good evening, it would also be interesting to see the filling .. does the drain screw have to be changed with a drain screw in order to let the air out of the circuit?

Hi Raffael thanks for the comment. You do not drain and then refill. as you are sucking the old fluid out at the bottom you continually replace the fluid in the reservoir so at the end you will have a full line of fluid and a full reservoir. I accidentally ran mine dry in the video while filming so you can see the air in the line. If this happens you need to repeat the process. Once clean fluid is coming out the bottom, you just remove the suction pump and put the grub screw back in then put the cap back on the top reservoir. Thanks for the comment and Happy to answer any other questions if you have them.

Just did as you say and it seems to be true, all the bubbles went to vacuum pump line 💪

    Hi,
Where did you get your bleeding kit as mine doesn’t have that adapter

Hi. Interesting video. Question: How much Clutch fluid do you need to change the clutch fluid? It isn't mentioned in my technical manual.

      Hi Berkein,
I presume you mean the clutch slave cylinder?
it is probably less than 80ml, a very small amount.
I bought a small bottle and have enough to do it again.
I found that putting a zip tie around the clutch and leaving it overnight was the best way to bleed it properly.
A very simple job, but it can take a very long time to allow all of the very small air bubbles to make their way up….. give yourself lots of time to allow it to bleed.
They don’t have a bleed nipple like a brake, they have a weep hole so put some rags around the hole as it just weeps out.
If you are talking about the engine oil, from memory it was about 3 - 4 litres…. I am doing an oil change this weekend to a heavier weight oil so I will take note and get back to you. 👍🏻

Dear friend, I just bought a K1200S. The clutch uses OIL like an automatic transmission? The clutch oil level can be measured in any place? Thanks..

So we can use any mineral.oil not only the V10 from Bmw ? Is hard for me to find it here so I'm wondering if I pour some mineral oil.from the bicycle store will make it work

Hi, it should be a motorcycle rated mineral oil, motorex do a good one. I think one from the bicycle store would work but I would not recommend it myself.

Great video mate and thanks for sharing. I might drop a link to your channel if you don’t mind, in one of my upcoming videos. I am doing a couple of videos on changing the gearbox and clutch on the K1200s to the later model K1300s and was going to cover this topic also. 🏍🇦🇺👍🏻 “nuffys builds”
