    • @EducationalLearning-i7l
      @EducationalLearning-i7l Месяц назад +1

      When additional Voltage Sources are added to the circuit, it causes the amps to act funny since the amps created from the different Voltage Sources can meet up with each other and strengthen the current.
      In this case, the Amps from the 8 Volt Battery would not go to the Negative Terminal of the 20 Volt battery, rather the 8 Volt Battery will go to it's own Negative Terminal, therefore, the Amps aren't being boosted by the 8 Volt Battery at the 4 Ohms Resistor like it is at i² Resistor, therefore, when the 20 Volt Battery completes its circuit at the 4 Ohm Resistor, it will not have the Amp boost from the 8 Volt Batrery, so it will use its original Amps that it had, which is i¹. And the reason why is because all Amps, AKA Current, wants to return to it's original source that produced it. The Current will not settle for a different Voltage Source, AKA Battery, that did not produce it.

    Thank you for explaining all this very well! I have one doubt though! Isn't it -4I2, instead of -4I1 at 54:00 , or is that i got it wrong? would be very helpful to get an answer. thank you so much again!

    • @FasAntick
      @FasAntick 6 лет назад +10

      I thought that too but since the 4ohm resister is after the last junction all the currents have recombine to make I1 again.

    • @siyengongoma3310
      @siyengongoma3310 4 года назад +2

      sum of I in = Sum of I out at the junction
      Therefore, I2 + (I1 - I2) = I1 That is how he got 4*I1

    • @brittonylovell9114
      @brittonylovell9114 5 лет назад

      There is no error, you missed part of the algebra. He divided the entire equation by 2. so 14 = 6i1 + 8i2 became 7 = 3i1 + 4i2

    • @kingibad

      yes, there is an error IMO. at 53:54 he should use -4i2 instead of -4i1. the first equation is wrong then right? it should be i1 + 6i2 = 7.

    Great videos! You are on the same level of quality, clarity, and helpfulness as Khan Academy. Everything is so easy to follow when you explain it. What kind of software/ device are you using to write with? I would like to get whatever it is to do my school work on. seems like it would be a great device to take in class notes with.
