Thanks for the Video Jabo , I need to do this same thing to an Australian sold - SUBARU XV (4) G4X GP 2.0L FB20B DOHC-PB 16v MPFI Flat4 110kW 4dr Wagon 6sp Auto CVT AWD [01/11 - 12/17] . guessing its same process as they are almost the same as the US sold ones, Im a GM, Holden, Ford and GMC sort of guy . i do like the GMCs too .
Any tips or ideas on why I am struggling to get cv into the hub? It feels like I got it seated into transmission but I can’t seem to find the angle to get it into hub. What brand cv axle did you use? I used TRQ from parts geek because multiple people said it fit lol
Did you measure them against each other? Factory says to remove the tie rod and sway bar link to give more space. But from what I have heard just use factory axles
Just finished doing this on a 2016 Subaru crosstrek XV. You are spot on sir! I thank you for a great “how to” video! Bravo!
How long was the process
This worked thanks! 8:09
putting grease into the clip groove will help hold and center the clip so that it doesn't get damaged while installing.
Great video thanks man!

Great video
Hello does a 2015 subaru xv crosstrek use the same front axle as a 2015 crosstrek hybrid?
What kind of rims are those?
Hey what does it mean if gear oil comes out after removal?
How come there is no rust on those bolts?
Where did you get those calipers?
Are the axles the same size on both sides? Is there any chance the lift spacers caused the axle to fail?
Yes, there would be added stress on the cv axle which would lead to premature failire
I have to replace this one… the fact you hammered on it then had to replace it scares me…. You HAD to have done damage.
Nope still good
Uhhh idk man that didn’t look like the subframe…that looked like some little skid plate/shield for the rack
