i think you are the only one on RUclips who don't do videos for money, i appreciate that and your videos are awesome. I learned a lot of things.... thanks bro to share these videos with us...✌️
Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated. Yes indeed, practicing this knife defense drill is certainly helpful for your personal protection. Stay safe
I’d need to examine with you here. Which is not one thing I often do! I get pleasure from searching a put up that may make people think. Additionally, thanks for allowing me to remark!
Solid palm strikes to the face can incapacitate a knife attacker. You can also rake the eyes and follow up with devastating strikes. Stomps to the foot can distract but win't do much in a high adrenaline situation. Kick to the torso can be good but, being one one leg in a knife fight is also very risky. Here's a related video: ruclips.net/video/2h-i5kVKJqI/видео.html Take care Reinhart and stay safe.
How about kicking at that range, Nick? Too close to get power? Maybe keeps me too occupied from being able to block/trap?? I'm thinking either groin kick, forward down towards the knee or stomach kicking him away from you.
Low kicks can be a good option in a knife fight. It can pattern interrupt the thought process of the attacker, giving you an opportunity to strike up high again with solid palm strikes. Thanks Zarrell for watching and stay safe.
But the attacker right hand is still free and active as you're holding the attacker right hand with both hands? I think the attacker still have the upperhand if his left hand is fast enough to land a punch.
That's not usually recommended, but it can be a great equalizer if you have time to take it out. In a life threatening situation, you need to do whatever it takes to survive.
Thanks for your comment. Yes that could be an option. However against a knife attacker, it can indeed be a little bit risky. The shirt could get stuck somewhere jamming your arms or even cover your eyes temporarily. Stay safe
Those guys taped their knives to their hands, knew exactly where the standard knife vests were vulnerable etc. for the second London attack they had knives in each hand, taped - incredibly challenging scenario.
Hey i am a boxer and weigh 105kg. I have some pretty good knockout power. Do you think this is a good defense against a knife attacker? Like Knocking him out with a very heavy hit
Great question. Having solid punches and strikes can certainly be a great advantage in a knife attack. However, if you've never practiced knife defense prior to a real attack, it can be quite challenging to be faced with someone holding a real blade and some thoughts and techniques can go out the window. It's important to practice both striking and knife defense principles. Stay safe.
...um, the knife is a force-multiplier until you negate it either by taking the knife out of his hands or knocking him off his feet. You can sit there and block the knife 40 times, he just needs to slice you enough times and then you won't be doing much blocking. And if he sticks you once or twice, not even that.
What is more needed is way for good guys -- even if they don't know eachother -- to help eachother to do a citizen's arrest & hold for police. I see video after video with guys just standing around watching or running away. Perfect example is Vince Li Greyhound Bus stabbing attack in Canada where everyone ran off the bus leaving victim to be dismembered & cannibalized. What were they going to do, run down the highway?
Just goes to show you. Defense against a knife 🔪 attack is extremely dangerous and next to impossible. Not totally impossible but damn near impossible. Just try to fucking run or pick something up if you can or just plain and simple get the fuck out of dodge if possible.

What about an eye poke, stomps to the foot, a kick to the groin or a boot kick to the torso area?
Only the last thing might work. Sort of.

What about flying armbar?
I keep my knife in my pocket when I go to the supermarket across the street from my building.
Thanks John for sharing your point of view on this topic of self defense. Stay safe out there.

Question: do you pull ut knife on a knife attack??
That's not usually recommended, but it can be a great equalizer if you have time to take it out. In a life threatening situation, you need to do whatever it takes to survive.
Good video, btw serious question, would removing your shirt or slipping out of it once he grabs it be a good idea or is it too risky?
Thanks for your comment. Yes that could be an option. However against a knife attacker, it can indeed be a little bit risky. The shirt could get stuck somewhere jamming your arms or even cover your eyes temporarily. Stay safe
Okay Thx
Sad this came out the same day after the attack in London :(
Yes indeed, our prayers go out to the victims. Stay safe

Omg didn’t once show how to overcome leveraging arm. What a waste.
"grab and PUMP"? XD
how about "grab and STAB". it doesn't sound as suggestive, it rhymes, and it makes perfect sense.
Others you that phrase but in the business this is the "prison attack--the Sewing Machine" fluentfighting.com
