I was so happy to discover Emily Wilson’s translation of the Odyssey in a little free library in Rhode Island. I hadn’t read it in 20 years or so and I found her translation to be very accessible and enjoyable. I was talking about it so much to my friend that he decided to give me a pass to the Museum of fine arts in Boston where I saw a copy of Homer’s works, published in 1616 in addition to many works of Greek art. Thank you Emily Wilson.
