When I saw the Stanley mug a few years ago, I bought it excitedly, because it looked like a more rugged version of the Contigo autoseal mugs. The one handed push button feature was very attractive. But the plastic button just kept coming loose. I had to reorder several lids and it kept happening. Judging by even recent reviews, nothing has been done to improve the quality of the push-button feature. This would have easily been my go-to mug otherwise. Thought I should mention it. This mechanism should be made with as much care as the rest of the mug is.
I personally haven't had that issue, so I can't relate. I will however, mention that when I put it back together wrong after washing it, it the mechanism does not work correctly. I have bought three or four with no issues.
@@outdoorsurvivalshop8986 I envy you, my friend. If you look at Amazon, you'll see this come up time and time again for folks. There even used to be a youtube video showing you how to re-attach the button to the mechanism if it happens to you. I just can't make myself buy it again, but I'm so happy for you that you've gotten lucky with all of yours.
Really great job sharing the practicality of the Stanley over the thermos. It's these little things that people don't think of and wish they had.
Thanks man. Was looking at thoose two mugs. Will get a Stanley 👍
