I think you've made a mistake with your judgement of Chandler Riggs' performance. As you note, he can do intense, emotional scenes quite well. Your error is thinking his behaviour is otherwise supposed to be "normal." It's not. In the comics they make it much clearer that Carl is probably a sociopath, possibly even a psychopath. Since he grew up in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, that's not really unexpected. His cold, distant affect is actually a _really good_ portrayal of someone with a damaged sense of empathy.
Riggs is playing a character that had to grow up way too fast in order to survive. He doesn't "act normal" because he never really had a chance to BE normal. This very issue was addressed while they were still on the farm when Rick and Lori were debating what effect the world was having on their son. When the group got to Alexandria, who he was as a person should have been clear to anyone watching the show when he tried hanging out with the other kids who had been sheltered since the beginning. He didn't fit in with them because he's not a kid anymore. The fact that he still cries his eyes out when someone close to him dies shows that he has a heart and cares for other people.
IDK think that Carl is a psychopath, because psycopaths usually kill for fun, and Carl doesn't seem to enjoy killing other people. Sure, he threatens those who try to hurt him and his family, but despite this, he's still a good person, and the episode where Negan shows him around his base proves it as Carl cries after Negan forces him to show his eye. I mean, imagine growing up in a world where living people are more dangerous and distrustful than zombies walking around. I wouldn't hesitate to shoot them either

The CGI and special effects are good sometimes but really bad other times. And the best scenes are over so quick but then the worst, most boring scenes are drawn out far longer than what they should be. Also, Is Maggie actually fucking pregant? Personally, I liked Beth and I liked Emily. If you didn't, that's fine. But don't assume I'm some naive fan thinking the show is a masterpiece.

Emily Kinney did AMAZING as Beth. Yeah, at first, we had no idea who Beth was, but Emily did something in every episode for what she got when she was first on the show. She grew more with the character and improved her preformance.
Officer Dawn's actress made her seem emotionally unstable and unpredictable and that's the best part. PTSD makes people behave abnormally in many subtle ways so Tara's behavior is not unbelievable.
There's a difference between judging the quality of someone's acting and judging the character they're playing. Beth was meant to be an innocent, carefree girl with a big heart. Her character was MEANT to be portrayed as someone who couldn't mentally harden and cope with the end of the world. I believe Kinney played that role very well. Maybe you find her character annoying, but there's a difference between quality of acting and the character. I think this list is FILLED with bias against characters in their weakest moments. Just because their character isn't supposed to be a hard-ass all the time doesn't mean they're bad at acting. The fact Beth's actress is at number 1 and Andrea is 100% missing is strange since it is clear a lot of people didn't quite agree with his Andrea turned out, whether that was due to the character or the casting, it seems to be a mix. In contrast I've seen a lot of people that really like Beth's character, especially when it is explored more, and who like her actress very much as well for her performance. Yet somehow, Beth's actress is number 1 and again, Andrea is missing entirely from the list. I'm also very puzzled by your complaints about Tara's actress. It is clear you also don't like the character very much, which may be what you're ACTUALLY trying to say because that's what you actually said. "She's a lame character, I don't like her jokes" basically. Tara as a character serves a clear purpose of inserting a bit of "I'll take it as it comes and try to see the humour in things because this shit will probably get way too heavy for me if I don't" into the show. She's a normal person, one that responds in a way many people could see themselves respond. The complaining about the actress' supposed bad acting of Tara facing deaths of loved ones is very very shallow. Not every single character will respond by wailing and screaming and crying for the 5 - 10 minutes they're on screen when a loved one dies. If you had actually looked into Tara as a character you'd know that doesn't fit her at all and that the actress, hilariously enough considering your complaints, understands that. At first she panics when people die around her like that because she was locked in an apartment with her family for a long time before the governor found them and they left with him. She hasn't exactly seen a ton of people die so panic is not a strange response considering that was the only family she had left with her. Glenn, Abraham and Denise's deaths are actually, in contrast, some of the many deaths she has seen at that point. Her response has changed, panic has turned into a quite internalised almost disbelief. Tara as a character is clearly someone that takes time to process things and isn't one to lash out when grief strikes hard, instead she internalises and, as happens in the series at the point, she sits around and seems to be feeling empty, which is a pretty good guess for someone that just lost very close friends and their lover in such a short time. That's a hard impact to take and sitting there like your world has just disappeared on you and you're trying to figure out where to go now isn't exactly a strange thing to do. My problem with this list is that it's based almost completely on "I don't actually know anything about this character because I don't like them and didn't take the time to look into what they're like so I'll say the actors are portraying them badly because they aren't doing 100% classic responses to everything". It's all about missing the depth of characters and simply dismissing people that you didn't find 100% interesting into the "bad casting" category.
SooyoungFTW If Andrea's characters went all the way like in the comics you would have loved her. I think most people are looking at it like a list of most annoying characters but it's a performance list. Dont mess with my Laurie Holden, Andrea was amazing. I love Emily Kinney but the G dropping and crying scenes couldnt get my feeling riled up. But i guess people have their own taste.

Andrea was one of my favorite character. I didn't dislike Beth (I mostly disliked the idea of her and Daryl having a lover relation and luckily they didn't, they appreciate each other more but didn't become lovers) she was a fresh and innocent character the kind which lacks a lot now among characters but I prefered Andrea over her.

As far as Tara goes, I don't think she was miscast at all, but I think theres a gigantic double standard that the male actors have to stay in shape, but the female actors just scream when people call them out for gaining weight. If Daryl suddenly gained 50 pounds, or Rick I imagine there would be a problem but the women of the cast are off-limits.
Beth was the worst and Tara is ok. I hate fat-shaming but she needs to loose some weight, it has been like 2 years since she gave birth (who gains weight in a zombie apocalypse?). It's about time.
I think it's also fair to mention that the directors may have asked for some of the choices portrayed, like the ones for Beth and Tara, they may have been told by a director to act that way.
Wow, you have literally no idea what you're talking about with any of these characters. Also, I don't care if it's fiction or not, if you seriously didn't feel sorry for Sam being traumatized by Carol and then suffering a horrible painful death then you really need to turn your heart back on. Fiction or not that's cold and the whole point of fiction is to treat these people the same way you'd treat them if they were going through this in real life. His acting was fine and it made sense for him to be the way he was given what he'd gone through. You should never actually want someone to die regardless of how annoying (Even though there's nothing valid you could find annoying about an innocent child) they are, especially when they're a good person. Dawn's acting was fine as well as she has multiple layers to her personality. That's not inconstant acting that's having a complex character. Different people handle their grief in different ways. Tara's one of the best characters in the show for being such a good person but also being so likable, relatable and funny. Like, literally all of these complaints you're making are factually wrong because you're not accounting for how people are. And, if you honestly think someone couldn't keep their goodness and innocence in the zombie apocalypse (Which was the whole point of Beth's character and story arc that you can and should resist becoming cold and heartless no matter what the situation) then you are clearly not being realistic because it's an innate Human nature to help out others in the most dire of times. The greater the suffering and more dire the situation the more likely we are to all band together to help others and Beth is the embodiment of what kind of person you can and should be if everything goes to crap.

They changed the characters from their counterparts in the comics. Andrea in the comics doesn't complain about every little thing and is actually a good shot whereas Andrea in the show always tries too hard to do some action and fails. Another example is Glenn, his character in the comics was terrible and even the writer hated him but in the show he's lovable. They killed him off in that terrible way in the comics because of how much the writer hated him, but they did it the same on the show because Steven Yeun asked them not to change it from the comics.

Loved Emily's performance as Beth. She certainly improved from where she first started. Also, The Grady Memorial arc is one of my favorite story lines in the show. It was completely made from scratch just for her.

These kind of videos can sound very stupid to a person who actually studied acting and performance. Emily Kinney, Alanna Masterson and Chandler Riggs are actually good actors, Carl may of been a little shit the first 4 seasons but he becomes very strong and adapts well in the 'New World', his performance was a little off when he was younger but he's come very far since and it shows very well how committed he is to playing Carl. Emily Kinney's character Beth adapted well to the idea of loss, after seeing her zombie mum get shot, her suicide attempt and moving to the prison after the farm was destroyed, you could tell she took responsibility over the young ones (mainly Judith), accepted it when she found out her boyfriend died, and kept Daryl on his feet after he got angry and emotional after drinking with her. Her final performance leading up to her death was Emily Kinneys best work through out the show, proving her character can be more then just a helping hand and baby sitter. Also Tara is probably the most relateable and realistic character on the show, not sure if thats cause im a lesbian and i just get her or her personality is just similar to mine, but she's quite possibly one of the best casting choices, the walking dead is such a serious show with so many serious characters, she's more down to earth with a bit of sass, and thats such a good feeling to have moments where a character you enjoy has a funny moment, like saying 'fuck you' and flipping off kids.... It's very normal amongst siblings and my guess is Tara is like that cause she was like that with her sister.... ALSO NO SHIT BABIES CAN'T ACT!!!!!

Emily Kinney did AMAZING as Beth. Yeah, at first, we had no idea who Beth was, but Emily did something in every episode for what she got when she was first on the show. She grew more with the character and improved her preformance.

There's a difference between judging the quality of someone's acting and judging the character they're playing.
Beth was meant to be an innocent, carefree girl with a big heart. Her character was MEANT to be portrayed as someone who couldn't mentally harden and cope with the end of the world. I believe Kinney played that role very well.
Maybe you find her character annoying, but there's a difference between quality of acting and the character. I think this list is FILLED with bias against characters in their weakest moments. Just because their character isn't supposed to be a hard-ass all the time doesn't mean they're bad at acting.
I do agree with the point of Tara, but at the same time, she's more in shock than devastated, that's why she seems so "meh." Different people cope different ways. This list is rubbish.

The fact Beth's actress is at number 1 and Andrea is 100% missing is strange since it is clear a lot of people didn't quite agree with his Andrea turned out, whether that was due to the character or the casting, it seems to be a mix. In contrast I've seen a lot of people that really like Beth's character, especially when it is explored more, and who like her actress very much as well for her performance. Yet somehow, Beth's actress is number 1 and again, Andrea is missing entirely from the list.
I'm also very puzzled by your complaints about Tara's actress. It is clear you also don't like the character very much, which may be what you're ACTUALLY trying to say because that's what you actually said. "She's a lame character, I don't like her jokes" basically. Tara as a character serves a clear purpose of inserting a bit of "I'll take it as it comes and try to see the humour in things because this shit will probably get way too heavy for me if I don't" into the show. She's a normal person, one that responds in a way many people could see themselves respond. The complaining about the actress' supposed bad acting of Tara facing deaths of loved ones is very very shallow. Not every single character will respond by wailing and screaming and crying for the 5 - 10 minutes they're on screen when a loved one dies. If you had actually looked into Tara as a character you'd know that doesn't fit her at all and that the actress, hilariously enough considering your complaints, understands that. At first she panics when people die around her like that because she was locked in an apartment with her family for a long time before the governor found them and they left with him. She hasn't exactly seen a ton of people die so panic is not a strange response considering that was the only family she had left with her. Glenn, Abraham and Denise's deaths are actually, in contrast, some of the many deaths she has seen at that point. Her response has changed, panic has turned into a quite internalised almost disbelief. Tara as a character is clearly someone that takes time to process things and isn't one to lash out when grief strikes hard, instead she internalises and, as happens in the series at the point, she sits around and seems to be feeling empty, which is a pretty good guess for someone that just lost very close friends and their lover in such a short time. That's a hard impact to take and sitting there like your world has just disappeared on you and you're trying to figure out where to go now isn't exactly a strange thing to do.
My problem with this list is that it's based almost completely on "I don't actually know anything about this character because I don't like them and didn't take the time to look into what they're like so I'll say the actors are portraying them badly because they aren't doing 100% classic responses to everything". It's all about missing the depth of characters and simply dismissing people that you didn't find 100% interesting into the "bad casting" category.

I think most people are looking at it like a list of most annoying characters but it's a performance list. Dont mess with my Laurie Holden, Andrea was amazing. Andrea was one of my favorite character. I didn't dislike Beth (I mostly disliked the idea of her and Daryl having a lover relation and luckily they didn't, they appreciate each other more but didn't become lovers) she was a fresh and innocent character the kind which lacks a lot now among characters but I prefered Andrea over her.

If Daryl suddenly gained 50 pounds, or Rick I imagine there would be a problem but the women of the cast are off-limits.

I think it's also fair to mention that the directors may have asked for some of the choices portrayed, like the ones for Beth and Tara, they may have been told by a director to act that way.

Also, I don't care if it's fiction or not, if you seriously didn't feel sorry for Sam being traumatized by Carol and then suffering a horrible painful death then you really need to turn your heart back on. Fiction or not that's cold and the whole point of fiction is to treat these people the same way you'd treat them if they were going through this in real life.
His acting was fine and it made sense for him to be the way he was given what he'd gone through. You should never actually want someone to die regardless of how annoying (Even though there's nothing valid you could find annoying about an innocent child) they are, especially when they're a good person.
Dawn's acting was fine as well as she has multiple layers to her personality. That's not inconstant acting that's having a complex character.
Different people handle their grief in different ways. Tara's one of the best characters in the show for being such a good person but also being so likable, relatable and funny. Like, literally all of these complaints you're making are factually wrong because you're not accounting for how people are.
And, if you honestly think someone couldn't keep their goodness and innocence in the zombie apocalypse (Which was the whole point of Beth's character and story arc that you can and should resist becoming cold and heartless no matter what the situation) then you are clearly not being realistic because it's an innate Human nature to help out others in the most dire of times.
The greater the suffering and more dire the situation the more likely we are to all band together to help others and Beth is the embodiment of what kind of person you can and should be if everything goes to crap.

They changed the characters from their counterparts in the comics. Andrea in the comics doesn't complain about every little thing and is actually a good shot whereas Andrea in the show always tries too hard to do some action and fails. Another example is Glenn, his character in the comics was terrible and even the writer hated him but in the show he's lovable. They killed him off in that terrible way in the comics because of how much the writer hated him, but they did it the same on the show because Steven Yeun asked them not to change it from the comics.

These kind of videos can sound very stupid to a person who actually studied acting and performance.
Emily Kinney, Alanna Masterson and Chandler Riggs are actually good actors, Carl may of been a little shit the first 4 seasons but he becomes very strong and adapts well in the 'New World', his performance was a little off when he was younger but he's come very far since and it shows very well how committed he is to playing Carl.
Emily Kinney's character Beth adapted well to the idea of loss, after seeing her zombie mum get shot, her suicide attempt and moving to the prison after the farm was destroyed, you could tell she took responsibility over the young ones (mainly Judith), accepted it when she found out her boyfriend died, and kept Daryl on his feet after he got angry and emotional after drinking with her. Her final performance leading up to her death was Emily Kinneys best work through out the show, proving her character can be more then just a helping hand and baby sitter.
Also Tara is probably the most relateable and realistic character on the show, not sure if thats cause im a lesbian and i just get her or her personality is just similar to mine, but she's quite possibly one of the best casting choices, the walking dead is such a serious show with so many serious characters, she's more down to earth with a bit of sass, and thats such a good feeling to have moments where a character you enjoy has a funny moment, like saying 'fuck you' and flipping off kids.... It's very normal amongst siblings and my guess is Tara is like that cause she was like that with her sister....
