Honestly, I don't like this Villa-Lobos piece. But Sergio Azzolini is a different kind of bassoonist. Each performance I've heard is charged with an intense energy that completely overtakes the hall. His Gubaidulina is miles above all others, and his Jolivet is rivaled only by Dag Jensen's. Even the difficult-to-like Hindemith concerto for bassoon and trumpet is wonderful in his hands. His treatment of this Villa-Lobos piece is more of the same. Absolutely wonderful.
What are you talking about? Sounds like the piece to me, and well played! I can tell why he's one of the top players in the world. Don't hate the playa, hate the game!
Além desta obra prima, ele compôs outra sob o mesmo título, a qual estou a procura: "Ciranda das sete notas - coro / fagote / quarteto cordas"; Rio de Janeiro, 1934.
One of one, the only, and the greatest. Sergio Azzolini.

An....interesting interpretation at best. Also someone tune the first violins
Could you tell me what orchestra is playing and what is the conductor, please? Thank you very much!
Miguel Pérez the orchestra is the Be’er Sheva Sinfonietta
Excellent player. I played this at music college lovely 20th century concertino. Try my humorous bassoon videos. Andrew Bassey
This performance is a joke, Could he play what is written??? I don't like it. He sounds well, but I don't like his way of playing this piece
