Unfortunately some don’t have a choice. Some states you HAVE to let your name known to the public or you can’t claim the money. But they’re trying to get rid of that due to safety reasons but still, some states still require you to identify yourself publicly before claiming what you won. I hate that
@@dannyboiii2826what's the purpose to prove that somebody somebody knows can actually win so they can keep selling tickets to people who probably don't need to buy them in the first place?

Many decades ago I heard there was a support group in New York for lottery winners who had gone bankrupt. I was fascinated to learn that was a thing. It was pre internet era but I was able to use library books, newspapers, and magazines to understand better. There were two factors I found most incredulous about people in general that are just magnified by a big lottery winning. First, the failure to comprehend that millions of $ is not the same as infinite $. Second, inability to visualize that after buying things there are ongoing costs for maintenance, insurance, etc.
#14 - STARTS WITH 200 MILLION ENDS UP WITH 1 BILLION #13 Starts with 100 million ends up with 10 million. if she just invested in Berkshire hathaway alone whould have gotten 12% per year and could have given away 1 million to dad and brother and still had 8 million left.. just off yearly earnings..
Government is the biggest winner of Lottery. Government pays out about 50 % of funds collected by sales. Then, the winner gets to pay about 50% income taxes. Why allow government to give such poor odds and then confiscate half of the winnings ? -- In Europe, the government doesn't double tax everything.
Do you know how much she is still worth? She has kept it hidden how much money she lost. I believe she still have millions left but not nearly as much as how much she won
As soon as i win ill show you what a successful mega millions winner that does it the right way 👌 My house is $500k house 🏠 And my car is $40k 🚘 $25mil in the VOO should make me around $2,000,000 per year. Ill put an extra $2m in the VOO to make around 8% per year and ill use that $160k a year to travel around south east asia* on less than $2500 usd per month easy. .......and ill keep $188 million LIQUID or in CD'S or something thats safe and keeps up with inflation and wait until the real estate market collapses or wait until future opportunities present themselves 😌

They included her for "diversity" reasons. Funny how they couldn't find any POC who did well with their winnings.
@animalloversfacts
big time flop, and I heard the same, she's not broke but Far from rich where she had been.
Brad Duke should be #1. Pretty obvious since he turned his winnings into a billion dollar net worth

Nice to see some positive things come to lottery winners.

They say winning the lottery is a curse sure didn't seem to be for these people
It's a curse to those who do not know how to handle this great fortune
they are the ones destined to never win with poor attitude and no wits about them to make good choices if it ever happened to them.
I’m pretty sure I remember reading that MOST lottery winners are broke just a few years later
I wish i would win the jackpot mega millions and powerball best smart years of 2024.❤💖🙏🏿👍🏾🙂🎉🎊
Its refreshing to know there are smart lottery winners out there.
I am the winner of the Mega Millions Jackpot 😊❤️❤️

the "donations" and "foundations" are well known tax loopholes, so they keep the money without too much taxation.
You show the old winners, but where are the new ones? I would like to see the winners at least for the last 5 years
I’m content with my life the way things are. I don’t think I need the headaches or responsibilities of a lot of money.
