This is probably the best piano rendition of Black I've ever heard. I was iffy when you actually used the percussion from the original at the start but once it morphed into the bassline it ended up sounding pretty good. You really nailed the way the Midnight Crew sample blends with the melody too, which I appreciate.

Well yes, but actually no... (Spoilers... probably) In essence, the ring gives Jack the power of the Black Queen, that being to change/“Prototype” with the sprites. Whereas Dio becoming a vampire from the mask grants him a set of specific powers (although viewers are shown these slowly throughout all of part 1, as Dio comes to realize them slowly. Had Dio known about using vampire eye lasers he could’ve destroyed Jonathan in the fight in the Joestar Mansion). At least this is my understanding of how the Stone Mask works, as most experienced vampires have abilities like eye lasers (Dio, Straizo). Even with Kars the super powered Stone Mask gave him a ton of new powers instantly (like the shapeshifting with the wings and the fish). Basically (to my knowledge), the Stone Mask is instant super powers, the Ring is super powers that evolve and change as the game progresses to become uniquely challenging to all players of the game. I hope that makes enough sense lol, and any JoJo’s and/or Homestuck super fans feel free to correct me. Essay over lmao.
