Darren Criss Didn’t Want to Ugly Cry During Golden Globes Acceptance Speech

“Extra’s” Tanika Ray spoke with Darren Criss backstage after he won a Golden Globe for his work on “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.”
During his speech, Criss gave special thanks to his mom, "a firecracker Filipino woman" to whom he dedicated his award. He told Tanika, “It took everything for me to not ugly cry my way through that entire thing.”
