    You have made so so many videos and made us understand your stitches so easily. I have learned so much from you. Even tho i have knitted for about 11 years im still learning new stitches and ways to knit. Have you ever done a video on stranded colorwork knitting? I am thinkin of knitting with pins on my shoulders to get even tension with that technique. I love all colorwork. Thank you for all the work you put into your wonderful videos. I am going to watch more again tomorrow. Im behind on them.

    How do you compensate for the size of a garment if you use such a large size needle?

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  8 лет назад

      +SwampCat Nana For lace patterns, we usually use 1 or 2 larger size needles that what the yarn calls for. You can see the number size needles in the back of your yarn.

  • @miggy4ever
    @miggy4ever 9 лет назад +1

    how do you know what size needle to use? why does the yarn have numbers?

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  9 лет назад

      +Maggie Lepe The yarn does have numbers. #4 yarn calls for a #8 or 9 knitting needle. It will also show in the yarn. For this stitch, since you want it to look like lace, you need about 2 needle sizes larger.
