NETRA HOOT OWL TURKEY RUN 2023

Thanks Hoot Owls for putting this one together! Extra thanks to all of the land owners giving us the opportunity to ride in their woods! Started right around 9AM and completed just before 3PM. Did ~125 miles, fuel light was on at the end. No gas stops with the IMS 3 gal tank. Short of two leaks, zero breaks on my ride! Solid 6 hours of nonstop riding. Light mist the entire day, but started downpouring at 3PM. I got lucky with the weather on this one!
Hot take: Richardson’s farm area was looking to be in rough shape, was not a fun section going reverse of the typical race flow. Had one tree nearly impale me as it was laying down in the wrong direction. Few ruts were bike sized and would gobble you up if you weren’t paying attention. Maybe this spot should be sidelined for a couple years and new trails cut?

"They" might be right on paper. However, you cant quantify tractor factor and god dang this is a comfortable ride when you're not picking it up.

The bike is performing extremely well on these challenging trails. I almost did this turkey run, but the rain scared me off. Really nice course, well done
