- Опубликовано: 23 авг 2024
- I was going to convert to LED full front next year after i do the 2016 Front nose conversion, however, a company contacted me and asked if i was willing to do an install and review video so i said sure why not!! I dont like to sugar coat things so this will be my honest review and the process of the full install and what i had to do to install and upgrade to fit things or improve where needed. Hope you guys enjoyed this vid, sorry it was a bit longer than usual, but i felt like it had to be this long to be a honest review and to compare from different angles and such.
Here are the LED products i installed in the video.

I use that company. JDM Astars are the best in my opinion. 4 years and still going strong 💪🏾
I put the Auxbeam LEDs and the Harley Davidson conversion on my 01 F 150 and I love it. Awesome video Nick
Thx bro
Very good to have LEDs as there allow you to have a better view on dark winter nights. thank you for sharing that with us nick!
Thx, will adjust them little higher and should be better
Good video. I used Sea-Light LEDs which required no cutting of the dust ring to install. By the way, it's "JD Masters", not "JDM Asters"...
I have an 02 7.3 with HIDs. I bought LEDs for my wife's Sequoia and now I want to change out my HIDs for LEDs. The LEDs I put in her car came with a second set of orange o-rings which were slightly larger. I had the same issue as you with her fog lights and just needed to change the o-rings to the larger ones and solved the slop issue
My guy told me to add another o ring
The difference is vast .. well done
Thx, I really love them actually, sucks I had to mod to fit, but I mode everything anyways haha
There is actually a Dorman part made for the F150 and Expedition that is the Headlight lock ring that we have in the Super Duty except it's shorter in length and fits perfectly on these aftermarket headlights and is a factory fit into the actual headlight housing. I was going to cut my original one from my F250 like you but then I stumbled upon the F150 part and it worked like a charm.
That’s good to know, to late now lol
Do you have that part number?
Alot brighter from the inside too
My opinion!
I do not plan to pay that much money for something that does not really look good when they are installed in the truck, they charge too much money, for a product with all those problems when putting them in the truck, they do not look good at all, When I buy something, I like it to look good, and easy to install! Only my Opinion !!
I eliminated the 2 fog lights, and installed a 32-inch LED bar and it looks and shines much better than the factories.
Yea the price is a bit much, trying to work with the company, but the light actually looks good and bright
@@FixItNick
The truck looks great with everything you did to the truck!
I know that with all the experience that you have and the ideas to do things, everything is much easier! Good luck in the future!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

hi P C...
try use 2 HID headlights with diamond white
If I was you I would make sure they sent you the correct bulbs and if they say they did I would send them back because it is a very bad design. For the money you paid the should come with everything to fit proper and function without doing all that modification it is possible they might be a fire hazard also. Good luck Nick.
Working with the company to figure it out and see what we can do
How do your high beams look? I just installed a set of 9007 LED conversion bulbs in my Excursion, almost identical to yours, and the pattern is hot garbage. The low beams have a dark spot right in the middle of each headlamp's pattern, and when I go to high beam, that spot becomes enormous. The low beams are about 80% brighter than the high beams. I've tried rotating the bulb to see if I can fix it, but nothing seems to work. Fairly disappointed considering how much they cost and that they were specifically recommended by a large LED conversion retailer.
U have hid in projectors for fogs and headlights and brights in my 2005 ford f350
Great results for you Nick, because you are a "Fix It" guy, but me I am like a lot of people out there, I want it to be plug and play, an exact fit without the shake and wobble and without having to do anything but unplug one and plug in the new one. They do look good on the truck however.
I agree with you, I’m working with the company, I do wish it was just plug and play.
you'll have to deal with this with every led headlight conversion. might as well go with hid or halogen
I love watching your videos, maybe install projector headlights with the led bulbs, I didn’t have to do any mods to mine and it’s a Vw golf
Thx man, I was going to do 2016 front nose conversion soon
FixItNick oh ya, that would look good!
Truck looks good
Thx appreciate it
Feel sorry for on coming traffic. I like them for me but I hate them on others peoples vehicles. When someone with these extra bright or Driving/Fog light come at me with them on I just turn my brights on so I can see the road TOO! If they turn their brights on I just lower the visor. Don't think I'll be getting these for the head lights but for the added driving lights I probably will. I'll just mod them to make them fit better. Thanks for sharing. Nick Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
I actually still love these lights for like a year now nobody ever flashed their beams at me
My truck is 1 year newer but basically the same set up. I'm looking for a LED upgrade. Its 2 years after you posted this. Any recommendations on current available products. I would like the LED set up because I'm putting in a construction light bar flasher in my back window inside my cab. Looking for that product as well.
Thanks and Aloha,
Bob
I currently still have these same lights, still work good no complaints, minus the slight modifications I had to make in this video
Where did you get the tailgate light
The locking tabs on my hids are just like stock bulb tabs leds are not always great for there tab locks
I was thinking for the fog light putting some tape around them to tighten them up
Yea I’ll see what I can do, would have to remove fog housings
Lot brighter facing the feild
Thx, I’m gonna get them adjusted and will try doing comparison vs stock in a flat parking lot at night
How much whole package ?
Will these bulbs work in the Harley headlights? I’ve got them on my 2000 f250
Thanks for sharing Nick. Looks great
Thx bro, I think after adjust them would be even better
FixItNick yes sir
Really good video man thanks.
Thanks appreciate it
New sub here. Previous vids I saw that your only wearing sandals. This is first vid I saw you in shoes! From Cali, huh?
Obviously they sent you some wrong bulbs for ur tryck
I’m currently in touch with the company will see what we figure out
@TheElectricnoob Too many of these aftermarket LED bulb companies sell stuff that doesn't fit because they just didn't try it out in the beginning. I've considered going to LED's but 99.9% are no brighter than the OEM. They have a cooler kelvin (glow) but the brightness is the same. It's really a scam.
Did you have to change the lightbulbs after touching them with your fingers?
Nope never
👍
The turn signal and side marker bulbs you should of got the white because white is brighter in a amber housing then amber bulb in an amber housing
Actually really like the amber inside amber, they look more vivid and brighter than stock, I think I’ll do rear bulbs in red
@@FixItNick red bulbs in red housing isnt bright at all it will be very dim and they wont last as long as white led
Nice truck
Thx appreciate it
If u changed ur headlights to clear probley get better light performance then those stock crap they give u. Or do a headlight conversion to 05-07
Yea true, I’ll do 2016 nose
did the fog lights shake when the truck was sitting and idling?
No, it bounces a little when hitting bumps, I think the beat way to fix it is use 2 o rings instead of 1 I’ll have to try it
Good video
Tbh doesn’t seem like a good headlight company, not gonna spend that much money on headlights you have to modify to work
I’m in touch with the company to see why they are like that and if any solutions
Double up the o ring on your fog lights
Good idea, I’ll pull the fogs and see if that will work well
The bounce in the bulbs while your driving is going to suck
Good thing I fixed it lol
Auxbeam seems like much better an no modification needed to install them
Did your fog lights not work?
They did
REPLACEMENT MUST NOT BE WOBBLY AND UNEVEN. IT MUST BE MEETING THE DESIGN SPECIFICATION OF THE ORIGINAL FACTORY PARTS TO BE IN DEMAND AND POPULAR.
It's a detent ball
Looking good to bad you had to modify them to fit, best part is you didn’t have to spend a dime on them.
Yes sir, I’d be mad if I paid for them, supposedly they want to send me different set to test, so we see
Did they send you the new bulbs? If so, how are they? Do the bulbs get hot? Did the heat damage the plastic lens?
Just subbed and I never sub lol, great build and channel btw!
Wow thx, I hope to keep you entertained lol
Wrong model fog light bulb you were sent what looks like a 9006 and not a 9145/H10
Donno I can’t confirm
FixItNick all you do is look at the locking tabs on the bulb both of those models of bulbs I mentioned are essentially the same just the tabs are slightly changed enough to maybe cause those issues
Anybody looking to buy LED headlights you can buy them on Amazon for silly cheap. Most of these lights originate from the same place and are silly cheap. Do yourself the favor and don't overpay for the same junk.
These work really well, cheaper ones have problems too, I’m working with LED company see what we can do
Truck-Lite ))))))))
Mictuning brand led bulbs are of much higher quality, and I 3 trucks an have purchased them for high an low beam on all 3 trucks an are tight no vibration an are bright as f....
Thx bro Have any vids by chance?
@@FixItNick in may have to take one an email it to you!
Gets rid of the 9007 all together
Did you check out them head lights bud?
Use these bulbs they are ssd o stupid bright I've had state police whip around an pull me over, sir why are you driving with your high beams on lol reason those o never adjusted the headlight so everyone prob wants to bust them out with a hammer that rides in front of me or passing me even semis trucks go ballistic at night if I'm behind them, some situations have been down right scary an I'm considering down grading lol but man it'll light up a 8 lane highway like a Houston Runway!
That's alot of Hassle and problems for some led bulbs
Ya I agree lol,
Hassle......
'
two HID headlights with diamond white is the best...
not LED headlights
Yes but these trucks didn’t have that option
No instructions?
They are kinda universal, they are not to F350 specific
so this company needs to go back an redesign their stuff before trying to get endorsements, cause no way in hell I would put up with that shit. There are other products on the market today that you don't have to fuck around with like this.
Yea I agree, they sent them to review so I reviewed them while trying to fix the issue. Supposedly they want to send me different set to try so we see
It’s not a very good design.
Yes true but I’m still using them so that’s a plus
Piece of shit bulbs for old junk cars. In EU such shit is not even allowed to install in reflective headlamps
The brightness is actually really good and bright, its the fit I wasn’t happy with
