の手が大きいと意識して弾く必要があります。

    I can't believe there was a time when Weber's Sonatas weren't seen for the sugary dross they are . Moskowsky has more charm but this Weber writes entire Sonatas and Arrau and Gilels and many others find something here . op.74.78,109 gave us sweetness without bloating us with sugaried nothingness . Oh Well !

    this is obviously too fast. dotted rhythms cannot be heard.

  • @tarikeld11
    @tarikeld11 3 года назад

    Why does Arrau think it's a good idea to play every piece that is faster than Allegretto like Prestissimo? I do not believe this is the intention of the composer.

      In his early years he was quite the speed demon. By the time he was in his 70s and 80s he turned Prestos into Allegrettos and Andantes into Adagios. Check out his Beethoven sonatas from the end of his life.
