Cool to see Kevin Bauman get a TD. Guy has been through a lot.
I keep going back and forth between wanting Leonard and Angelli. I think I’ve landed on sticking with Riley leaning heavily on the run game and play action. I love Angelli and think he throws a nice ball, but the O Line is shaky (especially with injuries) and Riley Leonard is more capable of navigating the pocket and avoiding pressure. He needs to work on keeping his eyes down field when he escapes the pocket because there were wide open receivers he could dump off to for even bigger gains, but that can be taught. It’s hard to teach his evasiveness

I disagree unless one of the QBs is getting the vast majority of snaps. If you run a 50/50 QB system the offense will never find a rhythm

@@DJ7mph the only way I see it working is Angelli gets most of the load and RL comes in for some specific packages. I don’t think there’s much benefit to the offense with that though. I’d rather just see them tune the offense to Riley’s strengths. Lean heavy on the run game. Mix in some read options. Then some RPOs. All of that building up to play action. We have the weapons to run that style of offense and it would help the offensive line out because they’re not good enough to protect in regular pass pro

Actually, the only reason Purdue scored was because ND's defenders bumped into each other leaving Purdue's receiver wide open.
It could have and should have been a shutout.
Freeman's Achilles heel has been playing to their opponents' level. He still has a chance to have more wins after three seasons than any other coach in ND history. Dan Devine and Brian Kelly are currently tied with 28.

I'm sorry, but I cannot share your excitement. An up-and-down team showing a lack of consistency is underserved of a shot at the championship. If consistency is improved, and they beat Louisville and GT, getting to LA with an 11-1 record, I will change my mind. Riley is an extra running back in the backfield, which will help the running attack. Let's see what they do against Miami (OH), in South Bend
Skeptical bc Riley Leonard cant throw lol Anyone of our qbs cohldve scored those 3 rushing TDs, so thats not impressive. What was nice, was seeing Qb 2 and 3 make qb1 look like a chump, scoring with ease.
Riley looked great.

Leonard is terrible. Should be 3rd string bench warmer. Can't throw accurately. Can't throw further than 10 yards. Too slow to pull the trigger. Drops too deep in the pocket making it difficult for the tackles. Big deal he can run, so can the running backs.
I agree with you in parts but Riley's running does help tip the scales in ND's favor!

Stop with the hyperbole. Our 5th string RB is not starting at half of FBS. Also you said if we get our passing game going then our offense will be dynamic? There has been 0 signs of that happening.
