Gorgeous shots! You left out 3 other river gorges 😊 Toxaway, Horsepasture, and Thompson Rivers have some amazing scenery too

@@chrisramsey6725 I agree, however I do have other videos with them posted. Upstate is the best 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@captainjocassee awesome i will check them out. Yes, upstate SC and western NC are the best. I love the gorges of Jocassee. Its sad so many people just boat on the lake and have no idea of the amazing diversity of life and scenery exists in the actual rainforest itself.

@@chrisramsey6725 Spot on again!!!! The credit card captains could care less about the diverse flora and fauna the area has to offer, however that’s why there’s lots of guides sharing how priceless it really is.

@@captainjocasseetrue indeed. One of the best guides ever was the Guide to the Jocassee Gorges booklet by Bill Thomas. It had a modified topo map of the area showing all the waterfalls, logging roads, old graveyards, and unofficial traillls. It was my bible years back when I explored every nook and cranny of the Toxaway and Horsepasure gorges. I used to have it but misplaced it and cannot find it. Picked it up years back at a gas saltation in Sapphire NC

I think at around 3:30 was the back drop used for the nightmare scene at the end of the 1972 movie Deliverance, with the hand rising from the water. Can anyone confirm this?
