Great work, but I gotta challenge for you, could you try to do a full translation of Kurgan, like the old Finnish, if not that's fine, keep up the good work
I highly doubt it. A lot of Hulkoffs songs use ancient languages, most of these I've been able to translate. However there are some that I honestly think might just be gibberish, Kurgan is one of those. I have no idea what language it actually is, originally I thought it was some kind of old Slavic thing because it made references to the Urals, then the translators I went to told me they thought the song was about the Scyths and their burial practices. Here's you suggesting it's old Finnish, which from what I've been made aware, isn't too different from modern Finnish and thus should have been recognised if that's what it is. Actually being able to pin down and identify the language used is incredibly difficult, let alone actually getting it translated.
@@DukeofTxtspeak the only reason I'm suggesting it's some sort of old Finnish is back when comments were allowed, a guy made "lyrics" for them, but didn't if it was Slavic or Celtic, and like three people were saying that it's Finnish, which would make sense as the album is Kven, but it's just all over the place for trying to understand it, so it wouldn't surprise me if like you said it's gibberish, but I would be disappointed as it's been about 4-5 years of decoding
@@DukeofTxtspeak I would personally love more Radio Tapok songs. Even their covers of other songs are quite awesome, as they not merely translate to russian, but even adapt the lyrics and give new meaning to them.
@@galahad6189 Well I highly doubt Germanic people were not using the term "Viking" (baylurker) back then, especially since many Germanic tribes were seafaring pirates such as the Saxons. Aggression from Scandinavia actually kicks off straight after the Frankish conquest of the Saxons (& their forceful conversion).
