    One of the most disgusting parts of this is the unwavering pride of the prosecutor who refuses to even consider that he was wrong which he clearly was. Leo is innocent but the prosecutor still thinks that that eyewitness testimony from Alice is crucial while ignoring the multiple confessions from the actual murderer. The prosecutor would actually rather have an innocent man in jail then admit he was wrong which speaks to what little little man he is. The whole thing is absolutely infuriating.

    The latest epsiode of the podcast "Bone Valley" Chapter 8 Dear Mr King has the suspected killer Jeremy Scott writing fully in a letter how Michelle had offered a ride to Jeremy who was caught in rain and had no ride and he asked for help and he asked her to drive him to a location where he killed Michelle in the midst of robbing her car and money. They also suspect that he had killed a taxi driver and that case remains unsolved. Jeremy had brought up the taxi driver in his letters without being prompted. Gilbert King and Kelsi had presented the info to the police dept in charge of the taxi driver case but they dont seem to want to do anything about investigating Jeremy.
    The attorney had spoken to Jeremy Scott who confessed about killing Michelle but they refused to investigate the info and continued to believe that Leo is responsible.

Bone Valley is 10 hours of investigative reporting that even goes beyond even this case to solve another murder that Jeremy Scott committed and confessed to. Please listen and then make your conclusion.

  • @artypearson2686
    @artypearson2686 Год назад +32

    I was confused after watching the two-hour episode last night (9/23/22). The imprisoned murderer who testified to committing the crime was never questioned about the location where he killed Michelle. I heard no evidence of blood discovered in her car where he confessed to stabbing her 27 times, three of them in her back. How could the interior not be covered in blood? If he had to chase her why didn't investigators ask for more details about where she was stabbed. A detailed description from the confessed murderer would only lend credence to his testimony which was rejected by the Judge re-hearing the case for a retrial. Why was this gaping hole in his confession not pursued further for more convincing details? Did she say anything while being chased and stabbed? Also, why would she have agreed to drive him anywhere when she could have agreed to but then said she forgot to get something at the Texaco station and once inside asked the clerk to lock the door and call the Police because she was afraid for her life? The murderer said he started stabbing her after they parked at the lake after she freaked out when his knife accidentally fell out of his pocket and she started to scream and freak out? Ordinarily, every suspect for murder is interrogated for hours on end but this man is allowed to stop his confession after his simple account. The Devil (truth) is in the details they say. The time to get the minute details was when he was first recorded having made his confession from prison, or during the hearing where he admitted his guilt.

      Yeah, I'm guessing Scott had nothing to do with the killing. Of course I am not an expert and simply watched the show but I'm just a bit too skeptical of Schofield and his denials of abuse. And perhaps the neighbor was confused but I mean confused enough to invent seeing the car the night of the killing. A car Schofield supposedly didn't have that night. And the father just miraculously knowing where the body was after eyewitnesses had seen 2 men near where the body was located on the morning of the killing. And Scott's description of the crime didn't match what happened. And even the crime he was in for, a murder, didn't at all fit with Michelle's murder. The wrongfully convicted shows seem to disregard or make light of the evidence against a convict and focus most of the attention on exoneration. And Scott said he'd confess to any crime for a thousand dollars. Just a guy who may have stolen a stereo and that might have happened before or after the crime with an abandoned vehicle.

Think for just a moment. You really believe Leo's dad just knew exactly where the body was? And Eyewitnesses happened to see 2 men where the body was dumped on the morning she went missing? And all the witnesses of abuse and threats and Leo pretends he was such a nice guy. I'm sure the neighbor could have gotten some things wrong but the fact that she saw the car in the drive way the night of the disappearance is a bit much.

    the assertion that most people in prison say that they are innocent is false. where's the evidence for that crap? the opposite is true: if people maintain their innocence for a long time, especially if they do so against their best interest, it's a strong indicator that their case merits reconsideration. especially it should be considered if someone else benefitted from framing that person..... in the US, where trials are considered not to be about justice, but as a sport and key players depend on election wins for livelihood, the DA and LE need to be considered before anyone else. structurally and by stakes, the US must certainly be the most corrupt country in history.

This guy Scott was a thief who may have come on the car before or after the killing. The car had been abandoned and any thief would try to steal something. But noway he would have been so off about how the crime happened if he was the real killer. Just imagine an abandoned car on the side of the road. Also, he did commit a murder but after seeing some details about the crime, it did not match at all this type of murder. Schoflied and their lawyers lucked out and found a scapegoat who will pretty much say anything the want. Unfortunately the only thing he knew about the crime was what he was told or read about.

    This man is absolutely NOT innocent. He is a master manipulator. Right off the bat in the beginning when he claimed that he was 100% innocent his body language (especially his facial expressions) did not match with the words he spoke. There is this eerie aura that he emanates that is really off. If you have had extensive experience with abuse (emotional, physical), manipulative people then you know what I mean and you will notice the subtle signs in the way he speaks and the way he is trying really hard to keep this strained, composed posture. Throughout the video he tries to come off as someone that cared about and loved his wife, but he doesn't look like he means it, but rather like he's playing his part, because that is what he should do if he wants people to think that he is innocent. Which I understand: after 30 years of prison obviously you will do anything in your power to try to get out. If you observe his behaviour and facial expressions more closely, you can see that he is tense and nervous. His behaviour does not look natural. If I were wrongly convicted for 30 years I would not sit there behaving the way and saying the things that he did in the interview. He is really good at faking it to get the results that he wants, just like what he is doing with his new wife. I think that he has manipulated his new wife and kid to try to get him out of the prison as soon as possible by ''proving'' that he is innocent. His dad suddenly got ''a vision from God'' about the place where Michelle's body might be. This should be a clear-cut, tell-tale sign that the guy is clearly lying, if you hadn't already noticed that he was lying before.
    To the people here that are exclaiming that he is innocent: please look up (on Google) the entire report first about this case before you shout something that is plainly untrue and harmful in any way. Multiple witnesses reported that Leo was very abusive towards Michelle, emotionally as wel as physically. Someone even saw him dragging a large body. If you listen to the tape in another ABC News video, in which he was calling his buddy, he sounds terrifyingly, disturbingly infuriated, more so than stressed, like he could kill someone right there right then. Which is also what he implied in the call: ''if she is messing around, then God help her''. I would fear for my life if my husband would talk like that to whomever. This is not considered a ''normal'' level of anger whatsoever. In the report online you can read that he was abusive and that they had a very tumultuous marriage with a lot of problems. You can read that whatever he said in the report doesn't correspond with whatever he is saying in this interview.
    Yes, there are real innocent people out there that have been wrongly convicted, but in this case there is too much evidence against him that simply does not support his alleged ''innocence''. Also, this was not a case in which there was a lot of doubt. The court was very quickly very certain that Leo was guilty because there was plenty of evidence to prove that he killed Michelle (not that hard if you also interrogate someone for hours on end, besides having sufficient evidence). The supposedly ''real'' killer Jeremy Scott confessed that he would admit to any murder in exchange for money. If you are already sentenced to life imprisonment then it is not that difficult to admit to more crimes, even if you didn't do it, as long as the reward that you get in exchange for it is good enough. I would not take his words very seriously, which is why the court ruled that his account is very incredible and not valid.
    It might be that he is trying to be a different person now and perhaps he even might have remorse but does a remorseful person really still pretend that he is innocent? I don't think so. I sincerely hope that people will not be blinded by his manipulative behaviour and that he wilI never get the parole that he doesn't deserve.
    Be aware, there is more to it than meets the eye. He is a master manipulator.

      @@tabou9856 I think he may have just been stealing the stereo. I don’t know when, if it was when he saw an abandoned car or not. One thing though, his hand prints did not seem to match up with the actual killing. The finger prints show he didn’t have gloves on. If he had committed the murder, he’d have had bloody pints all over the car. Also, Scott confessed and Leo’s side claims that this clears him but really Scott wasn’t the most credible person as he was in prison on a life sentence and was wanting to know what they would give him if he confessed. And then the problem with his confession itself. He had no clue how the crime happened. He thought she was bludgeoned to death inside the car but there would have been tons of blood everywhere. And then Leo saying he could have blacked out and killer her himself didn’t help and his father knowing exactly where the body was located didn’t help and eyewitnesses seeing 2 men right where the body was dumped on the morning of the murder. And then Leo pretending he was the ideal husband when eyewitnesses say he beat his wife brutally before this and had threaten to kill her. We dismiss what the neighbor had to say but it was pretty strong testimony. And listen to that 911 call again. Leo is spinning a story with that one and contradicts himself on it.
