@@DrRohiniM True. I had stayed in US for a while. A colleague of mine always referred to his partner as 'The wife' whenever she called our Laboratory. They did this to get benefit of single parent but it never felt odd.

I m personally against Live in relationship. In live in relation there is no sense of responsibility towards each other. But yes it's peoples choice and choice shud be respected
But according to me live in relationship actually adds on responsibility among couple.. they share the rent, do the household together, both are equally responsible to say to day chores..

I don't understand why live-in was clubbed with idea of kindness, as far as being judgemental is concerned, no one should be.... but really are you ppl normalizing live-in? Nothing can replace institution of marriage because of its sanctity, respect and handling of responsibilities mutually.
No one is replacing the institution of marriage. At the same time, there's no place for discrimination against people who are not ready for this institution yet.

Instead of normalising this western culture why don't we all condemn this?? I'm not pls passion thinker but love my traditions and this is not a sanatan dharma practices. In name of liberalization we r erroding our roots.
Marriage is not a liability it's a responsibility which must not be weakened like in western countries. We have 5000 years of culture. So instead of normalising any of such practices you should introspect first.
