I loved this song and video. This is a prime example of Stray Kids and what they do. I don't think it's different from any of their other title tracks. It's chaotic, unique, melodic, exciting, confusing, etc.... I think people don't like it because it's a love song. But there is more to it then just that. But to each their own. I think it's a dope song and so is the rest of the album. Stay through and through.
I wasn’t hooked on the song in the beginning but after listening to it a few times it grew on me Even Seungmin when asked “how was the song when you first heard it?” he answered “it was so-so” 😂😂
oh yeah, the first listen definitely made me more confused and distracted and overwhelmed and alienated. maybe it's me being a stay, but with skz, every relisten definitely unravels numerous elements that i didnt notice in first listen. i think this is why skz is one of those groups that feel timeless. (also, their vocals in this album is just BEAUTIFUL! a total level up from oddinary)
it surprised me people don't like it (it's fine, we're allowed to be human beings with personal opinions) because I've just had it on repeat since it came out. not to boost streams or anything, just because I like it and it's a track I can listen to actively while still doing other things. the MV is so fun too! the most skz way to do a love concept I couldn't have imagined it before 😆❣
I have the same reaction to Felix's voice! He just enters my soul and rips it out!! His opening verse on Victory Song literally gave me full body shivers, I've never reacted like that before! His "you can't resist it" in Charmer just ends me every time! And of course his vocals in Maniac are what first grabbed my attention and pulled me into this group! Now I'm a Stay for life!! I actually really enjoyed this song when I heard it... I am still fairly new to Stray Kids and I'm still working my way through their discography, but the change-ups in the song, the beat, the vocals all really resonated with me.... this coming from someone who's playlist on shuffle can go from pop to rock to hip-hop to disney music to metal to R'n'B to classical etc... so i guess their style and their habit of changing things up on the same track really vibes with me. i think it's coz skz have always dabbled on genre mixing, ie as mala taste pioneers, that theyve already got their transitions between rap and singing in the bag. 1. while this song doesn't have the signature loudness skz is known for, it has their iconic genre galore. it's giving more than two songs shifting. 2. it's evoking more of their storytelling technique (MV mirrors the lyrics a lot more, with less glam shots) 3. it's a new subject as it's their first love song as a title track, so it will definitely have its own color 4. im one of the people who love the layers of the song production, lyrics, concept, and the overall trajectory skz is going for in this album. I became a stay because of the experience ive been having from their genius curiosity in experimenting genres and expounding on their sound. and maxident is another example of that creativity.

Not many reactors are willing to sit there and go "hmmmm something about this isn't right." Stray Kids tho. I just think that those who said that the song isn’t good are those who expect TOO MUCH(or a hype song again) because it’s stray kids and they got big because of their songs like God’s Menu, Back Door and Thunderous which goes hard but stays who listen to the whole album knows they aren’t just that. They’ve done countless of genres, most even say more than 40 genres. I always remind myself that 1 genre is not for everyone and stray kids pulling fans through different songs of different genre, it’s not surprising to see others not liking certain songs but calling it bad isn’t true because how are you gonna compare their hype songs to a love song then call the love song bad and the fact that it still sound like stray kids is crazy lol, it’s just in preference at that point lol. All I can say is stray kids songs keep on evolving, it won’t cater everyone’s preference but that doesn’t make it bad.

The song is about trying understand overwhelming emotions and the other side of brain trying to understand what is happening (investigative 'police') 143 = Love. Adorable. There's an analysis video comparing set design and some screen shots to 'The Shining' and it's PERFECT! (carpet, etc.)
Thank you for your honesty review. Respect. This is a type of song that will pick you up and fun. I will add to my 400+ kpop Playlist and feel good when it comes on. I get that. The concept and video and song is so freaking creative. The shinning concept where stray kids are infected with love is the maxium incident and the title track of their new mini maxident album. But my favorite track on the album so far is Taste by Lee Know, Felix and Hyunjin it's a different vibe and the vocals mesh so well, and i love the song Chill.
I really loved this song! But yeah, I think everyone on the internet had a critical or unsure opinion on the teasers which kind of set the tone for many people upon first reaction. The first time I listened, I felt like I had a bunch of other peoples opinions circling in my head which made it difficult for me to fully absorb the song at first. But after a few listens, I realized that this is still so signature stray kids with crazy high production value, unique and interesting samplings and instrumentation, as well as another masterpiece of a video! I personally think this is a more refined song than Maniac because, even though maniac was amazing, I think the tonal switches are even more seamless and there is even more cohesion across the entire song.
If you like transitions, I can't wait to see you react to S-Class off their new 5-Star album!! It's fire 🔥 Most intense m/v I've ever scene. I hear the budget was astronomical lol. But they got an amazing result and the track is awesome. Hope you get to see it 🥰🥰

SONG EXPLANATION 🫶 The heart are actually virus that spread(pipi a.k.a big pink heart) skz and the reason the chicken got mad at felix because felix accidentally infected the chicken and that's why in first scene you can see fire because the virus is everywhere so changbin called the cops(bangchan)...so whoever gets affected acts irrationality (to make crime) When you pay attention to the chorus "WHY DO I KEEP GEETING ATTRACTED IM DRAW TO YOU LIKE A MAGNET I CANNOT EXPLAIN THIS REACTION THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS 143" they can't explain why their acting this way but we know the root of the problem is not stray kids themselves its the little heart monster (love) So cop kids capture them and in the last scene where I.N sings"CAN I BE THE ONE? YEA I'LL BE THE ONE" their in the heart monsters base they tried to end their daydreaming(virus) by pulling the plug. the set around them starts malfunctioning so they all put the plug back which stop the set from collapsing and then they sing this *IM GONNA LET YOU KNOW THAT IM JUST GONNA GO I'LL HOLD YOU SO I'LL NEVER LET YOU GO" basically their saying their saying they love you no matter what.
