Следует заметить, что озеро Кинерет лежит в расщелине на стыке тектонических плит Азии и Африки, на глубине 300 метров ниже уровня моря. Высота местности под дроном как раз соответствует уровню моря, а далее, вниз, к Кинерету - уменьшается.
Берега Галилейского моря известны библейскими событиями. Иисус жил в Капернауме, в Вифсаиде родились ученики Христа Андрей, Пётр и Филипп.
Голанские высоты идут по восточному берегу озера и поднимаются от него на север до горы Хермон.
Высоты изрезаны глубокими каньонами, которые текут с севера.
С запада озеро окружает Галилея.
