Quick little google search of "How were women treated in the 1780-1800 by men" shows that and I quote "A woman was seen merely as a servant to her husband" and "Women were expected to be silent, chaste and more or less confined to the household, their identity submerged in that of a husband, father or master." first quote is from Atlanta history center and the other one is from University of oxford.

There's ghost hunting, and then there's this. Like. I had an imaginary friend named Henry that was a redcoat when I was a kid. Could he have been a ghost? Maybe. But like. Having lived in a 'haunted' house for a few years, the 'ghostly' activity definitely doesn't only happen at night, most of of it does though.
Definitely fun living a house with strange things happening, mainly, in the basement which also happens to be where you're room is.
I put 'haunted' and 'ghostly' in quotes because while I like to believe ghosts are real, there's no proof and likely every odd thing that happened could be explained via science(except maybe the sudden feeling of dread when I opened the deep freezer once).

There are people who can talk to spirits but they are not the ones out there lieing for money. They actually keep to themselves because to truly talk to a spirit (or ghost) it is draining and often times super scary.

As a ghost hunter I can agree that this is dillusional. The first rule of being a ghost hunter is investigate all possibilities and when there is no explanation you still investigate further. So you have to be skeptic going in, check pipes, creaky doors, radio signals.... What investigation was done on Rupert? What records are there of him?

I have a ghost in my home. I swear it's the spirit of someone's cat who used to live here. It's harmless, but sometimes it's an arse. Taps sometimes turn on. Things get pushed off the table for no reason. The other month I woke up to the sound of something being dragged across a dresser and when "I said don't you dare" I just heard something smash. Things disappear then reappear when I need them.
It usually resides in the cupboard under the stairs as it's always cold in there. I put all my cans of drink there as it's cheaper than using the fridge.

Wouldn't she be confused if records were kept of all the English soldiers that fought against the colonists and died on American soil during the Revolution, but not a single one of them matched that description with a first name of Rupert.
The strange thing is that this can’t even objectively be disproven. If you said “hey I’m dating a celebrity” I could find out and say ur a liar. But ghosts are something that can’t be proven, it’s a spiritual belief.
I should mention I believe in ghosts, but I maintain, I try to prove everything I possibly can about the supernatural parts of our existence before even considering it. I would never date a ghost this is kinda awkward…

Falling for a false telling is the fools tax, but very few of them are genuine. In the video the 2 women “sensed” the direction of the spirit. That’s an actual part of mediumship but it requires extensive training, I almost never do it without some type of consistent “detector”, and even that alone can’t prove their presence.
To sum it up, she got an obsession for the arcane reality, alas she lost her sanity in the process. That’s why I always prove everything I possibly can, (besides getting people to believe me) to retain my sanity and learn greater mysteries.

1) If its true and someone else says they can talk to him, how can you say "No you can't" If he is a real ghost and can talk with you, then anyone with a spirit box or maybe a medium should be able to talk as well
2) I do wonder if doing digging could disprove her all together or did they select a specific era/area that has just little enough info that leaves wiggle room? I only spent like 10 minutes and a single google search and did find a 82nd regiment of 1777 that was Prince of Whales based. They did spend time in the states during 79, so 81 is reasonable but no member listed had Rupert in the name.
Just 2 thoughts, that if we are to believe them to be true, counter their arguments. Also if she did have a connection to an old ghost, brings up issues of what their modern ancestors think of something using their family in some odd romantic relationship ordeal

So this is definitely delusional, and spirit boxes don’t work- however as someone who enjoys paranormal shows for funzies: the spirit box doesn’t use the “ghost” actual voice. The spirit box acts like a tool for the “ghost” to use and they’re able to use their “energy” to pull words and phrases already playing on the radio to communicate. So the country singers voice isn’t the “ghosts” voice. And there is no ghost ofc. But just wanted to correct that tid bit.

@@FreelancerFreakfor schizophrenia (don't take my word for it) the illusions can be very real and it's hard to differentiate. That's why some have dogs or pets specifically for schizophrenia. For example, they could tell their dog to greet, if the dog greets then that means the person is there (or thing it depends), but if the dog doesn't greet and just stares at them, that means it's an illusion. I'm not sure if this helps to understand a little, but I hope it does.
