After using precocking, I really can't imagine going without. Even ssg builds are amazingly snappy with it. On a side note, the one thing I love about the leviathan over other fets, is with precock on, fire one shot and hold the trigger down. This will decompress the sprint without having to pull out the phone to change programming
Could i suggest a AEP upgrade series?😁 would be great content and something i feel doesn't get much attention,at least upgrading and modifying and the knowledge of them. Love the content and tips👍
Depending on your spring quality, leaving your replica in storage with precocking all the way up doesn't typically weaken the spring. I had an ASG M115 with a TITAN and precocking set to maximum for a year and never took it off. The build only dropped from 1.5 to 1.35j, but returned to 1.5j after a full cleaning and relube.
I have in an arp9 and it actually was pretty amazing. Aols high torque motor, aols 14 tooth piston, aols piston head, shs high speed gears, I got the bucking and inner barrel from Amazon also. Only thing I left stock was the etu and spring.
Also, on the Jefftron Leviathan, you can make several files for each MOSFET, and I just use a second file to decompress the spring when I put it away, and then on boot up I just load up my gaming file. Takes 30 seconds
The BBs just falling out of the barrel reminds me of a second hand TM AUG that I'd bought, expecting a nice solid gun. Turns out the internals had been absolutely bubba'd, and it was cycling 1.5x or so with every trigger pull on semi, resulting in that phenomenon at random. It was firing at 250 FPS, which jumped to 500 when I fixed the air seal. I can't count the number of cursed things wrong with the gun on both hands. A few examples would be gears shimmed so tight I could barely move them, with the bevel gear barely touching the pinion. Grit in the cylinder, bucking installed at an angle, no C-clip, entirely missing mock bolt, not even a trigger spring.
Glad you made a video on this because it was only the other day i was explaining this in long form on reddit. My typing fingers thankyou now i can just send people to this vid.
If you want really precise precock, its really good to have a bevel gear with as many arl catch points as possible. Like you wouldn't want to run a high stress precock on a g&p bevel that has 2 catch points. Shs have 6 points. Some others out there have 8. Something to consider. If only lonex made their spiral bevel with 8 points. Would be the ultimate bevel gear.
Will precocking cause any other significant stress due to holding the spring partially back? I.e. stress on gears/bearings, piston teeth, tappet plate/spring, etc?
Yes it stresses the gearbox, doesn't stress it anymore than firing. It does however put more load onto your anti reversal latch, and when you pull the trigger, motor and gears
Correct, I prefer to use the profiles that you get with the expert software upgrade. I have profile 1 set to basic safe/semi/full, profile 2 safe/binary/ burst & full, and profile 3 safe/semi with precocking/full. Unfortunately my outdoor field considers binary to be full auto so I end up using precocking for faster firing. But like TheAirsoftTech I usually forget to turn it off until I have to open the gearbox up again. 😁
Yeah pre-cocking is nice! Just like FPS games the less lag you have between trigger pull and BB shooting the better! Got a BTC Chimera v2 years ago and boy is that trigger crisp! Ill bet it could calculate 'auto' by the amperage curve being pulled by the motor. Last few games I played a number of years ago guys were trying it and it was funny to hear something about 'wow that trigger is so much faster, how'd you do that?'.
My G&G honey badger does the same thing on an 11.1. I know the motor overspins but it saves me putting a more advanced MOSFET in so I'll leave it as is. The trigger response is awesome
Question: My gun manufacturer says "Do not store with pre-cocking engaged". how do I disable it? (I have a Gate Titan Basic) I also have not messed with any pre-cocking, just taken out of the box? anything helps.
I’m curious about the gate warfet’s Trigger controlled pre-cocking if the point of pre cocking is to get a faster trigger response then is it faster for 2x the trigger pulls per one shot with pre cocking?
Too bad you cant adjust precocking on DSG with GateTitan. Just on or off. I hear you could on older versions though. The current Titan software is on/off - High.
I got a good question does the precocking stay precocked when the battery is out or does it precock once the battery is in? Aster gate. I ask this because when I plug my battery in it litterally makes a noise (other than the beeping) that sounds like it's being moved into precock position. I also am asking this because like...how tf do u take the gun apart when it's pre cocked without it EXPLODING 😮
Binary option is with optical mosfets and essentially tells your gearbox to shoot when trigger is pulled and when it is released...great for double tapping or quick burst😁
Hello. Thanks a bunch for the info. I have a possible noob question but I'll risk it. I noticed I cannot hear your motor at all. That squelch is one of the things I dislike most about aeg's. How did you achieve this?

I did not know that, a lot better than what I'm doing!
You could set up a second profile without pre cocking on and enable profile switching on a titan to avoid needing to connect to the phone as well.
With a titan you can hold the trigger and put the selector to safety to turn precocking off, I believe
@@bighitsfootage I just looked that up, the video I saw was that but FA instead of safety. But either way thats awesome! Thanks for that tip!
You just sold me on a Leviathan.
The best airsoft Tech channel there is!
thank you for explaining everything so clearly!
So glad to see you're still posting. You've been incredibly helpful as I've been getting back into airsoft. Keep up the great work!
IMO pre cocking is the single best modification for trigger response

a whole year left in max precock is crazy
Question: Would you be interested in building a gearbox with just Amazon internal parts for funsies? could be fun and informative!
I have in an arp9 and it actually was pretty amazing. Aols high torque motor, aols 14 tooth piston, aols piston head, shs high speed gears, I got the bucking and inner barrel from Amazon also. Only thing I left stock was the etu and spring.
Good tip for preserving the spring!
Also, on the Jefftron Leviathan, you can make several files for each MOSFET, and I just use a second file to decompress the spring when I put it away, and then on boot up I just load up my gaming file. Takes 30 seconds
You know you can just press the trigger for 5sec and decompress your spring just like that on any leviathan, super useful

Great advice. Very informative. Thanks

Love the demonstration. Makes it more educational for beginner techs. Keep it up. 🤙

Yes it stresses the gearbox, doesn't stress it anymore than firing. It does however put more load onto your anti reversal latch, and when you pull the trigger, motor and gears
You can turn pre-cocking off/ with the fire selector with the aster, pretty sure you can on the titan too 👍

Great channel, great content, thx for sharing knowledge
Some boards have the option to release precocking after shooting without a mag inserted, or if the trigger is held after the shot in semi auto
advanced readying of phallic member
13:1 gears, high speed motor, and short stroked 4 teeth with a leviathan is at 6 milliseconds works perfectly in my M4 with a high power 11.1v

My g&g 550 pre cocks on its own with an 11.1, lol. I've gotten used to it and hope it still does it when I upgrade the spring.
My G&G honey badger does the same thing on an 11.1. I know the motor overspins but it saves me putting a more advanced MOSFET in so I'll leave it as is. The trigger response is awesome

its kinda amazing that precocking is kinda common nowadays
and wow dude XD mechanical precock that was a disaster for me
I’m curious about the gate warfet’s Trigger controlled pre-cocking if the point of pre cocking is to get a faster trigger response then is it faster for 2x the trigger pulls per one shot with pre cocking?
Can pre clocking for semi, ruin auto mode?
Ahoy there y'all! Hey has anyone noticed any difference in chronograph readings before and after pre-cocking?
Hello, what hapens if u runn aktive break with preecocking ?

Hey, nice video!
Would you say that pre-cocking would decrease FPS, if the piston set to stop, say at the middle of the port of a ported cylinder?
Nice vid
How is the power draw compared to not pre-cocking and what spec of lipo do you use for these kind of builds?
Hey can do how Bianry work like how it function in the gearbox I m really interested of how it works

I think why u cant hear the gears is because of the pre cocking. I was surprised too, as I activated pre cocking on my gun. It do sound like a gbb.
Hey my question is do you have to modify your piston teeth in order for the piston to release correctly.
Depends on where the last tooth is on your sector gear right before its releases the plunger
What is the reason that they drill the holes into the plastic piston tube? (Red piece- I don’t know the technical name for it)
That would be the piston and the holes is to make it lighter, this helps (a bit) with the cycling rate
Called a piston. And usualy it's just for weight. Lighter piston will be a bit more responsive, and easier to move.
Does precocking slow rps
I don't think so, it just moves the "beginning and end" of one cycle (auto or semi)
Can't say 100 though I'm not a pro
Doesn't change anything on rps but increases trigger response
I feel like pre-cocking isn't sure the additional stress on the gearbox. Keeping everything compressed can't be good..
hated it at 38 seconds...
Why not just use "PC" to shorten it
