There’s monsters black drums in the area , I don’t see to much people going after . The inshore bay at 0:06 sec is one the best places , they like to hang out close to the boats . My last one was about 20 pounds. Big Tarpons on Afternoons they like live shrimp or jig . Unfortunately I don’t live in Hollywood anymore, was a lot of fun and good memories with my kayak.
If your still in south florida or next time you come down you gotta try to hit keystone pointe canals around tnt marina. I work in the area and early mornings youll see schools of all 20+ lbs jacks and mid day i see 40-80 lbs tarpons constantly plenty of keeper snappers as well.
WOW its crazy to think that i was out there fishing that same spot/ same day/ same time! but more on the pond side and i caught only a 20 inch jack but still fun. the wind was definitely blowing me around on open water lol! but man i wouldve totally loved to run into you! love your stuff keep going! also yeah the spot is tough to catch but when you catch em its big there is no middle sized fish in there just small or really big! lol
Hollywood's intracoastal waters ways for fishing is sketchy. If you wannna hook up to some jack crevell, toss a plug or anything basically at this Resturant called LeTubb. Its right off hollywood Blvd. Ive seen huge snook and sheepshead directly across towards the residential near Johnson St. Ive seen giant snook being caught off of Sterling Rd. 1st bridge years ago. Well 30 yrs. ago to be exact. 😂
My neck of the woods. Unfortunately not alot of good fishing around these parts. That salt pond (west lake) is heavily fished and there's just to much traffic in the intercoastal. Smart move targeting the snappers plenty of those around.
My son and I watch your vids all the time. We liked the Hollywood vid as we fish there often. Haven't caught much besides some little mangroves. Have seen a few snook, but never able to catch them.
That was a dog snapper (min. 12 inches, distinguished by white blotch on cheek and red fins) that you caught in the salt pond towards the end of the video.
Me and my buddies fished in Hollywood and Dania beach through the canals near the airport. We used to catch so many Jacks we used to call it New Jack City 😂. Also the iguanas around there are larger than humans
Dont feel bad man. Ive tried so many times to fish that inshore area and never really find a bite except what you basically caught. I think that part of the ICW is heavily polluted by the shipping yards and yachts that nothing can really grow there except the few junk fish. I did find giant tarpon one night out there but they wouldn’t bite my mullet. After that I gave up on that area.
Bro your in the offshore kayak fishing mecca. Your so close to Dania beach. Launch from the ocean side. Sailfish, grouper, wahoo, kings, Mahi mutton all just a mile or 2 off the beach..
Hi Rich, it's Brian from Nantucket, another amazing video, I really enjoy the drone footage, nice work. I'm going to give it a shot with my son's this weekend, there's a prize for the first non holdover striper on the island, wish us luck! Your videos definitely help me thru the long winters!, take care, Brian Macort.
Have you ever fished the Everglades down highway 41 from Naples to Miami? Down past big Cypress there are tons of beautiful peacock bass in the canals.
Been a sub forever man and I’m glad you’re channel has started to really blow up, your views have been crushing it lately, you’ve always put the work in to deserve it
I live in Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood area. The fishing sucks in the area unless it’s late September for the Mullet run. West Lake doesn’t have much to offer. Are you heading to the keys? I know you usually go in April.
Hi Rich, great channel! Question for you what’s the name of the shoes you use jetti and kayak fish. Looking for a good pair of quick drying fishing shoes. Thanks in advance!
I got a kick out of him always saying, “I meant to get out earlier, however….” and then give whatever excuse. He almost never get out as early as he plans. He’s obviously a late nighter.
Grab the line with your right hand pointer finger, switch rod over to your right hand from the left hand, engage reel with your left hand, cast with right hand, switch entire rod to left hand, close reel with left hand, start reeling with right hand 🥴. I’ve never seen so much wasted movement in my life just to cast with the reel handle on the wrong side. Just switch the reel handle over if you cast with your right hand bud

Hey any other spots around Hollywood area because I’m fishing there but get skunked everytime

Boy it’s so nice to see one of you videos post. Speaking for myself helps my day a lot. Thanks.

I go fishing in my kayak all the time in these areas !!!This is awesome!! Thanks for exploring my backyard for fishing! You are the coolest!
You should try other side on the Dania beach pier side big tuna just a few feet from pier area.
@@B1234-w4q they’re probably Bonita there’s no tuna right off the beach in florida
@@Anthony-rv5io look up kayak fishing at Dania Beach. Some people catch black fin tuna

Right in my backyard!! Wish I knew, would have bought you a beer!
Any merch coming? Would love to see some decals or sun wear shirts??
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Great video! I like the drone exploration before you hit it.
Used to go to Hollywood sportatorium in the seventies for all the rock concerts it's miles out in the middle of nowhere in the Everglades
Very cool with lots of different fish! I think that last one was another mangrove
Nice variety of catches! I'm going to have to launch down there soon.
You should go to key west sometime it’s super fun
Great video Rich! Keep up the great work! Fish on 🎣

Should of went for sheepshead!! At the bridge and those pilings!!
That looked like a shark in the water that followed your lure to the kayak at 19:39

What's with the weird "structures" sitting on top of the rocks at regular intervals? (See 4:31) Any idea?
Hi Rich, great channel! Question for you what’s the name of the shoes you use jetti and kayak fish. Looking for a good pair of quick drying fishing shoes. Thanks in advance!
That last fish is a dog snapper, the white triangle near the eye is the giveaway.
That looked like a shark. When you heading back up north?
Another nice video. Enjoyed the multi-species business. What kind of cooler were you using. Cheers! 👍
You should have put some of those small snappers live on the hook as bait and one of those huge snook would have demolished it.
go to Olleta Park and Haulovert Park now !
Ever fish EG Simmons park in Apollo beach?
Daina cut off canal is stacked with snook
Love Hollywood beach FL
The yellowtail that you caught could also be a jack
Wow amazing
What is the best way to start kayak fishing I have always fished from shore and just got a kayak so it’s all new to me
You always get such awesome intro footage. Looks amazing. Thanks for all the work making these videos.
Damn I didn’t realize heir of Carthage was an awesome total war player AND someone who enjoys fishing
@@eliwisor9758 man I love fishing and Rich has my favorite fishing videos.
Yea, this looked about right. We never catch anything good in Hollywood. Going out to biscayne bay tomorrow if you want to roll with us.
Nice video bro.
You should go into fort lauderdale like behind the swimming hall of fame.
Like the Bubba blade..
Great video but makes me appreciate the northeast more and more , Florida just isn’t what it’s cracked up to be
You fish in interesting places
My neck of the woods. I’ll send you some spots that you can explore
Catch a few more of those mangrove snappers and you'll have a fish stick!

Fly fishing “salt pond” most productive.

Last fish was a Dog Snapper.
You missed a perfect slice of watermelon!!
