I think the only thing that separates you and me on the topic of Maroon 5 is that I LOVED overexposed and V, and that I found less dumpster fire songs on Jordi than Red Pill Blues (but that may be because Red Pill Blues was longer).

At least with Overexposed you can give them the excuse that they were trying to go for something different rather than the same vibes and instrumentals they used prior.
With Jordi though, it doesn’t even sound like they tried at all. Just felt like a throwaway album to keep the name Maroon 5 relevant for 5 more years.

I still maintain that Moves Like Jagger is a great pop song, but it did signal the point where they stopped making interesting music and started chasing the trends in order to make a quick buck (even if I do like some of those hits). Jordi is the most uninspiring maroon 5 album and that says a lot considering how uninspiring red pill blues was
Say what you want about overexposed or even v at least they tried, they failed but they tried
Jordi and rpb is basically Adam just giving up on music and doing what ever it takes to get money that's it
Next month or even a week and people will forget about it
I listened to overexposed last week and other than payphone and daylight it was an enjoyable album most of the songs aged well especially lucky strike
Considering that Adam won't go back to the songs about Jane sound not after what he said about rock I hope he goes back to overexposed sound it was fun for all of it's faults
If not I really hope James and the rest of the band pull a panic at the disco and leave Adam alone I think they only stayed for the money once maroon 5 really becomes irrelevant they will leave him

It's fascinating how the comments in this video collectively agree this album sucks but Maroon 5 can get away having at least having 1 earworm song to catch the listeners' attention. I know music tastes are subjective, it's just sad that they have been boiled down to a business that scrapes its "success" with its functionalism and utilitarian practices.
Also, it's apparent that this album is exploiting the dead (right down to its features and the album title), making this the vulture album of the Adam Levine Corporation
He's better as a CEO for a music label than a musician. At least we don't have to see or listen to him~

I’ve spent the past couple of years re-doing their 2nd album to sound more inline with ‘Songs About Jane’.
I’ve slowed some of the songs down. Altered the structure and arrangements on some of them. Isolated and re-balanced and mixed some of the tracks. Added parts and completely re-did the drums on some to give them more of a groove. Overall less of an overproduced, plasticly Pop sound.
