I’ve had the update downloaded for a while. Wondered why no one was talking about it. I liked the scraper but was confused how to scrape my pre existing setup. Helped me to find that option. Thank you so much for that!
I try this version for my Megadrive Mini. It’s awesome ! I put full set 32X, Sega-CD, Megadrive, Master System and Game Gear on USB key. It’s easy to use it and it’s more stable than Project Lunar. I play .chd with picodrive and .cue + .img/bin with genesis plus. Be careful, use genesis plus for game with multi-disc like Night Trap, picodrive don’t work with multi-disc when you change disc. Don’t forget to apply the good core for all of your Sega-CD iso 😉 For information, .chd file is more compress than .bin or .img 😉 Enjoy 👍
I'm planning on doing this too. How big of a flash drive did you need to fit them all and were there any major hiccups you could help me avoid? Thanks.

Hi, I just got the Sega Genesis classic few days ago, saw and followed your older video about installing the Hakichi V3.7. I just saw this video today. The one I downloaded turned out to be the latest V3.8 version, it worked. My only question is for the Ninja Turtle game had issues as you mentioned in your V3.7 video. I changed the emulation core. The game itself didn't work after when I changed it, I even tried the other version but nothing. Only when I went back to the original core, m2engage, it worked again but with no sound still. Any ideas?? also wanted to know, Hikachi works with my SNES Classic?? Before I give it a try. Thank you!!
I solved it by switching to the Genesis Plus GX emulator. I also remember turning off an image filter to remove the blur, but now I can't remember which one. Just a detail: I use Project Lunar (not that it's better).
@@Restalgia I haven't done it in a while, couldn't you only add a few at a time and then sync and then load the system on the TV. If its changed my bad. I know it doesn't have the memory for the entire library but I recollect it being a bit of a pain

@Restalgia Thanks so much for this. I tried it and it worked, but then after putting games on it retroarch just won't start up again. I flashed the kernel several times, reset it, put it back to original state, then reinstalled, downloaded a new fresh hackchi 3.8 in a new folder. Nothing. The games show up but once you click on it nothing happens. Every game works that is M2 emulation. As soon as you select SNES9x or genesis plus (Konami games and others) it just doesn't work. I also tried it on my SNES mini with the same result. Can you advise?
So which hack is better? Project Lunar or Hakchi? I bought the true blue for genesis and I hate it because it flashes the kernel and if you want to switch usb back to project Lunar, you need to uninstall and reflash. I hope we have something like autobleem for genesis in the future. I hate that you need to resync everytime you wish to add or remove a game. For the sake of artwork, this hack is worth all the trouble.

You can currently load more games with hakchi because of folder support and kmfd's mod hub is a great resource. Project lunar has more front end options, like emulation station and retroarch us I know alot of really interesting features are coming down the pipeline. The one that's better is subjective based off what you are wanting your console to do. :)
I keep seeing, USB drive during these videos. But know one has showed us on how to use that feature yet? I'm wondering if we can use the USB drive for the mod. Instead of putting it on the main system?
I show how to do it in this video. Plug a usb drive into your pc, then in hakchi, press the export to usb button, and it will transfer all the games to the usb drive. Plug it into the second controller port or in an OTG adapter and it will run off the usb drive.

What about md games needed retroarch to run with project lunar? Does new hakchi choose the needed core automatically?
No, hakchi will default nes, snes and genesis games to the native emulators, but you will need to assign the emulators you want outside of that.
