I remember seeing pics of the old Moser? twin overhead cam sbc in the 70's but I believe it had reliability issues. This Merc is just awesome
This makes my Coyote 5.0 look like what my Coyote 5.0 does to my old slant six 225.
bigger bores, bigger intake valves bigger ports. The coyote has a tiny bore.
FIRSTIES..... Crazy Crate engine .... I neeeed it .
It would be cheaper to supercharge a 2-valve engine. That said, this is one of those engines that many people have dreamed of. The valves are probably at least 42mm across. Sweetness.
This engine daily driver 93 Octane .. pushing it the ad a snow boost cooler with only water injection as it has an 11.7:1 compression ratio... 8000 RPM redline 750 H.P. Naturally asp... and the sound.... no blower whine .... I would put one in my mustang and just say .. hey its a 4v engine ( they would assume a coyote )... no power adders... well.... IF I won the lottery :(
Then you shall haaaaave iiit
Love from India 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nah don't give us a sweet sound clip of the engine, play dramatic music over the car doing a burnout.
Great minds think alike ! 👍
Why are valve springs being dramatically placed in a pushrod head at the beginning but then it switches to clips of an overhead cam head?
Wish i had your eye for detail...
For the same reason they put the clip in of a car blowing massive amounts of smoke out the tailpipe on a new engine commercial!!
Mercury/ Mercruser has always used GM blocks for their sterndrives. OMC , depending on what package you got would either be Ford,(v8) or GM.(v6) they have designed the heads for DOHC in house though.
That’s 100% Mercury. Haven’t used GM in years
@@BMWorneris says they used an ls7 block
Jesus, 750 horsepower! i bet with a shorter stroke, bigger intake and bigger cams this thing could make 800 no problem!
Keep the stroke! Torque Rocks!
@@VRJensen1 not in a Miata
Okay 2 Questions tell me something is it a 428CI and second question is does it have 32 valves in total?
Why didn't GM put this in the C8 ?
That would be the perfect recipe for a SuperVette
I kind of feel the chassis also has to be extensively reinforced by Speedkore for any cars looking to adapt this heart. XD
No mention of it on their website. Some dealer?? WTF?
Whats the torque???
How that torsion?
I'm curious what the bellhousing pattern is on this engine?
LS7
Cool. (That means it'll adapt every ford trans. That don't adapt to ford)
Pst....should I tell them they spelled core wrong? Nah...their heads are Kick Ass!!! I'll let it slide.
why its not ''Not recommended for street applications'' ?
hasan alothman Marketing. (and insurance)
Belt not a chain 😮
Dimensions?
Does anybody knows the price?
if you ask for price this engine is not for you.
I love them trying to show that this is an awesome engine when it's cracked chipped plywood board instead of plywood I think you just farted all over your engine
I'm guessing its a Mopar engine and not a Ford like the name Mercury suggests?
It's based on a Chevy LS 7 engine
The name "Mercury" refers to Mercury Marine. The block is a GM LS7.
Its from mercury marine, they make boat motors (which must be able to run flat out over long distances no problem) now they make this. It has nothing to do with ford or gm its a 32 valve dohc high revving beast built to amazing standards fit and finish and quality.
@@epicphantom1720 - It starts out with a GM LS7 block!
Mercury Marine....they were supplying engines for Corvettes back in the 90's. Stillwater OK.
