I personally do not have any trouble working with knit as I worked during some years in jersey factory. I still have a serger today that help greatly. But I always appreciate your videos with tips and great info for everybody. I share them with great pleasure. big hug
Thank you for watching and for sharing. I had a nice serger awhile back, but never got the hang of using it with good results. Now I wish I had it back.
Thanks for this demo. I know I really needed it. Doing those straps, how can it be that easy? Of course I was making it harder than it needed to be. LOL. Wonderful video. But yes, the music not so much. I like your speaking the directions as well as demoing. My next bathing suit should look pretty darn good from now on. Thanks again!
Hi Tamara! It's so good of you to post these helpful videos. I love my Designs by Jude patterns. What sewing machine are you using to demonstrate? I have several vintage Singers but only the newer machines that do a zigzag stitch. Your narration, camera position and explanations are great. I'll add my vote for no music. (I know you can't please everyone!) If you keep making these tutorials, I'll keep watching them. Thank you.
Hi Margie, I use a Pfaff 130. It's about 50 years old, but I love it. I am glad to receive the feedback about the music. Is it the actual music in the video or music playing during sewing videos? Trying to find what people like best. Thanks for watching.
@@DesignsbyJude Tamara, you're a sweetie for replying so quickly. I have to say it's really great to put a face and voice with the Designed by Jude brand. I enjoy your narration, the directions are to the point and well stated. You have a pleasant voice! It's the music playing at all for me. I listen to the music on the internet while I read and watch videos. There are so few people who add in narration to a video after the fact; I like your camera technique of pausing and resuming between steps. The combination of speed ups for the straight sewing along with details on the particular steps for the highlighted video work well for me too. Find what's best for you! I love seeing the series evolve. It's great when long standing companies reach out in new ways. Being in any successful business these days is a challenge with so much social media to reach out to. Thanks again. I'll look into the Pfaff line, mine are Singers.
@@selfmadedoll Thank you for the additional information Margie. I want the videos to be as helpful as possible. I saw one today that had time stamps for the different construction steps so the watcher could go to the part they were struggling with. Maybe I will try this technique in the future.
I came up with the name from my family. My husband and two sons all share the middle name, Jude. Over the years many customers have thought my name was Jude or Judy. :)
Hi, Tamara, Probably silly question here, but having looked repeatedly at the referenced website for patterns - am I just missing anything for regular Barbie? I see the Silkstone patterns, but most other dolls seem different sized? Does Barbie just fit into the ‘pretty girl’ fashion dolls? Or do you feel that there are already enough Barbie patterns available to purchase or download? Thanks so much. Really enjoying your series.
Hi Becky, Unfortunately I do not have any patterns for the play line Barbie. The Silkstone patterns are the only ones. With Simplicity and McCall having the corner on these patterns, I have not ventured into designing for her.
I have not had too much trouble with the fabric rolling. You may want to add some width to the seam allowance when you are cutting the fabric out and then sew it and trim off the extra. I ordered some quilter starch that can be used on sheer fabric, its a temporary stabilizer, but may work with knots aw well. I'll have to give it a try.
I like the tips you shared, but I hate the music on this video, so I hope you will just talk trough the video next time, like you did in the first few. I really found that very informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Thank you for the tips on how to sew with knits. Loved this tutorial showing how to do this swimsuit.
Thanks for watching!
Love the video! Great swimsuit.
Thanks so much!
Me encanta su estilo de coser tengo que hacer uno igual gracias por compartir .
Gracias por ver.

Great, I really love the verbal step by step, spedding up the feed was a little more difficult to follow. Love everything you do though. Thank you
Thank you for watching. Happy New Year! :)

No comment just wondering how you came up with designs by jude

@@DesignsbyJude I totally understand. Thanks for the reply. 👍👍
How do you get the fabric to lay flat when sewing? It always wants to roll when sewing seems.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm trying to figure out the right mix of talking and demonstrating without the video being too long.
