Wheres part 2? You said a week, hut its been 2 at this point. Im looking forward to seeing where you put 7, since its personally my favorite Resident Evil game
@Cheesecurd333 very soon I’m working on it while writing this comment. I decided I wasn’t happy with part 1 so I decided to completely rewrite and make part 2 the best I can. I barely worked on it last week though cause it was a mix of being busy and just being unmotivated but I’m almost done I just have to finish the Re village and re4 remake sections then figure out how I wanna do the spin offs. I’m aiming the finish today. Thank you for watching and being patient
@itsvolskay hey, no problem this was the first video of yours i have seen and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to watch part 2 right away. Take your time and you earned yourself a new subscriber
@Cheesecurd333 video is done. I’m gonna set it as a premier so look out for it in the next couple of hours
Actually changed my mind. Not gonna have it as a premiere. But it’ll still be up soon
@itsvolskay I watched part 2 first.
To understand what made RE4 scary when it first came out was not the survival horror atmosphere - but the sheer amount of enemies swarming you. We had never seen anything in that capacity, let alone the 1 hit kills that the chainsaws could do if they caught you off guard. The village swarm at the beginning really set the tone as to what you were in for
Exactly and the same with 5.. I remember when me and my dad played re5 for the first time and was ambushed in the village. We just looked at eachother and was like yo this is insane
All that being said, I was under the impression that while hype and intense, RE4 wasn't nearly as scary as the first 3. Maybe I'm projecting a bit, but I didnt get the impression anyone who played the games before 4 thought it was scarier than any of them except for CV at the time.
I agree. It is brought up that the availability of the tech for the tech the game wanted to produce was a big part of the terror. But the house with the guy wielding the red9 was probably the feel the rest of the scares the game really had to offer on its fear factor.
Nah it was just annoying to deal with not scary
It was never really scary tbh
I played RE4 when I was a kid on the GameCube.
I can confidently say that RE4 is both a scary game and a fun action game in one package. It’s the main reason why it’s a masterpiece.
But I would say that more often than not,the games goal isn’t to scare you, it’s to stress you out.
Everything from the movement, the enemies intentionally surrounding you, the audio and all the different enemy types are designed to make you feel stressed out more than scared.
Parts of the game definitely scared me as a kid, like the chainsaws, the entire lab area, the castle cultists and the dogs. But stress was the dominant emotion.
I love this game.
I was a teenager & RE4 definitely scared me at points. That first village fight was scary as fuck and being in the castle was so creepy!!! The constant cult whispering & how’d they just run at you from every corner was so scary!
I'm playing it for the first time and honestly it isn't scary for me, is a full action game set in a village/castle/island. The settimg would make a good horror game but the gameplay doesn't align with it, still a very fun game ngl.
@uueiejdnwkej did u play the original or the remake
@kingbones2620Both, not scary at all. 2 amazing action games in their full glory.
@uueiejdnwkej i would recommend playing the original gamecube version, early re4 def had a survival horror aspect
that thumbnail was a crime against humanity
Apart from RE1 Remake
It’s a clickbait thumbnail.
Not only RE7 in action, but in a 20 minutes video he only ranked up to RE4 because he just speaks too much.
Re7 was a full on action game towards the end tbf
@Leon_SKennnedyThe last portion of RE1 and RE2 too.
Obviously they make you use all the weapons and ammos you collected through the games.
But except these last parts, RE7, like RE1 and 2 are not action games, which is what RE4-6 are.
@IRONMUGEN oh yeah definitely, honestly I feel like most RE games become full action games towards the end
Re remake 2002 is still one of the scariest games ever
My first time playing RE4, I got a REALLY lucky shot on the first Regenerator, and thought "oh okay, that looked scary but it wasn't so bad."
That's how good luck screwed you over because I'm guessing the next time you encountered one you were so confused and scared
The code veronica slander is unnacceptable
Nah bro Code Veronica is probably the most annoying re game with a ton of annoying backtracking and enemies (like those stupid moths), but I really like a lot of the ideas of the game I'd love to see a remake of that over remaking 1 (since re1r is already perfect). Preferably a remake that doesn't cut out as much as re2&3r did.
4:02 apparently those fixed camera angles allow for more photo realistic backgrounds because it doesn't have to exist in a 3D state so you just see the one side until you change the angle. So you're basically getting a pre rendered painting of a background which helps these games hold up sooo well
Don’t tell me I’m the only one who heard Tifa’s theme from Remake during the RE2 section???😅
I was looking for this comment
@rogue8533I know! It’s crazy! Caught me off guard!
The only thing I’ve seen of complaints of RE4R is that Leon and the whole game wasn’t campy as the og was, and the campy bits what made RE4 og shine
I played RE 2 original for the first time recently through GOG and it's so much fun. I already played the remake before and loved it but it is so worth it to check out the original as well
Reading through the criticism of this video and having watched an older video of mine that is so much better, I’m starting not really not like this video it’s way too rambly and too poorly edited and rushed to make sure I upload weekly. I know I can do so much better then this so give me time with part 2. This isn’t the quality I want to have and I know I can do much better so I will. but thank you to all the people who watched and enjoyed and subscribed despite it and I’ll see you all in a minute!
Idk it was kinda fun to watch and hear your unfiltered thoughts
RES1 WAS scary when it first came out on PS1.
It's the OG that set the standards; you had to be there to understand.
1:50 even the game agrees with you telling facts
That’s actually perfect
I remember watching my dad play RE4 back in 2005-‘06 and man it would put me on edge! It was super scary so much so that to this day I flinch when I hear a chainsaw lol. That game on release was definitely on another level but definitely with players skills these days the game became more action based, but that first play through will always be horrifying
Hear me out:
The VR modes in 4,7 and 8 make the games way scarier because they’re in your face.
I know it probably doesn’t change your ranking but if anyone has the chance, try the VR modes.
I tried the VR re7 it was scary and draining i couldn’t even play it
I’m was scared as shit when I saw my cousins play the the original Resident Evil. 5 year old me was terrified.
You're dead on with the 'have to be there' syndrome. For the time RE1 was released, the era of graphics and gaming as a whole, it was ground breaking. The generic gameplay wasn't too scary to begin with, but as you progressed through the game and the settings evolved, there were some major jump scares / shocks. The controls, camera work and tight spaces all engineered the feeling of being trapped etc. Especially once Hunters infested the previously cleared rooms. RE1 remake took that baseline and made a masterpiece, though.
Solid point about Resi 4, I remember the first time I saw a regenerator as a wee lad and I turned off my PS2 immediately and didn't return to the game until a year had passed. They were terrifying at the time.
the prison level on the suffering....straight up terrifying.
You kept saying that you were rambling, but it‘s actually really fun to listen to, adds to the feeling of listening to your friend yap about their hyperfixation. 🥳🥳 can‘t wait for pt 2
I can definitely understand the "you had to be there when they came out". Nothing in this franchise scared me as a kid more than OG Re2 death animations, watching your character get eaten alive by a horde of zombies scarred me back then to the point where if I was in danger with no health items, it was an instant reset. Now as an adult I'm barely phased by anything, both Re4s, Re5, Re6, and Re7 are not scary in the slightest... Well, that hiding section in the Re6 Jake/Sherry campaign was slightly scary but other than that nothing all that scary. The scariest modern Re game was either Rev1 or Re8's baby section or Rev2 glasp sections, I can't stand glasps, easily the scariest RE enemy in the franchise to me.
RE7 was scary for the first half of the game.
The re outbreak music for re2 is crazy
Lol I got carted by creater. And I'm getting a backwards compatible ps3 (ceche01) to play outbreak and a few other games
Re4 remake was my childhood dream come true and it met every expectation I wanted DLC and mercenary mode too lord so much fun and it’s easy to mod on PC gameplay LOVELY
RE4 on your first run was tense AF. There is also the issue that the mechanics severely limited your options while playing. Like, just the fact you cant move while reloading and aiming meant you had to often take calculated risks in order to shot your enemies. Maybe sometimes you would be cornered and bet everything on a head shot stagger kick to push of everyone but then you would get a crit by some devilish miracle and the parasite would pop up making everything even worse...
Sheva isn’t even that bad, I just beat it, only thing I noticed is the game always has her go behide you, and since Chris is already super slow, it’s hard to turn around and run to get out of the way of an attack in time before getting hit, other than that she mostly came in clutch many times, it’s the remastered one, so maybe it’s just improved idk
RE3 is one of, if not THE, best one in the series. Obviously I mean that just based on my personal experience. Ppl always talk about it like its so much more action based when it is really not that drastic. The ammo is definitely thrown at you a lot more so to be fair it does encourage more action, but the mood/music, the fact that Nemesis can pop up anywhere, it just makes for such a tense experience. A few of the encounters are scripted but he can show up pretty much anywhere (for the most part), unlike the remake which is entirely scripted. One thing that always stuck with me tho.......so last year I was playing through it for what was prob like the 30-40th time and I decided to play a few of the live selections in a way I hadnt even thought of before. I dont feel like getting into what I did exactly bc this is already a long comment but Nemesis showed up in some places I had NEVER ever seen before and I thought I'd made every combination of choices possible since I first played it. I can still go back to it to this day, especially after the abortion that was the RE3 remake.
I can't agree more
Before anyone burns me at the stake for at least hinting at it being better than RE4….i say this bc i didn’t play the original RE4 until well over a decade after its release. I didn’t have the same experience many ppl did and it just didn’t stand out to me. There’s no arguing the effect it had on the industry and I don’t hate the game even a little bit. RE3 just hit a bit different with me
@whiskeybuddha1995 Believe me I know all the big fans of the series like bawksoup .sphere hunter these are one of the old ones . And guess which part was the best for them ever it was Re3 it wasn't just the best Re for them it was the best game they played in their life and they always say this in their videos there is action but the game is very scary Capcom knew how to integrate it well I think it's the scariest in the series after Re7. Re3 is really something different
@whiskeybuddha1995 RE3 is not even top 5. it definitely is more action based by evidence and for your information: nemesis is 100% scripted. you should either look into the code or if you are not familiar with programming watch some videos about it, there are pretty good ones out there. 0% RNG because he is 100% scripted.
@ we all appreciate your brilliant insight. Thank you so much, I don’t know what I’d do without ppl telling me how to experience games. I guess I’ll never enjoy the og RE3 again the same way.
Resident Evil was never scary in the same way that something like Silent Hill was. It was always more tense because of how tight resources were
RE > SH
@bepohalI never said it was worse and I agree. Just saying RE has never really been that scary
@TxiraKen depends, i'd say
Re4 is not about horror is more abaout feel rushed, tensed, overwhelmed by the enemies you are all the time in a stressful situation where you dont have any break to breath
Great video dude
i was a kid when i was introduced to re4 and it scared the hell out of me bigtime
I just played a Resident Evil game for the first time, it was Resident Evil 4 on VR, and I would say that there were times around the end when I was low on all my ammo and I had to kill the regenerators with 2 bullets and a knife, and I would say that the regenerators are creepy ass hell, but also any invisble enemies were creepy
Yea they are creepy lol
Village is the scariest solely for the dollhouse baby scene
That's only part of the game is scary is the baby
Oh wow perfect timing w this vid. I just played silent hill 2 remake like a month ago and it made me wanna go and finish re remake. Amazing game and def see ur point abt how this defined survival horror. Was explaining to my homie how yes silent hill is amazing, this game is the one that started it all so respect.
As a 12 year kid, Director's Cut scared the crap out of me until I got a hang of it. That first zombie killed me a few times while I spun around in circles, trying to figure out the controls 😅
havent even watched the video yet but you've gained a like and a sub just for making a tier alllll the way at the bottom for re6
The tank controls were horrifying as a kid.
Re7 is the scariest and honestly my fav resident evil game of all time
re7 is my least favorite.
@Slaskkotlett wheres my belt
I couldn’t get into it.
It’s ok. It’s better than 4 and 6.
regenarator still scared the shit out of me in remake
I read so much about them when I played RE4 like oh just wait till island ur gonna poop ur pants. I completed the game and I was like what were they even talking about? I still don’t get it 😂. None of the enemies on island bothered me. Tbh after village I don’t think the game was very scary more just creepy.
I bet the OG remake would have gave us strokes and PTSD fsfa
I love all the classic resident evil games my favourite sare 2 and 3
thank you so much for making this video, I've been wanting to buy a resident evil game but I wanted to make sure it was the scariest one on the market. Hoping to fill the hole silent hill 2 remake left me
I remember playing RE4 for the first time when i was 8-9 years old, and i just freak out in the first house when you have to defeat the first zombie, i almost cryed and tell to my dad to play instead. Years later i start playing only when a frend come to my house cause i was scared to play alone
Today I'm 23 and im ngl i played alone again and sometimes i took some jump scares that make me shit myself again.
It blows my mind you find RE4 scary man. I would advise you to stay away from Dead Space and Silent Hill 2 remake they would probably give you a heart attack.
@sugarray6250 bro i bought outlast and have to refund it, i was not able to pass the first checkpoint, i'm weak af to terror games
valid @gugapadilha6945
@sugarray6250 Different things scare different people. RE7 is generally regarded as the scariest game in the franchise, but it didn't faze me. I still find bits of RE4 to be unsettling though.
My case is the oposite, I only started playing horror games since I was 17 (2 years ago) so nothing besides the RE2 remake has scared me yet, not even Alan Wake 2.
6 year old me was terrified of resident evil 4😂
As someone who played RE4OG when it came out... the main (and sometimes only) complaint that a lot of people had was that it wasn't scary precisely because it turned the series from survival horror into a straight out action game. Maybe you've been hearing from some people whose nostalgia goggles have fogged up on them...
there where several complaints. basically RE4 is a fatastic game but a horrible RE itself
RE 2 was the scariest for me (more so than RE3) but holy Jesus that fight in RE4 with all the fellas in the town was fucking insane. I felt like my heart was gonna jump out of my chest
RE4 was ALWAYS and still is a Scary Gamee despite more Action
I was 8 years old when resident evil 1 came out it was scary AF lol
Re4 is terrifying in the garden maze in VR. First part to make me not go back for extra loot.
15:27 I'VE NEVER PLAYED RESIDENT EVIL 4 YOU CAN SHOOT THE HATCHETS OUT OF THE AIR? THAT'S COOL AS SHIT
@ravenger1166 you can use your knife aswell. And you can do it in re5 too
@itsvolskay that's freaking awesome
I'm so sick of hearing people say how old games are no longer worth playing. These games walked so the franchises, which you claim to love so much, could run. I think it's a really bad attitude to have and if you care even a bit about where the franchises you love came from, you owe it to yourself to experience them.
I liked the video btw and this isn't a criticism directed specifically towards you. It's just something I hear echoed quite a lot these days and it makes me sad.
Didn’t I say that in the video? My wording was shit but that’s just how I am without a script. I think I said something like it’s not worth playing unless you’re a hardcore fan. Basically what I mean is the remake is so good that it replaced the original in alot of ways.
@itsvolskayI get what you are saying, the tank controls definitely don't hold off well today and for someone who wasn't around that era, they would definitely not appreciate them. And considering Capcom have remade all 3, people today will probably play those versions. Saying that, I definitely think people need to play those original 3 as they were classics, and also re3 remake left a lot out that was in the original, and nemesis stalking you in that one was a lot more terrifying
It ain't that deep, if someone isn't interested then it doesn't matter.
A game can be ground breaking doesn't mean it holds up well and is worth the time and money today.
I think og RE4 still has the best balance of horror and action
lol, nope. RE4 has almost 0 horror in it but tension. that's not the same thing
Og RE4 has no horror at all
I agree. When I played it as a kid it just hit different. Some people just don't understand that. No it's not the scariest entry compared to the original games but the atmosphere was creepy and foreboding. Plenty of monsters that had my heart pumping out my chest. Stuff like the death scene where the fly monsters can puke acid onto you, melting your face are things I still think about. Great horror game imo. Especially for that time. Ashley was annoying AF though.
@trentdeviant2868 almost 0 horror. just because you were scared as a KID doesn't mean it's a (great) horror game. take off those biased nostalgia goggles
@bepohal They're off. I'm saying some things don't seem as scary as time goes on. That sorta of thing happens with movies for example. Not saying it's a "great" horror. I think they went too far into the action with it. I even felt that way as a kid. It was the beginning of a downhill slope, but it tried to retain its horror and I think it was a good mix. After that it just went to shit.
I got resident evil one for christmas 97. I can tell u it was the spookiest thing ever. I was 7 at the time but... still. Survival horror supreme!
FF7 track in the back-round👀
Bro forgot the re1 bosses 💀
I love every single resident evil game, and the movies.
Omg. I love 0. I forget how controversial the gameplay was
Dude you have FF7 music going through an RE scariest game review
When you were talking about RE1 I thought you were talking about the remake hahahahaha. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. That mansion creeps me the fuck out.
Re 1, 2 and 7 are real horror game, the rest are action. Don’t come at me, I enjoyed playing the rest especially re4 but they’re not scary.
I agree, except I would say that re4 remake is also pretty scary at certain parts. The remade sections with the regenerators are pretty scary
RE3 and 4 certainly have there scary parts man
Brooo re outbrrak when i played it on thebps2 scared the shit out of me haha i loved it
thank you Resident Evil for giving us Silent Hill
Man I wanna say I played re1 for the first time in like 2021 and it was the og I was pretty young but it scared me and the atmosphere was so good and it brought me into the world of survival horror
8:26 Lol hahaha
My uncle got me Resident Evil 4 back in 2005 for my birthday. I can tell you it was fucking horrifying back then 😂
Crazy our parents let us play that shit, now it’s 20 years later
Silent hill 2 was out at the time re1 remake came out and I’d say it’s scarier
RE game imagery with FF background music. The crossover we didn't knew we needed.
By the way, the og RE4 was never considered any scary.
I can confirm. Resident Evil 4 was absolutely scary as fuck when it first came out. I got it for Christmas the year it came out. I didn’t get past Salazar’s hedge maze for three years because I would get there repeatedly and bail because I couldn’t take it. Finally got through it and then did the same thing with the Verdugo. To this day, I still hear the Regenerator’s breathing in my nightmares.
Yeah the hedge maze was terrifying those damn dogs. It’s really difficult too.
4 sucked. Only 6 is worse in the main series.
@alwillk 4 was best by far
@alwillk-3/10 troll attempt. Try harder.
the old ps1 trilogy i find scary mainly because of the intense atmosphere, and the creepy music. And the diaries. Man, some of those diaries you find are really messed up
I have all of these games downloaded on Xbox and want to do a full run through. First exposure was RE4 and code Veronica/zero on GameCube and ps2. Such an amazing series and I’m going to finally play through games 6-8. I’m stoked.
19:08 pretty good imitation
The remake of the OG is indeed the best there is though
For me, the most horrifying one was the first, and even the remaster, that first zombie scene destroyed me. Then its re2 remake, at 25 that shit made me so scared i didnt want to complete it at 100%
RE2 ambience and soundtrack elevate the game to amazing heights imo, probably the most grim stuff I've heard. Not that I've heard a lot but, damn...
I remember playing the Resident Evil 1 remake on easy and it was still difficult asf.
I remember my first experience with Resident Evil was when I was about 10 and my uncle came over during the holidays and brought his Gamecube along with Resident Evil 4. He told me the game was scary as hell but really fun. My uncle left me in my room to play the game and I was absolutely terrified when I got to the village attack. I could not sleep at all that night, so I can confidently say that the game is scary.
I got introduced to resident evil with 0 as a really little kid so it held a special place in ny heart sucks to know its everyone's least favorite lol
just finished re0 tonight, not as good as re1 remake BUT i still very much enjoyed it. The game was a lot more difficult than re1 imo which made it very scary for me. The game has issues but i had a good time!
It's got good atmosphere, which is about the only positive thing I can day about it.
re0 is such a good game, it really sucks to hear it get shit on and forgotten so often
0 isn’t that bad. It’s pretty difficult. And the idea of working as a team was a god idea. But, the lack of story involving anyone from the Bravo team aside from a few cut scenes is disappointing.
Horrahh horuhhh. Horeuh. Harrrruhhh.
thumbnail is pure rage bait
The real scariest part is realizing Leon isn’t a real person and will never marry me🥺✊
What is the song playing during the beginning of the video during the resident evil 1 section?
“Meeting Rebecca” from re1. I’m pretty sure it’s the version from remake, I can’t remember but the remake and the original version are pretty similar
The FF7 music 🤣🤣
Bro the fear of seeing your first chainsaw enemy in RE4 as a kid is near unbeatable.
I remember that place where two chainsaw women jump down and you have like 5 seconds to deal with them before they jump you and I’d just cold panic nope again and again.
I was 12 when I first played RE4 and had no prior experience with shooters or horror games. I was terrified throughout pretty much the entire duration of the game lol. Especially the Regenerators! After my first encounter with one, I was so scared that I turned the game off and didn't pick it up again for a month.
Not liking CV is like not liking Krabby Patties. Its not possible. The words have never been in that sequence. You are Squidward.
Naurrrrrr the video got cut short! Love the unscripted raw type of video
RE1 was absolutely scary when it came out. We had never seen anything like it before.
I was like 3 when RE4 came out so obviously I have no idea how it was to experience it when it came out but the first time I saw it especially that game start with the cops and Leon, now that shit is scarier than anything i have seen in a RE game , it just has that aura around it , I do think that Village and especially 7 has a very similar aura at the start and 7 imo is just crazy , yeah it gets a little more action focused as the story develops but that first half of the game is scary af , but if you wanna imagine yourself in the place of Leon in RE4 begining then I think it has to be the scariest shit
So in 2000 I played RE3. I was so scared, I never finished it and anything that had Resident Evil in the title I stayed away from. I watched my brother play through RE4 about a thousand times. To me it still looked scary but over time I got over it. I never played it. Then RE5 came out and I played it with my brother many times. We loved it. Mostly for the co-op. It wasn’t scary at all. Then I got brave enough to try RE games by myself and bought a copy of RE6. It was so awful I completely wrote off RE games for years. Then I picked up RE4 remake to use on my VR2. It was so good, I went through RE Village, RE 7, RE2 Remake, RE3 Remake, even finished RE 6 and now I’m firmly a fan of RE.
Resident evil 2 recently became my second favourite horror game of all time (Only behind Eternal darkness on the gamecube, if you've not played it you definitely should it's amazing and unique) but I was one of the few people who never played the original resident evil games and let me tell you, going into Resident evil 2 remake with no preconceptions or foreknowledge it is an amazing experience. I played it on hard my first playthrough (I usually do, I just tend to enjoy games more with some challenge) and the balancing is amazing, pacing is incredible. It always seemed like I was just a few bullets away from being defenceless and yet I never felt more than a room or two away from more ammunition. The lighting is some of the best ive seen, the difficulty curve is awesome and I have yet to find a game with such a strong sense of danger around every enemy.
I will say RE0 and RE6 will be pretty dang difficult to remake. Harder than all the others. Just for obvious reasons. They will for sure have to get creative with the redsign aspects
15:17. I'm actually kind of the opposite. I played RE4 when it came out and didn't find it scary at all. But a couple of of years ago, I replayed it and felt like it was a lot creepier than I remembered
i have a lot of nostalgia for the first game . Its different enough from the remake , so both of them are kind of classics
RE1 is in my Top 5 RE Games
Because the nostalgia/memories of when I played it when it first came out. It does have scary moments.
The old games were scary back then, of course coming from today and HD graphics it will not be as scary anymore.
resident evil tooo
its funny how different opinions can be when you play a game as a kid vs adult. I remember playing RE2 when I was around 7 years old. I couldnt figure out tank controls, so I died countless times on the first frame of the game with the fire in the background and zombies swarming you. Feeling so hopeless as a 7 year old kid and seeing the blood splatter death screen was absolutely terrifying, so I wouldve put the game in survival horror for sure. It was the only piece of media to ever give me nightmares. I also never found RE4 to be scary
Resident evil 4 i played for the first time when i was 7 else 8 it was night time and i snuck downstairs and put the gamecube on it was a terrifying exspirience to a 8 year old me and is definitely a top 10 game of mine ive plated it like 30 times in the last 12 years honestly one of the best games ever
I lovees the original RE4 then came RE4 remake and i will never go back
Horror is not about fear (subjective by definition). That's the common mistake everyone makes. And it truncates the rankings.
I'm late to the discussion, but RE4 was absolutely terrifying for its time! All of my friends loved playing COD or Halo back then, so the action elements definitely hooked them in. The section with the villages attacking you, the dogs in the graveyard, and the del lago boss fight were very tense moments for my group! But my friends and I agreed that after Salazar, the game becomes way more action oriented, especially with the mission where Mike helps you clear a horde of Ganados. Yes, there were regenerators and U3 in the second half, but if you upgraded your weapons those fights were very trivial.
The limited resources early on definitely helped make the game feel like a horror game, but once you acquired enough gear, it felt like an action game. A blind first play-through felt like an amazing horror experience that you overcame! Each subsequent play-through felt more and more like an action game because you already knew enemy weaknesses, you know which guns are the best guns, and you already know which chapters were going to be the spooky chapters. I actually like that about RE4. With more knowledge and experience, enemies no longer feel scary. I can understand why Resident Evil fans would hate that, but idk, I liked overcoming my fears with knowledge.
