Superstar Janet Jackson makes her stunning film debut in director John Singleton's (Boyz N the Hood) street-smart love story, POETIC JUSTICE. A mismatched pair pushed together on a road trip from South Central L.A. to Oakland, Justice (Jackson) and Lucky (Tupac Shakur) have only one thing in common: they can't stand each other. But as their friends Lesha and Chicago (Regina King and Joe Torry) fight and make up in the back of the van, Justice and Lucky find themselves reluctantly drawn together. After a surprising detour toward romance, the two travelers are confronted once again by the shocking violence they thought they'd left behind. Featuring the music of Naughty by Nature and Tony! Toni! Tone! and the poetry of Maya Angelou, POETIC JUSTICE is every bit as intense, original and unforgettable as Boyz N the Hood.

The way Janet smiles and giggles like a teenager girl. Talk about she was 27 in this film and she look 16. At the end when 2Pac was looking at her. She look at back at him and just smile. They really have amazing chemistry in this film.

@@kirstendoe8480 Yep! It was after Tupac was killed that Janet went into that very deep depression that preceded and inspired her Velvet Rope album. I believe that she was depressed before but Tupac’s death was what took her over into a deeper sadness. She never publicly acknowledged it though.
@@sarahwright8645 that's makes sense! I remember Janet discussing Pac with Angie Martinez on the radio after his death in the 90s. She was talking about who he was as a person and how kind his soul was and how she got to see a side of him that he rarely showed. She sounded like she was going to tear up. His death probably did hit her hard.
Also one of her most famous songs That’s the Way Love goes which is so sensual and about having strong feelings about someone was released after the movie. I believe that song was inspired by her crush

We the only generation with Consecutive celebrity deaths every 2 to 8 years.
Pac's is the one that still takes the air out the room every time because he did so much within his short reign 1991-1996 thats alot of shit in that short amount of time.
