Dr. Dray, as a pediatric dentist, I really appreciate you taking the time to discuss the importance of oral hygiene and featuring an oral care product! Love your channel btw 👍
Gotta buy sunscreen and maybe eve upf clothing. First time buying some for myself and my mom. She really does sun protects and hopefully the cute shirts will at least protect her upper body during summer.
I mistakenly bought an extra Vanicream Lip SPF last fall (still unopened) and am soooo glad I did since, as Dr Dry says, it seems to be discontinued. Great product!
I love that Up&Up SPF lip balm and have wondered why you have never mentioned it. Glad it is Dr.Dray approved :) I always buy it in a two pack, great value.
Thank you again Dr Dray. In this economy, reviewing house brands means ALOT! I appreciate your honest reviews and suggestions on what’s really worth spending money on. I’m saving up for that Maelove serum. 😊
Fenty was the reason I started wearing makeup. Their makeup is fantastic. However, I was never interested in using their skin care line. I don’t mind their body products but I knew I was never going to be using their skincare. Oh, the SPF lip balm is a must have for me. I’m glad to see you’re now on it too!
I always floss first, then brush, then use an interdental brush to finish. I always get more food particles out and I’m pushing the fluoride toothpaste between the teeth. Very satisfying! And thank you for the info on the Up and Up lip SPF. It’s always a struggle finding a good one.
As someone who worked in designer shoes at Nordstrom for a couple of years, it is incredibly stressful. The level of service we were expected to give was very hard to keep up with. Not to mention how exhausting it is. Running back and forth for sizes and styles while the back room is huge - two stories and larger than the actual sales floor. It’s demanding, and hard to stay on that level especially if you’re not having a great day. Also you give this level of service, go above and beyond, and sometimes spend hours with a customer just for them to wear and return their shoes since a Nordstrom’s return policy is so lax. This results in you spending those hours making nearly nothing. It’s defeating. Plus people are not nice or appreciative really. It was few and far between where I would assist someone and thought, “what a nice person.” Be nice to your sales people and don’t take advantage of a lenient return policy. You may think it’s taking from a company but it’s really taking money from regular people’s paychecks.
Commission + hourly, which hourly is low because of commission. So every time someone returns takes away for what people make everyday and how hard they work.
Obviously, you should always be nice to sales people. But mostly what I get from this is: until the US has a proper, compulsory and sufficient minimum wage (irrespective of commissions, that should be cherry on top) do not buy in shops that underpay their staff. Shaming consumer for returning their products only benefits big corporations.
@@Rechtauch I will 100% shame customers that wear things and enjoy them with full intent of returning them used. They are basically stealing. And it’s a crappy thing to do. Otherwise, yes I agree with you.
I see women shopping at Costco wearing stilettos and I'm shocked! First off that cement floor is unforgiving. Second there is no way to short cut around a huge warehouse so they're definitely putting in the steps! I like Clark sandals as they are always comfortable and my podiatrist was happy when she saw me wearing them! Great arch support especially for plantar fascitis!
I use a water pick & have for about 40 years, I wouldn’t be without one! It’s amazing what water picks get out from between your teeth, for Mr they’re a must have! Thanks for the information on the lip sunscreen! Enjoyed the video! Have a great week! 🥰
Dr. Dray! There's also a really good lip spf at Walmart. It's equate brand, but very similar to the target brand lip balm you showed! It comes in a big package with 5 tubes I think and is very inexpensive. I love it!
The reason the cusion of the eyleliner pulls out is that the other weird looking side of it is the sharpener. You can take it back to that fine point again Love it!
We love our Faves and Fails! I want you to know new clothing has been dipped in a formula called sizing that keeps it folded etc but it has chemicals in it so you might want to wash it. I used to not do it until my husband told me about this. Also don't forget to open your new CoQ 10 and then peel off that pesky plastic lol.💜💜💜
@@DrDrayzday LOL- if you just open it with the plastic on you can then take it off easily. I use to try and try and swear and swear until one day I decided to just use it with the dang stuff on there and lo and behold it came right off after it was opened..
I switched from Naturalizer to Anne Klein. These shoes are stylish and comfortable. At your suggestion I bought the Kroger dry-touch Sheer sunscreen lotion and I love it. I also got the biodegradable & cruelty free alba Botanica sheer mineral sunscreen spf 30 and it was nice too. Both work nicely under foundation. I often purchase the products you recommend, provided they are items I use. Thank you for your honest opinions, especially when we realize we don't have to break the bank to get good products.
Another month has flown by! Where does the time go?? I always enjoy the monthly faves and fails. Thanks, as always, for all you do to help us save money while getting good skin care. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! Hope you have a lovely evening. 💗
It’s so funny you brought up shoe shopping in department stores! I worked in the shoe department at Belk (a southern US department store) in college and I loved it! That was back in the early 2000’s and we were a “full service” department meaning, like you said, we sized your feet, brought shoes out of our stockroom, put the shoes on your feet if you so desired, etc. To this day, it’s still one of my favorite jobs I ever had. It was stressful at times but we were actually commissioned employees so I made a great income as a college student. So sad how things have changed now. Most belks currently have their entire inventory on the floor and most of the time there’s not an employee in the department to help you.
Hi dear Dr Dray 😊❤ here watching this video and I do like many Equate products, not all but Equate has some good reviews in many products even in Equate beauty ❤
My most recent favorite mascara is the cover girl lashblast clean mascara in the waterproof brown shade! love your videos, didn’t even realize i wasn’t subscribed until today🤦🏻♀️
Another great spf for the lips is by ultrasun. Their lipbalms have a spf 30 and spf 50 option, they have their lamellar tech in them to make them stay a bit longer but I reapply anyway out of habit and it's the only lip spf product I will use as it's the only one I have found that doesn't have a foul taste. It smells of nothing, tastes of nothing and doesn't slide around the lips and has protected my lips countless times from sunburn so it's definitely one of my all time fave spf products
tbh I hate the fact I have to shop on line I like to pick things up and look at them in person I really don't think I will ever fully feel comfortable with it but here in the uk where shoes are concerned I will always go somewhere where I can try them on and walk round in them xx
I'm so happy to see that Up&Up Lip Sunscreen on here!! I found it at the end of last summer and have been loving it! It's truly a great product! Thx Dr. D! 😍
I agree about the Target lip balm. It has been my favorite for a few years. But I'm annoyed that Target doesn't have it in the stores. Usually, it's the only thing I'm after.
The Target SPF lip balm used to be my go-to for hiking, but then I lost both tubes 😭 and my Target doesn’t seem to carry it anymore. Hopefully they’ll start stocking it again when they expand their sunscreen offerings for the summer.
I had the same conversation with my husband yesterday about shoe shopping. I personally hate it. Because I have wide feet, high arches, and plantar fasciitis in my right for for 4 years now. It’s miserable. Vionic sandals are by far the most comfortable footwear for me. Now if I could only find an athletic shoe that helps. Brooks aren’t even comfortable anymore, even with Aetrex orthotics 😢
If your teeth are like mine where your teeth are super tight together and you can barely get any floss in, I highly recommend Oral B superfloss. I have permanent retainers on my bottom teeth, so the Oral B superfloss has a rigid end you can insert into each crevice and thread it through. The rest of the string can be used on tight spaces. I don't know why, but food gets really stuck in between my teeth.
HAPPY MONDAY CUZ MY FIRST EXAM IS NOW OVER!!!!!! But I miffed because I did not get my dinner because of the bad service of the restaurant we went. I am going to just go ahead and buy some upf clothing from the shop I found on Etsy to make myself feel better. I have been meaning to buy it for ages but I finally buy it because I got super annoyed 😂😂😂
I'm a book person. I've been wanting to recommend books to you for a while (knowing that you like to read), but I can't work out your preferred book genre/s. If you interested (and can be a little specific as to your likes), I would happy to recommend some books to you. For example, I just read "The Man Who Knew Infinity" (bio on Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan) and loved it.
Just bought the sandals on your recommendation. I’m going to a wedding next month that is “dressy casual “ and these will be perfect. I absolutely cannot wear shoes that aren’t comfortable. Love the low, small heal. Also try a water pic. You will be amazed at what brushing leaves behind! My dentist is very pleased also!
You were one of my favorites from April! I discovered your channel mid-April and have been binge watching your videos! I have learned so much about skincare from your videos and have purchased some of your product recommendations that I can’t wait to use. I’ve been looking for an SPF lip balm, I’ll need to look for the lip balm on my next Target run! Thank you 💖🙏
I opt for fragrance free body washes, or a body wash with salicylic acid, however; I couldn't resist buying the new Dove mango and almond butter, it smells soo good. I need to get my hands on that spf lip balm from target. Love this videos! Ps. Wa all should comment our favorites and fails for the month too 😅
the interdental brushes can contribute to enamel damage if you're not VERY careful. these are good on occasion but not on a daily basis. trust me - my dental hygienist told me. ya still gotta floss - as gross as some people find it. oral health is really important for overall health
“Por ejemplo” okay Doctora Dray! And the target lip spf was too bitter for me and made my lips have that tingly irritated feeling. I’ve tried it more than once. I think the Coppertone lip spf 50 is way better, doesn’t taste nasty.
good to know about the target lip product! I already have a Sun Bum balm and a Banana Boat balm with spf, but it always seeps in my mouth & has a horrible chemical flavor that’s hard to get rid of! Sure hope another brand will be better!! 🤦🏽♀️
@@grespinosa Yeah it's surprisingly tricky to find a good one! I recommend you try the Coppertone one especially for when you need something water resistant
Nope, I hate that lip spf because it has coconut oil. I’m sensitive to that and it’s also comedogenic so I’m worried about it getting on the skin around my mouth because I’m acne prone. I love the Aquaphor one though! ❤
I use the interdental brushes for my eyelashes after applying mascara. It really helps the clumping. I found they're too large to fit between my teeth. I need to find really narrow ones because these are great!
The OG telescopic, I think is in the gold tube, is my new favorite after Maybelline has been for my whole life. It makes my lashes so long and perfectly separated. And I have no makeup “skillage” hahaha
Dr. Dray will you do a video on the waterpik versus flossing! I would really like to hear your opinion on the difference because I'm looking into this option, but I'd like to hear from a trusted source first. Thanks!
Love a nice lip SPF. Difficult to find and I often use Ultrasun lip SPF30 or 50. I often just apply before bed too as it’s a nice lip balm and just easy to have one handy for application even if I don’t need the spf for nighttime.

That should be a mini mechanical pencil sharpener on the other end of the detachable sponge blender of the L'Oréal eyeliner. It's better to put eyeliner pencils in the refrigerator before sharpening them. Some people sharpen their mechanical eye liner pencils by rotating & rubbing the end on an angle of a tissue. 👱♀️❤
They don't have instructions on the packaging...but they should. That's where cosmetic sales associates are helpful demonstrating products to their customers. 👱♀️❤
I've been using argirilene, q10, & PGA for plumping, but I think it's time to start switching serums in and out, and observe for a month...clearly I am overusing some of these products lol...
The OG L’Oreal Telescopic is a thin brush and I use it strictly on my bottom lashes. So yes, I use 2 mascaras, 1 for my top lash, Milani Gravity and I change it out once per month. The Telescopic I keep for 2 months.
Oh no on the Vanicream lip! You made a comment at one time that it was an option for the eye area as well. It works so well for me during my long walks. Will have to try the new suggestion as I am almost out of the vanicream. 😢
I remember finding a pack of 4 UP&UP sunscreen lip balm on clearance for $3 maybe a year ago ? 🤣 a total score, but it does make my mouth bitter and lips buzz / feel thicker? Maybe an allergic reaction ? I don’t know. It also recently expired so I ended up buying a Japanese fragrance free SPF balm ☺️
Another fav: Eucerin Daily Hydration cream spf 30. Bought it once and found it too thick, heavy as a body spf but I love it as a hand cream before I go out the door. Also noticing the backs of my hands looking better since I started doing this. I have since reordered.
I walked into the room and the last thing I heard was, “the Equate brand.” For a moment I thought, “Equate came out with a line of shoes?” 😂 (I will look in the description box for the sandal brand.) The shoe section of Target & Walmart has declined over the years. I feel like I was more excited and sometimes surprised with how cute some slip-on spring/summer shoes could be, not often, but sometimes. Thanks for recommending and reminding everyone to wear lip spfs. I put my face spf over my lips. Is it recommended to do both?
While I haven't had an actual sunburn on my lips, I have however gotten cold sores due to sun exposure. Since Vanicream's discontinuing of their lip SPF, I've been using Badger's mineral sunscreen stick. It's kind of stiff but until I find a replacement mineral formula, it will have to do. 😕 I totally agree on the L'Oreal telescopic lift mascara. It's just a messy, gimicky dud. I much prefer their original Telescopic mascara in the gold tube. It really lifts and lengthens the lashes beautifully! You should try it and let us know how it goes. 👁
I got a bad sunburn in the summer of 1993, including my lips. After a horrible subway trip the next week, during which all my blisters seemed to pop in one 20 min span and started oozing thru my clothes and on my face, I have been the Queen of SPF, at least in preventing burns. Eeeewwwwww I will never forget that day and everyone backing away from me and feeling like my whole body is on fire. I now typically buy enough sunscreen to have it handy in every situation lol...and I wear 2-4 layers haha!
@@montananerd8244 Yikes! That sounds awful. 😟 I had my worst sunburn at age 15 when my neck and chest burned so badly I had blisters. I spent the rest of that summer wearing shirts that covered everything. I remember when the blisters burst, it was so uncomfortable for days until the skin started healing over. If that's not a lesson to wear sunscreen I don't know what is.
That's why i appreciate you doctor Andrea so much because you don't only focus on skin but also you mention the great importance of oral hygiene and give us tips that are valid and can help improve our health in general (going to another more improved level) and more specifically in the oral area (aka using floss which i don't find gross and brushes (my dentist said that i can't use them because i don't have enough space between my teeth but i am guessing that brushes do come in sizes - numbers and maybe there are for me who knows 😅)). I also like good supporting shoes because as you said friction is a nasty friend that lead to many bad things making an appearance 😂 drugstores in Greece have a section for orthopedic shoes that are valid 😊 expensive but with many benefits from the fabric, the whole technology design patterns for feet support etc.
Been looking for a lip SPF myself! Thanks for this! I've been using the Aquaphor, but the squeeze tube is messy and it's too thin and no staying power. Next trip to Target, I'll pick up the lip sunscreen! Thank you for all your recommendations! Many blessings!!!💖💖💖
I personally think that automization can bring forth the ghost town -ification of a neighborhood, if you know what I mean. Obviously there is a lot of pros to automization, you cut cost and probably more efficient since you don't need to spend time training new employees, etc. But the lack of need to go to a shop will slowly but surely discourage people to go out. That would mean that non-residential areas are going to become really deserted and good luck to the people who live in non-residential areas because I used to live in those regions and buuuurhhhh

the interdental brushes can contribute to enamel damage if you're not VERY careful. these are good on occasion but not on a daily basis. trust me - my dental hygienist told me. ya still gotta floss - as gross as some people find it. oral health is really important for overall health
Another great video. Also you look so pretty today! Your whole look is fabulous 😊
Nope, I hate that lip spf because it has coconut oil. I’m sensitive to that and it’s also comedogenic so I’m worried about it getting on the skin around my mouth because I’m acne prone. I love the Aquaphor one though! ❤
Have a good day!!!
Happy Monday
I use the interdental brushes for my eyelashes after applying mascara. It really helps the clumping. I found they're too large to fit between my teeth. I need to find really narrow ones because these are great!
Try a waterpik too, very good for gums. And Dermatone mineral lip spf is good, especially if people can’t use chemical sunscreen on lips. 😊

The OG telescopic, I think is in the gold tube, is my new favorite after Maybelline has been for my whole life.
It makes my lashes so long and perfectly separated. And I have no makeup “skillage” hahaha
Thanks for the review. Happy May 🌞🏵️🌸🌼
Thanks for watching

The eye liner part that pulls out is a eyeliner sharper for the eye pencil along with a smudged 😊
CROCS sandles! so cute, casual, and comfy
Dr. Dray these Videos are my Fave!! Love Them!! Thank You! Love and Blessings!🙏💕🙏

👱♀️❤
I didn’t even think of that!
They don't have instructions on the packaging...but they should. That's where cosmetic sales associates are helpful demonstrating products to their customers.
👱♀️❤
try the ultraviolette spf 50 lip gloss! the colour “dusk” is the perfect nude
I've been using argirilene, q10, & PGA for plumping, but I think it's time to start switching serums in and out, and observe for a month...clearly I am overusing some of these products lol...
“Por ejemplo” cracks me up 😂😂😂
😊
The OG L’Oreal Telescopic is a thin brush and I use it strictly on my bottom lashes. So yes, I use 2 mascaras, 1 for my top lash, Milani Gravity and I change it out once per month. The Telescopic I keep for 2 months.
I brush before breakfast, after
each meal and
at bedtime!!
Dr. Dray, you gotta try water flosser!!! I use it in addition to string floss, so satisfying. I think ill try the picks you mentioned
I walked into the room and the last thing I heard was, “the Equate brand.” For a moment I thought, “Equate came out with a line of shoes?” 😂
(I will look in the description box for the sandal brand.) The shoe section of Target & Walmart has declined over the years. I feel like I was more excited and sometimes surprised with how cute some slip-on spring/summer shoes could be, not often, but sometimes.
Thanks for recommending and reminding everyone to wear lip spfs. I put my face spf over my lips.
Is it recommended to do both?
Walmart carries Steve Madden now
While I haven't had an actual sunburn on my lips, I have however gotten cold sores due to sun exposure.
Sun Bum has a mineral spf lip balm. It’s in a black tube. I get it from Amazon.
Always look fwd for such videos from you Dr Dray .have a great week ahead
Thanks for watching
😮 very excited about the target lip balm!!!!

do a shop with me at like a macys in the cosmetics section! like Elizabeth arden has their prevage etc
Not all stores like folks filming in their stores. The one derm I've seen recommend something from Elizabeth Arden is Skin by Dr. Azi.
Happy Monday Dr. Dray, I love up and up lip spf 50. It is very moisturizing.
Reef sandles are SO comfortable - if you're still in the market (and haven't tried these already :) )
I bought the cutest flat white sandal ($ 24.99) and a pair of espadrilles with blue stripes ($29.99) from Marshall’s.
Yes that eyeliner from L’Oréal is awesome, been using it for a long while
Can you please make a video on pearl extract (Hydrolyzed pearl) in lotions and creams. Thanks dr dray m
Btw the comments today 😅
Love the Faves and Fails videos! Thank you!! O'Keefe's lip repair SPF 35 is great and it is a nice price point!
Hi Dr. Dray!!! ❤️
Happy Monday
