You are a very caring mother. The oiling softens the cradle cap and the soft brushing loosens it from the scalp. The washing and messaging makes it seep into the scalp as you wash it away. Some mothers use the combing method but it scrapes to harshly on the baby’s sensitive scalp. It does take time to get it all off, but it will disappear eventually. When you wash the baby’s head always rinse with water out of the tap as the water in the bath may have dead skin cells in it. I hope you have a wonderful time with your baby.

The cradle cap can cause the hair to fall out but my son’s scalp was bleeding so his pediatrician gave me a rx wash

Use Aquaphor on her skin about 4 times a day and it should help.
