You can collect a ton of artifacts and sell them with Get to Work or create your own Selvadoradian museum. It definitely was a fully thought out GP that integrated well with other packs. I wish they did the same with Strangerville - like having Conspiracy Theorist as a career and unlocking secrets in other worlds to uncover hidden locations. I think because Batuu wasn't received well, they stopped doing more adventure packs. It's a shame because they are actually fun and I'd love to have another one.
I think the thing is people really want more of the old Sims spinoffs.. like Sims 2 Castaway (console version) was absolutely amazing. It was like Jungle Adventure but far better. Then there were games like Urbz Sims in the City that was just a lot of fun. Both games were so fun because they were Sims but with more of an adventure twist. It wasn't just you staring at the home lot all day. Like Castaway is basically constantly "rags to riches" because you're having to gather to survive and thrive.
@@Eventide215 So true! Sims 4 needs a spinoff. Sims 2 had Castaway, Life Stories, and Pet Stories, and Sim 3 had Medieval. I think it would be a great addition to make things more interesting.
@@SyntheticGoth Yeah "rags to riches" challenges are the most commonly done thing on Sims 4 because people want that sense of survival and building up from nothing. I’ve told many people that I think I’m the only person who consistently sends her sims to Granite Falls and Selvadora to camp during the summer or have a fun Latin inspired spring break or honeymoon trip
I used to before we could holiday anywhere we wanted cause vacations are great for story. But now I never use Granite Falls, but I play the archeology gameplay a lot.
Personally, I love the pack. The clothes could have been less 2D but build and buy is beyond excellent and I find the archaeologist gameplay fun and exciting. It's the only holiday world I use.
My favorite thing to do with this pack is to make an archaeologist who owns a small store where they sell all the things they find! The rules are that they can't just replace items after they're sold, all stock has to be replaced manually by what they find in Selvadorada, haha. It's super fun. I also allow them to make money off of maxing out the archaeology skill

I actually found that being a mermaid sim while exploring the jungle can be pretty fun. Especially since the waterfall in a bottle fills their hydration need. And in certain temple layouts, there are swimming sections.
This is one of my favorite packs. It's also the first one I bought so I have major nostalgia for it, plus it's some much needed representation. And I think it's far more repayable than strangerville due to the locked areas each trip that change and the many artifacts. Plus you can learn the skills for it if you have high school years which makes me remember that it exists. This is the one world I wish wasn't vacation only
If you can use mods there is a mod out there that makes the vacation world's livable! I wish EA would just update the old vacation worlds to be livable like the newer ones.
I like the pack a lot. I try to use a lot the magical aspects of the game and I can't stress enough how cool certain treasures you find are. You can find very powerful Relics that can cast a Blessing or Curse depending on the Head, Base, and Gem combo. There's blessings of Wealth, New Relationships, Skeleton Assistant, Skelton Transformation There's Curse of the Ancients, Food Mirage, Personal Raincloud, Greedy Needs, and my favorite being Marked for Death

I was so happy to see this expansion pack. World Adventures is one of my favorite packs of all time (more new gameplay in that pack than a lot of others - so many are just glorified stuff packs) and was shocked when just about every RUclips Simmer at that time rated it as one of their least favorites. I loved the ruin exploration & being able to disarm traps. This is the closest they've come to replicating that pack.

I absolutely ADORE Jungle Adventure gameplay! I'm currently working on a degree in archaeology in real life, so when I heard about the archaeology skill and gameplay in Sims I just knew I had to try it for myself. I have so much fun with it! The jungle chance encounters are super fun, and I love puzzling through the temples too. Plus you can make some really good money with the archaeology skill! On top of that, the build/buy and CAS of this pack are really great too. I definitely get how the pack might not be for everyone, but it's honestly one of my favorite game packs offered by Sims.
I am now imagining a video where Stanley just abducts random people to live with him so he can get the max amount of money from the can, while getting super mad whenever someone autonomously does the dishes in the sink
@@aylaandersen when I started my current legacy challenge, at first I didn't have a single sink, so I could use that trash can to maximum, and then I had no trash can because one of my sims was obsessed with recycling 😂
Yes, but it takes a long time, especially with only a single Sim as, when you drag trash in it, it pays §10 per Sim or pet in the family. A flat §10 when any Sim from the family put things in it and zero if some random Sim use it.
The thing I wish for this pack is being able to see more of the things the Sims encounter here, instead of so many rabbit holes. I mean how cool would it have been to actually see the Jaguar that she encountered? I've never been able to get to the temple. I guess I will have to revisit this myself. I like the pack, just wish it wasn't mostly rabbit holes.
I'm now feeling really nostalgic about the Sims 3 World Adventures. After a couple of trips my saves would always crash and I never got to finish exploring every lot.
I love Jungle Adventure. Once you get to level 9 of the archeology skill, they send you stuff to authenticate and those items provide 2-4K every time. At that point, I just have my Sim quit their job and authenticate everything they send me. You can make money so quickly. Also, those berries that mess with your emotions are a great way to cause death by laughter when given to a sim with a lot of mood buffs.

There's a cool thing when you finish the aspiration, you got send artifacts to examine and then you send it back and earn money. i love my sims being an archeologist!
You're wrong, though. Finishing the aspiration makes your sim happier in museums. Having 9th level in archeology makes it so you're sent things to examine and make good money from it
LOVE this pack!! One of my favorite details about it that is often overlooked is that if you have C&D, stray dogs will spawn around the village area. My two sims honeymooned there and they ended up adopting and bringing home a dog that I named Indy (after Indiana Jones).
It pairs well with Realm of Magic, because your sims can use spells to fix their needs and then you don't have to worry about having food or sleeping bags or showers. lol You still need to worry about all the traps and bugs and stuff though.
I LOVE Jungle Adventure!! I have at least one archaeologist in every sims family I make! I think it’s great you’re able to take artifacts home and then work on them from home, amazing if you also want family gameplay
The furniture that comes with that pack is amongst my favorites in the game. I'm obsessed with the kitchen counters, the round table, the beds and couch ❤
I replayed jungle adventure pretty recently, it's so good, you can learn a new dance, and if you spend your time in the baths you can set up a whole campsite there and make your own excavation sites which stay for ages. Then you just pop out when the temple opens. I'd then head home and have a full time job just identifying all the treasure you dug up.
my only complaint with the pack is that you can’t live in Selvadorada. I’m hispanic and would absolutely love to see more worlds with a latin american theme that i can actually live in. Like I absolutely love the architecture and building style of jungle adventure and it would be great to see other south american influences especially in a livable world
I just started my Legacy family, and I made my main gal an archeologist. I REALLY love Jungle Adventure, and the fact that Discover University has a class that can raise the skill just makes it more fun.
I've found that playing Jungle Adventure as a mermaid is super clutch (if you sim starts off with no money) cuz you wont need a tent, you can just sleep in the pools of water you find.
I have this one sim that was very adventurous in her young adult stage. She travelled with her bf to Selvadorada, climbed Mt.Komorebi (my first expedition 🥺), spend some time in Sulani. And I really like Jungle Adventures, I think it's a great representation of tropical world and the fact you can learn about culture and how to dance salsa (I guess??) is such a nice detail! I need to come back to this location. Now this sim is an immortal spellcaster and I think she's a great-great-grandmother to my current sim. Well, the one I'm playing rn is a vampire so I guess I won't travel with her too much XD
i am so biased, this is one of my favorite packs because I am El Salvadorian-American and all of the Salvadorada things like food and clothing where so reminiscent to me I couldn't help but buy it day one!
its so funny how the video she did about jungle adventure a few years ago with stanley poped up in my recommendations last week😂 - stanley got bitten by the spiders too - he end up dying from electrocution - simsie was sad because she wanted to see him die from potion - never got to the last temple or pass first day hahahah
Last time I played this pack was years ago, watching this video made me remember how fun this pack is. Sure, it doesn't have that much replayability (although at least it is more varied than Strangerville in my opinion), but at least it is pretty well made, as the gameplay, world and everything in this pack is overall pretty fun.
i bought this pack for my gf who is an anthropology major, she loves all the cool anth related features and she also has some strong opinions on all the inaccuracies lol. for us, this pack was a must have❤
I LOVE Jungle Adventure! I played a NSB spin-off where my career was freelance archaeologist (not an actual career). Once you hit lvl 7 or 8 in archeology, the geo-council will start sending you artifacts to authenticate. You can earn up to 4k simloeons each. The totems can also be combined in different ways and all have special abilities. The Curse of Pancakes Mirage is my favorite.
Why have I NEVER seen any Jungle Adventure let's plays?! Honestly I don't play the Sims anymore I just like watching people like Kayla play, and I've never watched anyone play Jungle Adventure and now it's making me want to watch a playthrough of it, 'cause it actually looks really cool. Truthfully those kinds of packs are better to watch other people play it vs yourself, 'cause once you experience it once, like Kayla said, it can get repetitive. So YES! Please do a rags to riches or some kind of more Jungle Adventure play!
I still got that one pending. IN the sims 3 I only had one expansion pack would've loved to play the adventures (not to drag the expansion pack cos let's be honest it was great and especially compared to the sims 4...)
i think i have NEVER finished all of the "missions" of world adventures. but i remember doing that stuff like catching 5 super rare red bugs in china maaany times lol ! then i went to france and i couldn't keep going on because i needed the magical axe locked on the chinese sky temple... and wine making.... and mummies...... truly had way too much fun
and also it was really "re-playable" because you didn't have to be like adventure seeking archaeologist lara croft, you could just be good in fitness and they would send a opportunity to go to china train martial arts! or maybe you were a great chef and they called you to go to france and learn their crepes recipes and also wine-making! it was just so nice... in sims 4 that content would be like chopped in 5 packs and 8 kits and it would be worse lol
Jungle Adventure is my favorite game pack. It might get slightly repetitive, but it has enough variation to still make it fun. And it has lots of places to explore which makes you have to come back again and again. Plus the build mode o think is my favorite of all the build modes.
Selvadorada not being a residential world is my biggest gripe with the pack. The gameplay is fun and the build/buy items are some of my favorites, but it makes no sense as a vacation-only world. It makes sense for Granite Falls because living at a campground full time is rare, but Selvadorada should be a residential world with a couple vacation lots, like Henford on Bagley or Mount Komorembi.
I own this pack and also really enjoy the gameplay! I don’t do it very often but when I do it’s really fun! Although the archaeology stuff can get a bit repetitive if you get home from a long holiday and have looooads of artefacts to uncover
This is one of my favorite packs. Sometimes I choose to have a sim be an archaeologist as their career cause I believe when you max it out they can get sent artifacts at home to authenticate and send back for money. Now I want to play again so a sim can make enough for a big mansion or something lol maybe with an in home museum of artifacts lol I did have a self sim descendant doing that somewhat recently.
I absolutely love jungle adventure and use it regularly in my gameplay. Since it's so helpful to have a lot of high skills when you're actually exploring, I usually have sims just go to "party" vacation there when they're young and in uni, or pretend foreign exchange in highschool or uni, stuff like that. Then when they're middle aged, or even elder sometimes (basically I wait until the kids have moved out, usually), I'll have them fully immerse in the experience. I like the challenge of having them complete both aspirations. Plus it's a fun way for me to have something kind of assigned to older sims in my game, since so far there isn't very much specifically for them in the game other than what we the players decide to assign to them. Anyway, that's how I like to use it, sorry for being long winded! 😅
"oh, you can like fitness! you won't have that much time to like fitness, but I guess you can enjoy it in your final days here" absolutely killed me 😂😭 love this pack so much
The first time I played with this pack I didn’t realize everything could kill you and got super lucky so the second time I came back, I accidentally killed my sim bc he was set on fire with the fireflies except the game glitched so it took him like 3 days in game to die!!! And it was raining the whole time too, and I brought his wife in thinking that might help the death stop glitching. It was super tragic. It was during the Disney Princess challenge. If I remember correctly, it was Tiana’s father, so it was fitting.
Whenever I've gone to the temple in this there's random children and toddlers around. Like who is leaving their children into the jungle??? I like the pack but I was expecting it to be more similar with the Sims 3 world adventures. I loved that one and tried to go through every temple in that. I feel like most of my Sims 3 play was done with it.
I actually did this aspiration recently when my legacy sim married a sim that had it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it all these years later! Fun to watch you have similar reactions!
I've played sims all my life but haven't gotten into Sims 4 really, so I live through the youtubers, and I wasn't really in the lets play era of the beginning of sims 4 either, so i had literally never seen any of trhe gameplay from jungle adventure, I appreciate that you did the video!
This makes me actually want to buy jungle adventure, I just never got it because I didn’t know much about the pack nor did I think it would be interesting, but see how the pack works that’s really cool and makes me want to try it.
This is my go to pack for a calm, one Sim game play for just adventuring and earning simoleons. I go through the jungle then authenticate the artifacts then sell on a selling table. I make money at a steady pace and can build up my home from there. I also often create a museum and display artifacts and other collectables when using this pack. Note: poisoning can be cured four ways: wait for it to go away or kill you; use a computer for an antidote; pray at the statue of the lady in the courtyard; or give ancient bone dust to a local for the antidote. You can get bone dust in the temple, but you can also buy it off the secret market at 5th Selvadoradian Culture skill from a local. Also, with the 5th level in culture, you can learn to Rhumba Sim (dance) buy other secret wares, buy secret menu foods, and prevent lightning bug attacks without deterrents or healing supplies.
The best way I found to do this is with a werewolf sim cause they can pee anywhere, sleep on the ground, and when they get hungry, they can hunt for meat
Did you know you can live in selvadorada? (If you have paranormal stuffs-pack) Choose a lot and set the lot-type to haunted house. Boom! You can live here now!
The aspirations are so OP. I think the archaeology one makes you a relic expert so people will send artifacts for you to authenticate then send back. I had a Sim make a fortune off that as you can easily get $2,000-4,000 per artifact.
Jungle adventure was the first pack I ever bought, and it's definitely one of my favorites 😍 My biggest wish for this pack, is that it would be possible to live in this world! I'm so sad Selvadorada only is a vacation world 😟 And also Granite Falls... People do live in jungles and forests 😅🏞️
From what I have seen, this has to be the best DLC in the Sims 4. I saw very few bugs, if any? I was making dinner while watching, so I might have missed something. But I agree with lilsimsie, beautiful artwork and everything seems to work. I believe that I have this DLC, but I haven't played it yet. I'm going to try it myself. I do disagree with lilsimsie about replay ability. It reminds me of Lara Croft or Indiana Jones. For me? If it is not riddled with the aggravating bugs that are in the rest of the game? I would play it over and over.
I don't recommend this one for the same reason you said - re-playability. I had a legacy heir years ago that was heavily into archeology and took 2 vacations to the jungle, Russell and I had a ton of fun. However, that's the last time I've been because it simply doesn't fit into everyday gameplay. I do have plans to go back in the near future though, I really want to play though it for my Let's Play and I got lucky with a sim who has randomized traits that fit the idea of doing this pretty well.
When I first started playing the sims 4 I saw the pack and didn’t really think much of it and then over the years it has started growing on me and I think the next time the packs go on sale I’m going to get it hopefully!
As a latin, i still hate the fact that you can't live in the jungle. It's just ridiculous and kinda offensive to me, like i literally live in a place really similar to selva dorada, so, yeah. I'm really hoping they refresh that pack and add that.
I was going to get this one but bought Outdoor Retreat instead - I think I'd enjoy this though! The architecture and landscaping does indeed look great!
It's my favorite side quests, routine breaking pack to have, I do the collecting almost in every savefile! Yes, it is reapiting itself at some point, but as a collector I do it throughout generations so it's not like try to collect all at once 🎉
I will agree that it is super fun and a great way to make a ton of money. That being said, it is gameplay that you have to seek out yourself. If you have Jungle Adventure and High School Years, your teens will gain some archaeology skill in class but it is mostly developed with the game pack options
the werewolf perks make these excursions soooo much easier. not having any of the essentials is fine when your sim can pee anywhere, sleep on the floor, lick themselves clean, and hunt for meat
I just did this lol 😂. I took a sleeping bag and a cooler then used the bushes everywhere for bathroom. It helps to get up your fitness, charisma, and logic skills
I use Jungle Adventure in almost all my playthroughs, its so easy to get money super quick :D If I wanna speedrun I save up 1000-2000 simoleans, rent the cheapest house for 1 or 2 days, go buy at least one of whatevers available at the market (Machetes and the Guzma Flowers are preferrable) and then go speedrun the jungle its super easy and easily gets you up at least 10k usually
jungle adventure is too underrated, i earned a million simoleons in rags to riches with it

I'm excited to see jungle adventure stuff. I've never really seen anyone play with it 😂
It pairs well with Realm of Magic, because your sims can use spells to fix their needs and then you don't have to worry about having food or sleeping bags or showers. lol You still need to worry about all the traps and bugs and stuff though.
This was especially true when it was Sims 3 World Adventures. Boy, was it useful to go through the dungeons with a witch.
Jungle Adventure is probably one of the most complete and deep game pack. My legacy family is one of archeologists.
Well, the one I'm playing rn is a vampire so I guess I won't travel with her too much XD
i am so biased, this is one of my favorite packs because I am El Salvadorian-American and all of the Salvadorada things like food and clothing where so reminiscent to me I couldn't help but buy it day one!
its so funny how the video she did about jungle adventure a few years ago with stanley poped up in my recommendations last week😂
- stanley got bitten by the spiders too
- he end up dying from electrocution
- simsie was sad because she wanted to see him die from potion
- never got to the last temple or pass first day hahahah
Last time I played this pack was years ago, watching this video made me remember how fun this pack is. Sure, it doesn't have that much replayability (although at least it is more varied than Strangerville in my opinion), but at least it is pretty well made, as the gameplay, world and everything in this pack is overall pretty fun.
What?! Jungle adventure is my favorite game pack!!! Almost every family goes there for vacation!!
i bought this pack for my gf who is an anthropology major, she loves all the cool anth related features and she also has some strong opinions on all the inaccuracies lol. for us, this pack was a must have❤
I LOVE Jungle Adventure!
Yes! I love sending my sims to Selvadorada for their honeymoons! I should try to unlock all the paths!❤
“This is a lot better than sleeping in a bush” *immediately collapses onto grass*
Jungle adventures always makes me want to play the sims 3 world adventures. Such a better game experience!
Poor Stanley new Rags to riches jungle style😂
i'd love to see more old packs get replayed because i definitely get in a rut with what i use and i forget how much is out there to do
what's a day without a simsie video? 😍
Fr fr
a blessing
nothing
A lonely and sad day
@@wig.snatcher with or without
I literally started playing world adventures today and I have to say they did pretty good with this pack tbh. World Adventures is still amazing
I still got that one pending. IN the sims 3 I only had one expansion pack would've loved to play the adventures
(not to drag the expansion pack cos let's be honest it was great and especially compared to the sims 4...)
world adventures is such a great pack!
@@reaverkai its such a fun pack and theres so much to do!!
i think i have NEVER finished all of the "missions" of world adventures. but i remember doing that stuff like catching 5 super rare red bugs in china maaany times lol ! then i went to france and i couldn't keep going on because i needed the magical axe locked on the chinese sky temple... and wine making.... and mummies...... truly had way too much fun
and also it was really "re-playable" because you didn't have to be like adventure seeking archaeologist lara croft, you could just be good in fitness and they would send a opportunity to go to china train martial arts! or maybe you were a great chef and they called you to go to france and learn their crepes recipes and also wine-making! it was just so nice... in sims 4 that content would be like chopped in 5 packs and 8 kits and it would be worse lol
Jungle Adventure is my favorite game pack. It might get slightly repetitive, but it has enough variation to still make it fun. And it has lots of places to explore which makes you have to come back again and again. Plus the build mode o think is my favorite of all the build modes.
If we were allowed to live in Selvadorada I’d buy this pack in a heartbeat. The jungle and build/buy are gorgeous
I've recently started a JA let's play and it's going swell! My sim got engaged to a skeleton💀😂 This one of my fav packs
I LOVE JUNGLE ADVENTURE!! The build items are right up my alley
I LOVE jungle adventures. There’s so much to do. I have fun replaying it, too. I miss the Sims 3 adventures pack, though.
About time we have a Latin American residential world. I would love to have that Brazilian beach town from that survey from years ago!
I was disappointed that jungle adventure isn’t just a regular world. It would be cool to live there.
"oh, you can like fitness! you won't have that much time to like fitness, but I guess you can enjoy it in your final days here" absolutely killed me 😂😭 love this pack so much
This video is gonna come in bandy so much!! When they just gave us jungle adventure for free in a sale!!
If you get poisoned, you can also get an antidote for free by talking with the locals and getting bone dust
I love how she just left her tent behind at base camp and slept in bushes
You should check out the Relics from the pack, because some of those curses are very fun to mess around with
Curse of the Pancakes Mirage!
I would love to see a build using jungle adventure and the Moroccan oasis kit :)
I actually did this aspiration recently when my legacy sim married a sim that had it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it all these years later! Fun to watch you have similar reactions!
Jungle Adventures is so much better than when it first came out. Combined with all the new features from later packs, it's an amazing adventure.
I loved watching Kayla play this pack! And as if she read my mind, would love to see the Star Wars pack being played again 🤭
Yess, please do more videos like this. Now I really want to play in the jungle with my sims ❤️
Just appreciate how much you put into your vids! Love the vids Kayla!
Did you know you can live in selvadorada? (If you have paranormal stuffs-pack)
Choose a lot and set the lot-type to haunted house. Boom! You can live here now!
Ooh that is cool!
The aspirations are so OP. I think the archaeology one makes you a relic expert so people will send artifacts for you to authenticate then send back. I had a Sim make a fortune off that as you can easily get $2,000-4,000 per artifact.
I usually bring a tent and a cooler from outdoor adventures to selvadorada. I think you can also use items from snowy escape for food and stuff.
I bought jungle adventure exclusively for the tiles that came with it. I've never even been to the world because I always forget about it
I love vacations and loved jungle adventure... you made me want to do it abain
I like playing this pack. I usually do both of the aspirations at the same time, because they work well together.
When I start a new family, I always send my sim backwards and forwards to selvadora doing the temples and collecting artifacts to get money
I absolutely love this pack! I wish you could live there though rather than just vacation, I think its a really pretty world
I've never done the gameplay, but I've used the CAS and Build/Buy items. Now that I've seen more on it, I really want to give it go!
I have recently played this again and its sooo good. At the market you can click the vendors and actually buy tents and stuff :)
When I first started playing the sims 4 I saw the pack and didn’t really think much of it and then over the years it has started growing on me and I think the next time the packs go on sale I’m going to get it hopefully!
The build stuff in this pack is honestly great!😄
As a latin, i still hate the fact that you can't live in the jungle.
We love you Kayla! Thank you for uploading everyday! ❤
If you have Jungle Adventure and High School Years, your teens will gain some archaeology skill in class but it is mostly developed with the game pack options
i love jungle adventure it’s one of my favourites. i play it all the time
Can you please make a video where you rank all death types?
the werewolf perks make these excursions soooo much easier. not having any of the essentials is fine when your sim can pee anywhere, sleep on the floor, lick themselves clean, and hunt for meat
I just did this lol 😂. I took a sleeping bag and a cooler then used the bushes everywhere for bathroom. It helps to get up your fitness, charisma, and logic skills
I wish it wasn't just a vacation world, I always forget about it because it's in that tab but it's actually a really nice place to build.
my favorite part of this pack is the floor tiles, i use them in my builds all the time!!
I use Jungle Adventure in almost all my playthroughs, its so easy to get money super quick :D
If I wanna speedrun I save up 1000-2000 simoleans, rent the cheapest house for 1 or 2 days, go buy at least one of whatevers available at the market (Machetes and the Guzma Flowers are preferrable) and then go speedrun the jungle
its super easy and easily gets you up at least 10k usually
