Barca should go for him this season after selling a few players. He has a release clause of 50M and athletic has no say on that. It will only go up if they renew his contract overnight.

I’m not set on Nico Williams…I do see his speed and directness on the offensive but I also clearly remember how he’d toss in crosses without precision and how he’d lose the ball a lot against us
Also he does not score many goals, he actually scores far too few goals which makes him no better than Ferran and Raphina. Of all the midfielders mentioned except the pivots Khepren Thuram would be a good buy and will fit the Barca style.
Lads he’s playing for Bilbao, look at how he performed against Croatia, a top international team on the biggest stage and once surrounded by players of his quality he shined. Yes he makes mistakes sometimes but as Barcelona fans we have to be able to recognize talent, Vini is a great example that guy couldn’t even pass the ball properly and now look at him, Madrid kept faith in him and he pulled through. We seem to be less inclined to put faith in players since we have had our hearts destroyed so many times over the years but we have no choice.

Kimmich and Merino could be negotiated 55-60 mil together, then sell Inigo and Ferran for 40 mil together...not a bad deal and squad would be massively improved.

Kimmich would not be an ideal RB in the Barca system. He is not fast enough for the box-to-box transitions.

Christensen is actually a CB naturally, he's makeshift on DM. We need a Top DM more than we need a RB.
Secondly, Kimmich is good at DM (natural position) than RB. We need a natural RB
Williams is a priority, Onana is a profile we desperately need, he can be what Kessie should have been, but we should sell dejong now if we want to make these things happen

For me I would spend the money on the German midfielder and Kimmich if we could. I've noticed that Barca never seem to remember we always play against low block, and Nico needs space to run into, he's gonna suffer in our games. Chiesa from Juventus has a lesser amount for his price tag and is rapid and able to breakdown low block teams. Plus shooting from outside the box and is a work horse, plus he's forcing a move this summer. So we will be able to play ball. Plus he can play straight across the top 3

2. Onana: Is he a pivot? No? Pass.
3. Stiller: Not at $50 are-you-kidding-me million.

6. Nico: We've got a fair amount of left wingers at the moment. I think it depends on how Fati and Torres look in pre-season.

I still feel that we need the pivot before anything else. Another couple of wingers and we could almost build a starting 10 of them exclusively. Between Raphina and Lamal the right seems covered, but the left is a wild west shootout. At center, Lewy has an excellent backup, who might actually get to show that under Flick. I really like that we have a lot of world class talent for Flick to work with as it stands. Also, let's start a pressure campaign to somehow end Longlet's evil grip on our checkbook.

It looks like we having a problem with Deco in getting in the talent we need. We need someone who knows our philosophy and works with what the coach wants. That’s the reason why we have the Vitor Roque situation. He is not always goes with the coach that’s the gist of our problem right now. We should be chasing avi Simmons right now and remember he was our academy player.
Frimpong is not needed, Onana is also not needed, a No for Stiller, Merino could be ok, Bruno will not fit, Kimmich is needed but the board can negotiate for him, Nico is a talented winger who will fit very well so the board can also negotiate for him, Diaz won't be needed here, Dani Olmo is too expensive for the position he will be occupying, Simons should come here on loan to access him very well
Honestly, Deco is a sporting director not a coach. All the players Deco want are all above 50m. No doubt they’re all good quality players. Nico Williams would be our best target, the left wing is a gaping hole in the team, we also need speedy players, imagine Balde and Nico on the left side, that would make any oponent avoid that side of the field entirely.

Simons on loan is great. If cancelo leaves frimpong is also great. Nico williams is a must ! The rest is really mediocre or to expensive. For pivot we have amazing wonderkids. For right back to with ford but a main right back like frimpong is amazing and ford as 2nd

I'm just a casual fan so I know we need a new pivot so we can free up FDJ and I think he is one of our best players. But with Gavi, Pedri, Fermin and Gundogan I wouldn't be looking around at anyone but a pivot. Can christensen fill in for a pivot for another year? For wingers I know Nico is in vogue right now but there are other young talents in the same age range it seems because of the spanish team connection he is being pumped up. I know I hear about Doue and he seems to come in at a smaller price tag. And this could be me hoping to see an American be good enough to start for Barca one day but Pulisic seems like he could be a discount winger who is coming off a great season and could allow the club a little more financial breathing room while they offload the likes of Lenglet, Dest, Ferran, Garcia...maybe FDJ if he won't lower his contract, though the team was much better with him on the field than off.

It’s so sad and ironic to talk about this but we don’t get anywhere. Having Hansi Flick in our club is a sign of change in direction but if we still have people like Deco who will come and interfere with your work, that won’t be helpful. Onana, Diaz, Olmo; these are players that will cost us a lot of money without any assurance of success in our club. We still need a defensive midfielder because we can’t have a weak attack like last year, an open midfield and a leaking defense to expect something in this coming season. I’d rather look in La Masia, players who can play as a DM because that’s where Busquets came from and he was given a chance!

I think why we are pursuing Olmo is due to his whereabout right now. He's in Germany. He has been in Germany for couple of years now, he can understand German. He can be a translator to Flick and to the other Spanish players. I know Flick already has his translators, we already also have Ter Stegen and Gundogan that can help Flick and the team with that, but having Olmo that can be an extra translator that can understand German and speak fluent Spanish (obviously..) wouldn't hurt. Frimpong could also be an translator to De Jong, just saying. But I understand that both of them probably will have big price tags and that's an obstacle to the current economy at the club unfortunately.

I’d sign Nico Williams for 50m, sell Ferran for 20/25m still not sure about who we should sign for the pivot position maybe Zubimendi for 60m, I know it’s 110m but that’s 2 positions sorted and with the bonus from Nike coming we should be able to afford it.

You can't have Lewandoski, Vitor, Lamine, Ferran, Raphinha , Felix and Nico competing for 3 spots on the attack. I would sign Xavi on loan. He won't cost much and would be a perfect fit on the left wing and even in midfield when we have injured midfielders like De jong and Pedri. He can operate in the midfield very well.
If it comes to sale, I would sell Ferran, even if it's just 20 million.
No club right now would buy Ferran for 30 or 35 million.

We have already too many promising players, we need a good winger even if we pay 120 milions. Look how real did with vinicious, with Rodrygo, with Belingham. When you say “different profile” when addressing the player makes it sound like it’s a bad things when in reality it might be what we need after all. Yes Barcelona has a style and identity but past few years we have been predictable in a play and that’s whole point of signing a manager like Flick.
I'd target Nico Williams and bring back Nico Gonzalez for the holding midfield role. But who knows if we will actually sign anyone. No one is willing to leave it seems.
Raph just broke out as a top quality inside forward on the left, I know that doesn't fit the prototype Flick side but I do hope we don't just waste that
