mine too. They were longer back then and introduced by the inimitable Charles Kurault. I wrote them they should put out a collection of all the Sunday Morning nature clips. There must be a lot of them. We could use some inspiring images these days.
there is NOTHING like it....lived in Sarasota FL back in the day...our property backed up to a wild field with a dead tree...big old horned owl would roost there and call to his mate every evening....SAME exact sound as this video! so beautiful!
My husband and I rescued a sick great horned owl last year. It was the coolest thing we ever did. He was majestic as in these photos. Sadly, he did not survive, but we tried and will remember it always.
Great Horned Owls as Predators Great horned owls are seriously deadly predators, and their diets consist mostly of meat. They prefer eating smaller mammals, with diverse dietary staples that include skunks, raccoons, mice, porcupines, squirrels, woodchucks, domestic cats, voles and young rabbits.
Nature at its best. I love owls.
Ever since I was a child I have always loved this segment of the show. ❤️
