I can never take my eyes off Yaning, there’s something about her aura that’s so captivating, and wow her vocals, she’s truly an all rounder. Mashiro did amazing with leadership and was so charismatic. Jiwons vocals are insane, and her elegancy brought something new to this rock vibe. This was easily one of my favourites! They all deserve to debut

This proof yaning is good at singing too and not just rap. jiwon did that highnote effortlessly so she is not a visual only. mashiro might look like a softie but gurl can occupy this style and concept well. i love this performance!

So much in this perf explains why they won this. 1. The idea of putting rock elements to it. Mashiro and Yaning both have natural deep voices which are more suited with rock genre and was evidently highlighted here. 2. The distribution of parts. They absolutely knew who can kill which part the best and each one of them got the part where they can highlight their strengths in their vocal colors. Especially Jiwon which admittedly, I doubted would fit in to this song. She proved me wrong. 3. The vocal slide (I dunno if used the correct term) where the three of them harmonised. It was such a great add to this performance since MITM is originally rap-focused song. By adding that, not only they redirected the song as a vocal performance but they totally showcased another important part of a vocal performance - harmony/blending (not sure if I used the correct term too) 4. The final part where Yaning put melody on the lyrics. It greatly blended well to their theme (being betrayed by someone you love). The tone she used portrayed so much of the emotion she wants the audience to feel on the lyrics. And Jiwon hitting that high note at the end was a great setup to finish Yaning's haunting melody. So yeah. All in all, they absolutely ate this performance and it didn't feel like a copy to the original but instead, they took it and made it their own. Kudos to them.

Fu Yaning really fits this kind of concept, her voice, expression, and acting were all on point. Mashiro and Jiwon did a really great job too! What a flawless performance
Mashiro - a great leader, can do every single concepts, and the fact that she chose this song really tells us that she's almost a member in ITZY. Fu Yaning's redemption arc is now! She's so charismatic, she OWNS the stage. She was so kind and friendly with her team~. Most teams had arguments but they all worked so smoothly together, it was wonderful to see. All 3 of these girls are team players with star power. I hope Fu Yaning can be in top 9 now, she deserves it. She was so heavily criticized, her character was demonized, but she stayed strong and is showing her true kind side. I am truly rooting for her. Actually seeing all the kind comments makes me want to cry. She deserves this.

Now this. This is what stage presence and charisma is all about. This is the definition of it. This high amount of performance quality happens when you actually have fun on the stage. And thats what i'm looking for in these trainees, whether they are able to enjoy it or not. Fact: This teams have clear all of the past misunderstanding. People said that Fu Yaning is rude, but actually she is nice and caring of Mashiro and Jiwon. She trust Mashiro for the leader position. Sakamoto Mashiro as the leader of this team spoke politely and respectfully to the musical director when promoting a rock version for this rendition. Her manner of speaking, I am sure, was well received by Mnet’s musical staff and stage setup staff. Being respectful and kind are important traits when leading your team and asking for help from others that influence the overall performance. I like the way she speaks to her seniors and to fellow trainees. That is why she has many trainees cheering for her during the performance.
The fact that Mashiro listens to her groupmates' opinions to gather ideas and considers them is a great trait a leader should have. Her personality is great too.

Whatever you think of Yaning and her actions, she sings from the stomach in her full voice in a way almost none of the girls do giving her voice a lot of power, and she knows how to perform.
After this performance, Mashiro should debut since she's not only good in singing, dancing, and performing on stage, but she's also has an excellent leadership skills. Among the trainees/participants in gp999, I can say that Mashiro is the best in terms of LEADERSHIP. We noticed that the groups she's in wins (team fiesta, and this), this is because of her leading the team well. I can't say anything. This group is perfect. they are trying to be sassy, not scary. the make up looks nice and not too bold and it makes people see them as a girls that trying to tell you that they can get anything they want
Fu Yaning's redemption arc is now! She's so charismatic, she OWNS the stage. She was so kind and friendly with her team~. Most teams had arguments but they all worked so smoothly together, it was wonderful to see. All 3 of these girls are team players with star power. I hope Fu Yaning can be in top 9 now, she deserves it. She was so heavily criticized, her character was demonized, but she stayed strong and is showing her true kind side. I am truly rooting for her. Actually seeing all the kind comments makes me want to cry. She deserves this.
Still remember how Mashiro was shaking at first when she saw Yaning was in her team hahahahah so cute >< but now they're getting along so well!

Sakamoto Mashiro as the leader of this team spoke politely and respectfully to the musical director when promoting a rock version for this rendition. Her manner of speaking, I am sure, was well received by Mnet’s musical staff and stage setup staff. Being respectful and kind are important traits when leading your team and asking for help from others that influence the overall performance. I like the way she speaks to her seniors and to fellow trainees. That is why she has many trainees cheering for her during the performance.
