the way ning’s existence was taken advantage of and the biggest mishap was caused by him indirectly, i feel so fcking sad for wen ning. he was such a pure innocent humble person.
I don't even believe it was Wei Ying's fault because look at Wenning's eyes. Completely different from usual. I believe someone else played the flute or a zither to disturb Wenning.
In the series they made it this way so indeed, it wasn't WWX's fault... But in the novel it was actually his fault, his heart was truly disturbed bc of almost everything that he went through and so he couldn't control Wen Ning. It said that he was unable to calm hisself and he was having a killing aura which Wen Ning misunderstood, since he couldn't control his aura, neither did he could stop Wen ning from Killing Jin Zixuan... so yeah, it was his fault. (Not to mention that all those who harmed him have something to do there too, since they were such hypocrites that seem to admire him while he helped with the Gunshot campaign but disliked him as soon as they saw he was different and yet more powerful than them)
This was Weiying’s biggest mistake. This may all have been set up to frame him up, but like what Meng Yao said, none of it would work if he hadn’t acted harshly. If only he stopped Wen Ning when JZ asked him to. He could’ve stop and they could’ve just leave. Pretty sure JZ and Wen Ning could protect him as they leave but nuuuuh he was too adamant to kill.

I´m not saying it´s not his fault though but still it´s understable thta he think that they would try to kill him as soon as he stopped Wen Ning so.
I think that even if Wen Ning was stopped when JZ asked WY to, similar events would have still transpired. They were too afraid and envious about Wei Ying and the supposed 4th Yin Iron Shard/ Stygian Tiger Amelet. Meng Yao would have concocted another scheme to try get Wei Ying like this, no doubt.

It wasn’t Wen Ning’s fault but Weiying is also to blamed. He could’ve stop and just walked away but he choose to keep going to kill the other guy...such a big mistake and he paid for it by losing everyone he wanted to protect. He learned this lesson later on.

He could’ve stop and leave after JZ told him to but he knew he could kill and teach the other guy a lesson so he went for it... they all paid the price for that mistake.

I don't think Wei Ying planned to be there and take their bullshit, or played with Wen Ning just because he was having fun with his powers. I don't think in that moment his mind was like "let me just show off how powerful my Chenqing is...". How could you let off someone that tries to ambush you and then provokes you destroying the only gift that you wanted to give to your own nephew, ruining everything once again. He could also have flaws, but I don't see what Wei Ying did wrong.
Laura Giancotti Nah it wasn’t his mind to show off his power but Weiying was too eager to kill. JZ stopped him and yes the other guy was annoying but Weiying could’ve stopped and walked away. But here he was in killer mode, no one could stop him. The author actually also said the same thing, saying JZ’s death was all Weiying’s fault. It was his biggest mistake, a mistake he learned in a hard way. All of these mistakes is what made Weiying a bit more mature when he revived.
I watched it and I cried so much. Now whenever I rewatch this episode, I skip all the painful scenes. It's up to you if you want to continue because urgh, it's a rollercoaster of emotions
C'est tellement atroce et touchant, comme scène. On ne comprend pas, sur le moment, pourquoi Wen Ning assassine le beau-frère de Wei Wuxian... qui ne pige rien non plus, d'ailleurs. C'est une catastrophe, et le personnage ne méritait pas cette mort. Cela ne prendra du sens que bien plus tard.
At this point if Wen brother & sister have trusted Wea Wuxian then i belived still this innocent wen people have stayed alive or maybe they caould have died in after war which happened next after this . But i list Wea would have not felt to die 1 point would have become less.
Have you seen the series??? If not than zauzian brother in law was killed. But it was a sneaky one as later it will find out that they used two flute without his knowledge and wen ning was manipulated to killed them

Rewatching this series actually gives more feels... compared to watching it the first time.
