Yeah, I am still tempted to grab a pair of second hand 208 GTi calipers... As these are those discs... Be curious if they use same bolt pattern... These weigh a lot!
On my first 306 2.0 XSi Phase 1, I put a set of EBC Turbo Groove Discs with Green Stuff pads. For a few weeks they were awesome and could stop the car pretty much instantly at speed. However they soon began to clog up the disc cooling divets with pad material, and then it was like having barely any brakes at all. Trying to clean the discs was very difficult and in vain, so I returned to using stock discs and pads on my other 306 cars.
Well, considering they more than twice the size... Yes. However they are part alloy so this helps. Discs too are naturally heavier. More metal however isn't always a bad thing... As there is more material to distribute the heat and stress. 🤜🐷💪
If I had a ds3... I'd just fit ds3 racing brakes tbh. These discs are the DS3 racing discs anyhow. I guess the adapters could be made of ally yeah, just more expensive to buy and have machined. Thanks for watching and commenting 😁🐷💪
Do you think it would fit under 16"? They look amazing, im looking into some solution, for now im running brembos with c5 discs... Squeals like crazy, not problem for me, but officers don't like it... Brembos are easy to sell so for the price of that i could easy buy set of these
Lixtronic Garage I wouldn't like to say tbh... It would likely depend on your wheels and offset. I too swung away from the Brembo setup due to squealing. Thanks for watching..🐷💪
Could you do me a favour and test out if 16" will clear in diameter, I think offset won't be issue in my case becaouse im running effective ofset of et5 (et25 wheels with 20mm spacer)
Andrija Andric I attempted to do this with a video of 60-0 before and after. But accuracy of the moment the pedal is pushed and the speed that the Speedo corrects and then stops dead at 0 really didn't do anything to show the comparison 🙈 Sorry. They are epic. Thanks for watching and commenting 🐷💪
Andrija Andric yes, the 206 GTi180 brakes are a fine upgrade for most 206s. Being lighter too. I have done exactly that for my wife's 206 HDi, work a treat. 🐷💪
I remember my ordeal with my gts-t calipers 3 lots of brackets before they got it right.
Glad you got there in the end

Dammm they look sick!!
They haven't thrown up yet, hopefully they'll feel better soon. 👍

EgoShredder yeah the old EBC stuff I never rated much and I dislike drilled discs very much!
Is there much of a weight difference between the original calipers and the XC90 ones?

What size wheels are you running with the new calipers. Great work.
fast_eddie see a previous episode of this build all about the wheels 😊👍🐷💪

Hi there, could the adapter be made from 15mm thick solid aluminium plate?
looks very cool I must say, could this mod also fit a Citroen DS3?

I have not got any 16" wheels to test Im afraid, if you were not far, you are welcome to come and test fit
Whats the alloy model? Veery nice kit!
RafaGmod see a previous episode especially about these alloys 😊🐷💪
What year/part no are XC90 calipers?
All MK1 XC90 calipers are the same 👌
You will compare new ones with old one?

Piggy Power i am looking for putting 283mm on my 206sw, i think that will be fine..
Piggy Power you should only measuring meters, like 120km/h to 0km/h

Andrija Andric measuring distance is a fine idea. Be good to find stock figures and then compare. 👍
dimensions of adapter for calipers?
I didn't draw them up. Essentially were hand made. Didn't take long though.
16” wheel can put on this brakes caliper or must be 17”?
Such good colour scheme..... sick of constantly seeing red calipers and daft HP claims. We all know that only orange gives extra horses....
Maxwell Wheeler orange is proven to give at least 10% torques and 25% bhps with an increase of 30% mpgs
To clever
Anton Anderson ?? Not me? 😂🙈🙊
