Ken Kendrick took a blow torch to Jordan Montgomery and rightfully so but hopefully he continues to invest in this team. This team ain’t far away. Fix the pitching which plagued them all season and re-sign some of the position players and they’ll be back in contention in 2025.
Arizona had a 12-13 record in September. Had a 2-5 record in the last 7 games. Blew an 8-0 lead on September 22nd. Yep sure! Blame it on the scheduling. Lmfao!
They knew it might come down to this double header. Yet they lost five of their last seven and three of their last 5 after knowing the double header might be a factor. All they had to do was win one more game.
Arizona fans: even though we didn’t make it this year, keep supporting this team!! let’s make sure management knows we back this team so that they continue to invest in it
Lol 60$ for 2 tall cans and 4 fucking hot dogs on Saturday. My lady spent nearly the same for a bowl of BBQ nachos and two tall cans. I swear, if that money is not going to the team winning, how the fuck are The Suns (still pricey) selling things cheaper?! I don't expect much from Kendrick, but brother if you want more money, then you want a WINNING TEAM the same as me. Make smarter moves, and spend more. How much longer are you gonna be around any-fucking-way. Lol of course that DH would end split... Team hit their projected record based on our players and salary. Team also lost games they should not have, or could have won. This is not on the Mets or Braves, it's on the team. Torey deserves his flowers and does not deserve to be fired. Same for Hazen. These dudes are working with the tools they are afforded by the one who signs the damn checks.
This dude isn't the one that fucked up, man...we needed pitching and they got two dudes that were AWESOME previously that happened to turn out to be absolute dogshit. They also got us some depth with a few of the position guys, got Joc to come crush balls, which he did, etc. Overall, we did better than we did last season. They did everything right. We were THE offensive POWERHOUSE but we got absolutely wrecked by garbage pitching. (And, to at least a degree, injuries.) I wouldn't blame this dude or probably not even managers and coaches too much. Pitching staff if anyone but I don't think even THEY caused or could have fixed those that needed fixed. Really, ERod, Montgomery and Sewald got us here. Flat out, we're here because they did not only not perform, they didn't perform even up to how they HAD been performing. They flat out SUCKED and it overall ended up costing us the postseason.
I agree. Fuck him and Walker. Walker will be an MVP player in April and May, but come September, October, he goes into Witness Protection Program. Fuck those Douchebags.
This guy is complaining about the season coming down to a double header under the guise of caring about the health of the ATL and NYM players? That’s not what he cares about. He’s butt hurt because his team tanked and he had to depend on another team for his team to make the playoffs. AZ had a 7 game lead in the NLWC and blew it. Plain and simple. They played themselves right out of the post season. They also paid $50 to three pitchers who made very little contribution to the team. Montgomery was an expensive one year disaster. Lovullo plays around entirely too much with the pitching. Puk was untouchable until the last game of the year and Lovullo barely used him. On the other hand, he kept running Sewald out there for about 6 weeks too long. They also had kids from Triple A who were outplaying the Big League guys but of course because the Big League guys are getting paid, they’re going to get played. The team wasn’t managed well from the top down in the last few months. They had bags packed and planes at the ready? That would have made a whole lot more sense if they hadn’t blown games in CO and MIL. Can’t lose 5 of last 7 and expect much more. Just my .02.
Agreed completely! I think Torey Louvello made the mistake of sitting some of the non-injured players in the final couple weeks of the season (like Corbin Carroll one of the games last weekend). The past week was essentially the playoffs for this team, so what is he doing resting the team’s best?
Well now that the Arizona Diamondbacks season has finally come to an end it's time to focus on the Arizona Cardinals, yeah right ‼️ now it's time for the Phoenix Suns to take us to the promised Land ‼️👊🏽
They got screwed because this terrible commish wants to make baseball a clone of the NFL. He's completely ruined the game. The diamondbacks should absolutely have the opportunity to play a one game playoff since they are tied for the last seed. Also, imagine how awesome this would have been had they not have expanded the playoffs like idiots!! 3 teams tied for the only wild card spot! That would have been so fun!! But now we get this lack luster b.s.
@brenthonn-r9w That's true. It's the rules but what I am trying to say is that the rules are b.s. They ended in a 3 way tie. They should be given the opportunity to break that tie.
@@doesanyonehavegum327 I didn't blow anything. I'm not even a diamondbacks fan. What I'm commenting on is how major league baseball has ruined everything about the sport.
The bottom line is a great season turnout for seats sold for a winning team who finished several games above .500... however, there were 6 teams out of 15 that finished with a better record. If this took place 5, 10, or 25 years ago they wouldn't have even come close to a playoff appearance with this record. The club is going to push for a new stadium or an upgrade (both paid for with local tax dollars) and still try to sell seats to 81 games a year.
Well if you look at the Diamondbacks history we just had our two great years and now it's time to go spend the next seven at the bottom with the Rockies

Oh, BS. It was a sad calculated premeditated attempt to badmouth Montgomery to try to persuade him to opt out of his 2025 guarantee.
Fix the AC for your great fans

Overall pitching and starting pitching was the Dbacks extreme weakness.
They knew it might come down to this double header. Yet they lost five of their last seven and three of their last 5 after knowing the double header might be a factor. All they had to do was win one more game.
Ken Kendrick’s is running Montgomery out of town so he can spend money on this team is very bold and shows his commitment to winning.
You're joking.
I'd really hate to be Jordan Montgomery after this interview.
He'll be fine. got 25m to be trash
We shit the bed & MLB shit the bed with scheduling. BOTH things can be correct

That dont matter. These guys only care bout there own pockets

Ken is looking forward to Utah in 2027
Man, it's definitely time for Torey to go, let's get a new manager !
You are insane
Now Marte can have more days off !!!

Great question????
Heads need to roll
They won’t. Ken all but confirmed Lovullo and Hazen will return for the 2025 season.

At no point did the Dbacks tank, what a dumbass comment.

You blew a 8-0 lead two weekends ago. Stop making excuses.
