One of the most profound moments in human history, essentially the step from primitive to progressive. I often wonder how they came up with the concept. Did they see a forest fire and witness wood burning, then somehow relate friction to heat. Whatever way they did it, considering how much effort is needed to create fire, they must have been absolutely certain, that it was possible when they began.
Well ve been learned a lot from this videos. He is not giving up easily instead of trying until the purpose is done. He has been through a lot for 8 hours, but i am watching this in only about 10 minutes. Means behind 14 minutes there is a person who fought for 8 hours. Gonna show him some respect. Good job pal...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm fairly certain that's how primitive tech does it too. I think he even showed a video once, lighting a fire with an even more efficient technique, where you exert an up and down pumping motion. During the upstroke a cord ravels around the stick, and during the down it unravels, spinning the stick.
You should do a braille version of the 2x2x2 cube where you don't even need to see the cube. Use hot glue or something to create some kind of code for each color (maybe something similar to an ordinary 6-sided die) and use only your logic and sense of touch to solve it. I think it would be a good exercise in retraining your brain from picking up on the color orientations of the cube to using only your sense of touch.

✅Light A Fire
We’ve all been there; rubbing our stick for hours, alone in the woods.
Ngl but yea
Checking to see if a bear actually does sh*t in the woods.....
12:00 and that was the moment when humans discovered fire :)
I love how excited. You got when you finally did it
At 10:32

The rub stick technique is not really good,it mostly only works in dry places
Try gleeking. Flexing in the tongue which squirts saliva. Fun and a cool party trick. Good luck. Hope you pick my suggestion
Riley Fullarton I wish I could do that. I just get lucky lol
I can do it about 9/10 times. Just practice, which I hope you and mike will do
i do that on accident sometimes lol.
Ha is that what it is called. After reading your comment I remembered I learned that at primary school. Just tried it and now have to clean off my screen. Thanks for the random memory.
SO THATS WHAT ITS CALLED HAHA
The edits and cinematography in this video is insane
Only 10,000 bc kids will remember the days with no fire
One of the most profound moments in human history, essentially the step from primitive to progressive. I often wonder how they came up with the concept. Did they see a forest fire and witness wood burning, then somehow relate friction to heat. Whatever way they did it, considering how much effort is needed to create fire, they must have been absolutely certain, that it was possible when they began.
*Cuts his finger
Ah let's carry on
*Almost gets hit with tree
Ah let's carry on
Can anything stop him from making a fire
he can stop himself. and even then it'd be tough.

You should have the kindling under the notch as you spin it
Colm D'Alton ya that’s a big oof
Tinder***
Look up the mirror cube, its a shaped base cube
@@Glendragon I understand that there are shape based cubes. I would like to see a cube that is solved entirely through the sense of touch
Mike try do all the basic kendama tricks and then do an around the world (big cup, small cup, base cup)
By the way I don’t do kendama but I have done the around the world once
I just love this dudes accent
Either it's too windy or you need Wilson.
What took humans millions of years to discover, this guy created in 8 hours. Bravo.
Any time I see someone try to create fire by twisting a stick, I always just think, “You’re missing the bow there, bud.”
That primal joy when the fire bursts to life. Human spirit baybeeee
Yes! You're back! I thought ligma had affected you too! 😥
FunkyDemonCat ligma is dangerous af dude
FunkyDemonCat fuck off, ligma is not fucking funny
Joey Nichols I agree bro. You gonna go to Sock Con?

Primitive Technology's youtube channel is a much better source for survival skills. Don't get me wrong, Mike is great at a lot of things and I love his drive to learn new things, but he is by no means a survival man.
(Tip for Primitive Technology's videos: turn on closed captions because he doesn't actually speak in his videos though he is incredible at teaching survival skills)
Learn to purify water
you mean just boil it? or as in turn salt water into freshwater?
Ashencloud i really dont know, prolly like a filter that goes thru stages idk. Lemme rephrase the question, learn to get pure water from a lake of body of water of some sorts
well that's simple you just put it through a coffee filter then boil it, no learning needed
Ashencloud i mean ur right
The feeling you got when you actually created the fire was amazing. :)
